Avice would tie snuggly a scarf over her empty sockets and furthermore she would hoist the canister to dangle at her hip the strap going across her body and over the opposite shoulder. She would make it snug and tied close to her body. She was afraid to leave Derik here and more so afraid to take him with. She, however, was closing doors by doing this. She wondered if even that was a smart choice?
She destroyed the eyes, has no qi, and is left blind... But she can't stay here forever... she would feel her way towards the door and open it. She would feel the warmth of the sun but her world was still about as black as pitch. She would wait on Drake to come by. When he did they would no doubt some form of transportation to their destination. Avice would not be able to speed them like she did Raikotsu... this was going to be a few hours of travel.

Drake would show up and immediately look at the canister.
"Uh... You aren't planning on taking the kid with us... were you?"

"As much as Kentler has helped us both... I am damned if I do and damned if I don't, because I have very... very little trust in anything right now. If I take him with me and I know there is a chance something happens to me then it is no different." There really was no difference. "Besides he is due to open any day. I am a little nervous to leave him out of my sight."

Drake would fold his arms and tap his fingers on his bicep.
"So, you're saying that, worse case scenario, it is better for him to die with you, than for him to grow up without you?"
He questioned her confused.

"No... because more people seem to want this child than they want me. If I die and leave him here or if I die and he is taken then either way, he is with strangers and I am damned if I do or damned if I don't. Something Barker told me about this child's strength when he was no bigger than the palm of a hand no doubt he'll remain." she didn't like her odds. "What would you suggest otherwise? Leave him here where Raikotsu was raised?"

Drake rolled his eyes.
"Yes. Leave him here in a place that is well defended. Where he will be protected, and while you're trying to emotionally manipulate me into rejecting them because of my father's background, but for the ONE Dragon they produced, there are so many more here that NEVER chose that path. So, you're argument seems invalid on all accounts. But, I did say you should make you're own decisions so, this is on you. Make sure you are willing to pay the price for being wrong. No matter what you decide."

He didn't see what she saw in that Delusion. She should understand better than that. So many things flew about in her mind and uncertainty reigned supreme. "I didn't mean it like that... I apologize." If it made no difference if she took him or left him then that is how it was going to be no matter what.
She would disappear back into her quarters and have a word with her own Qi sprite to stay and watch over the canister and feed their pet fox as per usual. It was a good few more minutes when she emerged again without the cannister.
She would clench her jaw and her thin cheeks rippled from the tension.

Drake would wait as she went and put Derik away again. Honestly he was more concerned about having to take care of the kid if she died. Taking care of a test tube baby wasn't very high on his 'want to do' list.

"Are we traveling by track or wheel?" she'd ask him wondering if she should head to a station or something else.

Drake shrugged.
"I don't know where we are going, sure territory two something or another, but no clue where that is. So, up to you on how we get there."

"Aye and if you are not even going to try, you can stay here. I asked for your help you can say no." she barked. She started some habitual routines she picked up to measure time or day or direction but realized they were all for people who can see... She grunted and mumbled while already heading somewhere... Anywhere... Probably no where. "Couldn't look at a damn map to know where one of the biggest and most well known territory's are...

"I said I would help, I didn't say I would do it for you. Blind or not this is your 'quest'. So how about you stop whining about things not going your way and you try doing something about it."
Drake folded his arms as he followed her.
"Unlike others I'm not going to throw paths for you to take at your feet. It's time for you to choose your own path to take. I merely elected to follow to attempt to help keep you from dying."

"Is that what you think I asked of you? Do it for me?" she was about fed up with this. She stopped and turned towards him. "I can manage fine on my own with a little more time and a bit of perseverance but if you think for one moment I asked you to come along so that you could carry me... Then just go back because so far it makes no fucking difference if this is the rate we are going."

Drake smiled.
"There we go! That's the spunk you didn't have last night!"
He chuckled.
"Anyways, now that we've got that settled. Which would you rather? Walk or drive? I did check the map and it actually isn't too far from here a few hours walk, or so."

Her brow furrowed hardly amused and regrettably relieved. "About as witty as ye was..." she said under her breath as if talking to a ghost and confirming that it might be genetic. It would have taken her minutes at her most... Walking for hours feels like a painful reminder.
"Let us ride if you don't mind. Aye?"
