"Hmmm." Untouched, as expected, but while Eve wanted to make sure she had this ability down as easily as her own, she also wanted to play a bit and see what else she could do.
First, though, was making sure she had this one down on its own and that one time wasn't just luck.

The second spike would erupt from the ground striking him and his armor true, though like before it would be deflected. He'd raise an eyebrow at her, almost in a silent challenge to do better. He had faith in her, she was learning quickly. And she wasn't just his daughter, but her Mother's too. She wasn't the type to just get frustrated and quit.

Eve would have seen that challenge ten miles away. She huffed, but there was a slight smirk on her face still in silent acceptance.
It was time to play a little. Drawing up the energy from the ground before she ever lifted her foot, she added the energy boost it gave her to strengthen the spike she sent towards her father.

"Not bad."
She was chaining the ability he had taught her with their last lesson. It was a smart move, and he was glad he didn't need to tell her to do that. If there was any doubt in his mind that she was going to be okay after these lessons, they were quickly vanishing.

"But not good enough," she pointed out, tip of her tongue licking her lips as she considered what the best option was...which was earth-encased energy spikes to turn her boot into cleats as she struck the earth once again and sent a spike towards Mathew.
She wondered what would happen if she mixed qi types.

She was making him proud, but he was still confident in his own defenses and his ability to gauge her abilities. It was close though, and he could feel his stone start to give way as she slammed her foot into him with the spike encrusted cleats.
"Most can't make me bleed on their own. You'll get there though."
Again, she was his daughter.

And the abilities kept stacking. He felt like she was forgetting the point of this little training session. Well, he would have to knock her back down to Earth. Literally. Slamming a foot down when the visor appeared over her face a blunted stone pillar would shoot from her left to try and zing her right in the ribs and knock her down to the ground.

Evelyn-bridge went falling down as the spike hit her in the ribs, knocking her to the ground as she tried to step back from the obvious threat in her face. She hit the ground with a grunt and a wince and started trying to push herself upright as the air was knocked from her lungs and she felt her ribs give.
"An attack can come from anywhere," she managed, slamming her hand down to send a blunted spike behind him to hit him in the back.

"From more than one direction as well. You can funnel them and restrict their movement as well as harm them."
Or try to harm them in this case as her spikes hit his armor but did not penetrate.

It was something she hadn't played around with much before, but Eve was definitely considering it as the spectral form of her twin appeared on the field for the first time, merging with her to give her the boost of stamina and helth that she needed. Rising to her feet, Eve nodded and proceeded to try doing just that, focusing on the mastery rather than just her strength this time.
One pillar would form directly in front of him, coming up from teh ground as another came from the side!

And in a rare occurance, he found himself surprised as a spectral form of his dead daughter appeared around her before she unleashed two attacks on him. Neither of them strong enough on their own to break his armor, but together with his attention pulled away from his armor she was able to cause a large crack to form down his chest where the first pillar struck.
"What the hell was that?"
He didn't know if he was mad or just confused, only that his heart ached.

"I'm not entirely sure," she admitted, both surprised and not that the hits landed. She knew what it felt like, knew who it looked like, and knew that even though her chest hurt, she felt better. More whole, or at least not as empty.
"I don't think it's ever happened before? I wasn't exactly awake when it happened, though." She felt the pain ease as she straightened. "I thought I just imagined it."

Definitely uncomfortable. And frowning. Both of them. Eve shifted, arms crossing over her chest as she recalled the fight she'd had not too long ago with her inner self. The scar she bore, and how things felt different. The warm hand on her shoulder when the world faded to black.
"A few weeks ago, something happened while I was out training. I don't really know what it was or what caused it. It was like I was fighting a version of me." Her weight shifted to her other leg, looking away from him for once with the memory she wasn't proud of.
"A stronger version, at least." The version she thought she had to be to make it out here. "It won. Near the end, I felt a warm hand on my shoulder, but I don't know if it's teh same thing or something else entirely."
