Job: This job can only be done one time. You must make a 500 word post minimum (May be done as a thread instead, in which case must last at least 5 pages). You have been sent to deal with a dangerous Qi beast.
Bonus: Work with squad partner and fail the mission while pushing your characters as far as possible.
Payout: +3 exp, +$250
Drake would be at Cabal, his intention to seek out Asiv and get access to Leon's old office. However, he would get a notification on his PT device. He was to get with one of his squad members and hunt down a dangerous Qi beast that had been sighted in one of the nearby territories. It hadn't been hostile but the thing was apparently massive and looked dangerous as it was surrounded by a bunch of other Qi beasts. Their relationship with the larger creature was unknown as of yet. Drake would read up on the assignment and let out a dragged out sigh. He didn't have time for this... But now wasn't the time to be shrugging off responsibilities, not since he just agreed to take the Leadership Path with the Sudeki, if the very first thing he did after that was shrug off his responsibility he would be off to a bad start. Re-reading the message he saw that it said he needed to bring a squad member. He thought about it for a second on who his squad mates were... then it clicked. The crazy girl that wore a mask and headphones, and... that other guy... Well, he knew he was going to pick between the two. Now, the question remained. Where would he find Soni? Off he would go in search of the girl, sending her a message via the PT Device.

Drake would start to hear wooshes getting louder and louder, and if he looked in their direction he would see Soni bouncing in the air from the sound launches.
She'd slow herself down with a soft push of sound in front of her and land into a jog. "I had to interrupt some important stuff for this so-" she stuttered a bit due to her mind giving her a mental image of what exactly she was doing that she had just labeled "important." "-this better be important."
She subsequently pressed the necessary buttons to turn off her music.

Drake would follow the sound and find Soni making her way towards him. Something important?
"Ah. I'm... sorry. If you would like I can assist you before we head out? It's only fair that I help you, since I asked you for help."

"Uhh?" her sound would be a little higher than normal.
The mental image returned at his request: sound blasting from her headphones, her small arms and legs flailing about in what could be considered some unknown form of dance.
"It's uh.. more of a one person thing yknow? If you tried to help it'd probably just make it harder on both of us yknow? Cus we'd get in each others'...way- anyway what's the mission?" She practically interrupted herself with how fast she changed the question.

He didn't realize he was interrupting such... intimate alone time...
"Uhm, well, anyways. I was sent this."
He would say as he forwarded the mission details to Soni's PT Device.

Why was he being being weird about it??? Oh no, her heart started beating faster as she thought, he figured it out.
The message was forwarded to her and she took it as a way to escape the psychological panic. She read through the message, somewhat slowly due to her still half thinking about how he could have figured it out. When she finally finished she brought up her gaze to Drake.
"Alright, well, it looks like we can handle it."

Drake nodded.
"I could probably handle it by myself, but the mission requested I grab a squad member and if I'm being honest I'm in a bit of a hurry so, having some back up will be helpful."
He would then find the coordinates to where they needed to be heading to.
"Well, I guess let's get going. If you're ready?"

"My story?" Soni was kind of caught off guard by the question. "Well... I grew up in an orphanage and uh.." she figured she'd skip past the being tortured in several different ways in a lab part for now. "..well I stayed there til this girl Veronica found me and took me to... uh... Bacal." What was the place called again??
"What about you?"

"Hmmm, well. I was born in a brothel, raised by whores, was heavily beaten and abused by my mother since before I can even remember all to manipulate me into hating my father and the Dragons. Which was successful until just recently when I came into contact with a Primordial God, the Titan Hypnos, who showed me the truth about how my life is a lie covered up by abuse. And now I'm trying to find my new path in life by joining my Father's Clan and taking their name."

...woah. Okay, sharing personal information it was then.
"Oh wow okay. Yea I.. I wasn't sure about saying anything, but, you're so open I might as well... I was experimented on in a lab for a couple years. Tortured and what not. It sucked."
Then she realized, he was one of the first people for to tell that to. She wasn't sure whether to be disappointed in herself or proud of him for not being annoying long enough for her to feel she could say that.

Drake's curiosity was peaked.
"Experimented on? How so? And why?"
He was curious if it had anything to do with that Barker guy. In Dra Aht he had told Drake he wanted to run experiments on him thinking he was some dude named Tsui Omi.

She had to admit, this guy was getting nicer and more like a normal human being, which was quite nice.
She took a second to think. "I don't really know. I guess they were testing my powers, seeing if they could duplicate them maybe? I was pretty drugged up a lot, and I was mainly focused on escaping basically 24/7, so when that's the case, you tend not to focus on reasoning or remember much."

Drake nodded. That did indeed make sense, if he were in her shoes he would have felt the same... or killed everyone that got in his way of escaping...
"So, quick question. Have you ever heard the name Tsui Omi?"
He'd watch to see if she had any reaction to the name, if she did that would explain one part of her puzzle, maybe.
