It's early afternoon at Cabal Academy, and Lann is standing outside. For once, he's not off in the corner, hiding from others while secretly training. Instead, he's out in the middle of the courtyard, eyes closed.
He seems to be deep in thought, brow furrowing in concentration. This time, no flames appear around him. No blades form from his hands.
He doesn't fall apart.
Instead, all around Lann, the wind begins to pick up, causing the grass to wave wildly in the breeze, and his clothes to flow in waves.

Drake would be walking by when he saw some weird kid. Wind seemed to be blowing around him.
"Oh?"
Interesting. Drake would wander over a d watch for now.

A light breeze rippled out from eh courtyard as Ali passed by, a moment to relax until something else happened. A boy with pale hair stood in the near distance, apparently teh source of the wind.
"An incrementalist," she mused with a small nod of approval. She opted out of saying anything immediately since things were going well. Seeing the other young man, she raised a brow, but he seemed more intruiged than she was, and just as keen to observe the demonstration.

Lann doesn't notice those who have shown up, and he struggles even harder, beginning to actually sweat with exertion.
The wind picks up suddenly, and the grass around him actually uproots and gets blown away!

"Hmmm..."
Was a Drake would say. This kid had potential, but it looked like doing this much was taking a lot out of him. He needed to learn how to use his energy more efficiently. Drake then shook his head. He had been training with Sudeki for too long he was beginning to think like them.

Still learning, then. She cocked her head to the side with a quiet hum, toe tapping the ground for a moment before the whirlwind of grass was unleashed. She raised an arm up to shield her face with a small huff and a shake of her head.
"You need to breathe. Whatever you're trying to do, you're going too hard."

Lann can suddenly feel the air flow for over a mile, every stream, breath, motion. It was his to command. Should he look around he would notice the sun its self was red, the sky sharing it's crimson hue, the clouds black, tree's black. The ground was nothing but a puddle of crimson mud. Though it wouldn't be scary to him for some reason. It was kind of soothing.
To everyone else they would see only that Lann's eyes had turned red.

"Hm?" Lann's eyes open suddenly, and the wind abruptly dies down to nothing. He looks over where the voice had come from, seeing Ali and giving a small nod. "I... have to admit. I'm out of practice using this power."
He's pleased at the results so far though! Red has always been such a nice colour...

Red eyes... despite being born with Red eyes, Drake found this completely unnerving and proceeded to activate his Seikatsugan to stare at this kids aura... it was... what the hell was he looking at?!
"The fuck is wrong with you?"
His Soul looked fine... but there was... extra souls inside of him? One that was... bad. Real bad. And one that was... high?

"Well, make sure you don't burn yourself out while' you're at it." The shift to red eyes was surprising since he didn't seem to be using any other qi, but perhaps that was why it was stronger. Ali's lips pulled down in a tiny frownn for a moment before she shook her head and glanced at the boy beside her.
"And what, exactly, is wrong with him? Aside the transformation."

"There's nothing... wrong with me."
Lann frowns, finding that whole idea pretty rude. Clearly, this guy was a jerk.
But he wasn't going to say it out loud. Instead, he'd rather talk to the nice one.
"I'll try not to, thank you. Do you... uh... know a lot about wind, in general? Like I said, I'm out of practice."

"This kid has more than one soul. Or more accurately, he has pieces of other people's souls. That, and... there is something off about your soul. Like, you've changed and your soul hasn't. Thats... odd. Also! There are holes in your soul. Eight of them to be exact."
Drake then looked to the woman beside him and would investigate her soul, because hey, when in Rome.
"That's what I see in him."

Drake can see he has 8 holes in his pure soul, besides the extra's.

"I see." Ali's brows raised, not entirely sure if she believed the dark-haired boy or not. There was no reason to lie unless he thought to make a joke, but there was no mistaking a brief glimmer of interest at the mention of so many holes in the soul. That was unheard of.
Alas, this was revealed to a battle mage, and not a straight-A student. She considered Lann more carefully, oblivious o Drake examining her own soul. Drake would see a relatively pure soul, marred only slightly by the deaths that came with wartime battle. Whole, bright, and in one piece.
"He seems finee nough." Nodding, she would address the wind user!
"What's your name?

"I have no idea what any of that means."
Lann frowns.
This... could be rude? He's not sure anymore.
"Lann. I'm originally from... Territory 71, before I came here."
And before someone dropped a fucking castle on it.
