A Bump in the Road (Keith)

[Lilith]

"Okay Lil you have got to be there at seven o'clock. Remember you can't be late." Mr Donahue told her as they headed outside of Guardian Stuidos.

Guardian studios was the leading recording studio in the state at the moment and really beginning to take off. Lilith was one of the first that had signed on with the studio and had fallen in love with each and every person that worked there. They had become like her family looking out for her and helping her through some difficult times. She smiled at her manager, he was always worried that because she was so young that she would forget her obligations and not show up to something ruining some of her reputation.

"Chill out chief, I'll be there I promise." she said with a smile. Donahue smiled at the young silver headed girl as he opened the glass door to the studio and let Lilith step out.

"I know Lil but I have to make sure you are young." he reminded as Lilith spun around her short skirt flaring for a brief bit as she chuckled.

"Young yes but irresponsible no. I do support myself and my brother, I think I've got that stuff down pat." she said as she took a step back opening the folder where the copy of her latest contract was. she had just finished recording a single and in the folder were copies of cover art she had to go through and decide on.

"Lilith watch out!" he cried. Lilith's head shot up and she gave him a 'huh?' look.

"Oof!" she had backed right into someone as she had completely not been watching where she was going and had not expected anyone to be behind her as she stepped out onto the pavement of the sidewalk. she looked up for a moment and smiled. "hey I remember you, you're keith, the guy from the park right?"

She spun herself around again the flare of her short white tennis skirt flared again and her pale sky blue sweater played off her lavender eyes and her silver hair. she smiled now facing him.

"Well I can't bump into you and not offer you coffee now can I? Or food perhaps?" she asked curiously.

"Lil, remember, .."

"Geez boss I know, seven o'clock, no later or your slice and dice me I get it." she said as she sighed. Looking back up at Keith she smiled.

"So what do you say?"

[Keith]

"hey I remember you, you're keith, the guy from the park right?"

Keith stopped in his tracks as he turned his attention towards the girl. The voice sounded familiar. However, the appearance wasn't familiar to him. Keith had on a blindfold that day and couldn't see squat. He had on a pair of black leather pants, black boots, a black shirt, and a long black leather coat on. His black shades were on that covered his eyes.

That was Lilith, right?

"So what do you say?"

Keith raised an eyebrow behind those black shades. He was definitely caught off guard on this one.

"Eh?" Keith asked in his English accent. "Who may you be?"

[Lilith]

"Aww you don't remember me?"

Lilith pouted playfully after all he had a blindfold on that day so it wasn't like he would have seen her and she had left before the fight was over when the storm began to get nasty. so it would be true he probably couldn't identify her from sight alone but still she was glad to see a familiar face. Lilith smiled holding out her hand happily.

"I'm Lilith Crane!" she said happily. "We met the other day when you were practicing .. what was it.. stick.. blindfold.. umm.. Kendo! Yeah it was Kendo in the park. And we talked a little but then some girl came and you fought her but I had to leave before you were done. so you never actually got to see me but that's who I am. Lilith." she said with a bright smile.

"We don't have to go anywhere, I'm just offering since I was rude and bumped right into you. I didn't mean to and I appologize just my manager here was talking to me about the same thing over and over again so I was trying to get him off my back." oh Lord she was starting to ramble. Lilith clapped her mouth shut quickly and blushed.

"So.. would you want to go some where or are you busy? Because I'm not busy.."

"Lilith!" Her manager scowled.

"Until seven o'clock." she finished shooting Donahue a look. "don't you have papers to file.. CDs to burn or something?" her manager growled and disappeared back inside. Liliths attention returned to Keith.

"So now that we've been introduced again you up for something?"

[Keith]

"Aww you don't remember me?"

Keith saw the girl hand out her hand for a handshake. It was pretty interesting to say. She seemed to be pretty cheerful of the matter.

"I'm Lilith Crane!"

Ah, that was the girl in the park...

"We met the other day when you were practicing .. what was it.. stick.. blindfold.. umm.. Kendo! Yeah it was Kendo in the park. And we talked a little but then some girl came and you fought her but I had to leave before you were done. so you never actually got to see me but that's who I am. Lilith."

Yeah, Keith remembered that. Mitsuki, the current school captain of 259 challenged him to a match. It was the second time they would fight.

"So.. would you want to go some where or are you busy? Because I'm not busy.."

"Lilith!"

"don't you have papers to file.. CDs to burn or something?"

Keith remained silent as Lilith and this person were talking to each other. Then the guy would disappear and Lilith would soon turn her attention back towards Keith.

"So now that we've been introduced again you up for something?"

Keith shrugged, "sure, why not?"

[Lilith]

"Well spiffy!"

He didn't shake her hand so she just let it fall back to her side as if it had never been held up at all. he seemed nice enough and she wasn't doing anything and for once her brother wasn't tailing her which meant he was doing something he shouldn't. But she couldn't keep tabs on her little brother all the time he needed to grow up eventually. So when keith agreed he was greeted with a bright smile on her face.

"So, where would you like to go? My treat if you don't mind, I did bump into you after all and now I'm forcing you to go out with me." she chuckled softly.

"And I have looked for you around school but I never see you, probably because my brother shoves me from one class to the next before I can barely blink but moving on! So, I was wondering, what other kinds of things you do besides Kendo." she asked curiously trying to spark up some conversation.

[Keith]

"So, where would you like to go? My treat if you don't mind, I did bump into you after all and now I'm forcing you to go out with me."

Oook...

Damn, she seemed to be pretty hyper, chipper, and so forth. Definitely a different aura than Keith's aura. Perhaps Keith could beat Dylan up and make him Lilith's boyfriend. But Keith would have to offer something to Dylan to make it worth something. However, that would have to wait.

"And I have looked for you around school but I never see you, probably because my brother shoves me from one class to the next before I can barely blink but moving on! So, I was wondering, what other kinds of things you do besides Kendo."

Keith raised another brow behind those black shades of his. She was looking all over for him, huh? That was quite intriguing... But why would someone want to find Keith for unless it was business or fight related? Keith would never know...

To answer her question, Keith shrugged.

"Not sure, whatever I'm in the mood for... What I do besides Kendo depends on my mood," he answered.

[Lilith]

"Allright, so I guess the last question of the moment is, what are you in the mood for today? Food? Coffee? Movie? What would you like to do?"

Lilith wasn't just going to chose after all she was doing this for him and not herself and he did seem nice. But she wasn't just going to chose for him unless he made her and then they would probably go get something to eat because it would be easy and they could get to know each other a little more. She wondered silently if he always hid his eyes. Last time she had seen him he had been blindfolded for his fighting and now he wore sunglasses. She was curious about him, not really in a dating sense she didn't even know the guy she was just curious about him.

"So, any ideas?"

[Keith]

"So, any ideas?"

Keith contemplated. Not many good movies out in theaters nowadays. Most of them were just utter shit and Keith didn't feel like wasting his money nor Lilith's money. Food, Keith wasn't that hungry. Keith could always go for coffee. It would be casual and less intimate.

Afterall, Keith barely knew the girl. So it would be awkward getting something to each together. There, the decision was made. It would be to go out and get some coffee. And possibly a sugar encrusted blueberry muffin.

"Coffee sounds nice," Keith answered.

[Lilith]

"Great!"

Lilith flashed him one of her bright smiles and turns so that she was beside him. she looped her arm through his since she didn't want to lose him in a crowd and it would allow them to be close. Not because she was trying to turn this into a date or anything she was definatly not trying to do that.

"Allright, I know this nice cafe pretty close by I usually hit it in the morning on my way to the studio so we can go there." she said brightly.

"So lets say your in the mood for something other than Kendo." she started as she began to lead him down the sidewalk. "What kinds of things do you find yourself doing?"

[Keith]

Keith looked as he saw Lilith loop her arm around his arm. This was a very interesting day to say at least. He never expected today to turn out like this. In a sense, it was very strange to say at least.

"Allright, I know this nice cafe pretty close by I usually hit it in the morning on my way to the studio so we can go there."

Keith saw her bright smile. He wasn't one for smiling once. In a sense, Keith hadn't genuine smiled in months especially after transferring over to 259 from 552. But Keith was far from ready to being able to flash a real smile.

"So lets say your in the mood for something other than Kendo."

She seemed to want to pick at his brain while they walked to this nearby cafe.

"What kinds of things do you find yourself doing?"

"Hmmm, I guess one of the things would be drive my motorcycle around," he answered.
