That's when the strangest things happen! As soon as Valerian and Marin attempt to activate their powers they would both feel incredibly dizzy and feel like they lost all their strength. It would take a couple of moments for the feeling to pass... Then they would feel fine except for a mild headache and a strong urge to not do that again...

Marin flattens on the ground, not liking that feeling. It made her sleepy.
And then she had a headache so now she was cranky too.
