Avice was handed her child after he had been cleaned and they spoke to her about documentation before leaving her to be the mother this boy needs. Alone in her Sudeki Quarters she felt like it was becoming much smaller of a place but it was cozier and peaceful. Granted she still couldn't see so she was trying to get a feel of the baby's face. It winced and grumbled. She might have tickled him? She had a little experience with babies back when they were shoved on her as a child in the orphanage but this baby she couldn't shove off into an older kid when it's diaper would be changed.
Her fox, Siobhan, came out of hiding and gave a smell of he child's whispy soft hair causing another ticklish gurgle from the Newborn. But hearing the noise startled the skittish baby fox sending the Qi-beast to leap back a good distance.
This made Avice chuckle a bit. Something strange could be felt from the silence of the room. She was terrified and uncertain but somehow it didn't matter. The child's soft cheek was calming as she glided her finger across him. Suppose she would take this one step at a time. She had all the time in the world and Derik Raizlon Locke had plenty of steps to take.
She could see his Qi, thankful for the fact she could see something of him to aid her in this new situation. It was barely a spark that pulsed with the beat of his heart.
"I wonder if anyone felt this was when they looked at me..." She grinned. "Did they fill me full on promises? Did they see the future in my every move?" She felt her nose tickle and her lips quiver she stopped before the tears would have a chance to manifest. "I want to be all I ever wanted to you. Answers, guide, or beloved... Whatever you need. I know it was all I ever wanted, I just hope I have it in me."
