Gear interrupted (Event open to 2)

[Allison Kazim]

Cute kid.

"Pleased to meet you, Sherbert." Ali gave the shy guy a small smile and nodded.

"We should be good now. The sooner we can start back, the better. Thank you again for your asistance, Azure."

Once all the farewells and niceties were out of the way, she'd leave with the team!

[Donovan]

"The hell kind of name is Sherbert?"

But Donovan didn't really wait for an answer as he waved and proceeded to walk away. Pondering the name choice by himself.

[Lucifer]

Sherbert flinched at Donovan's tone.

"N-nice t-t-to meet you t-t-too."

He'd stammer out to Ali before noticing Donovan was already leaving. His eyes widening in shock he'd scurry to try and get ahead of Donovan!

"U-uh th-this way. And d-don't w-worry. I-I-I-I w-will k-keep you s-safe."

Ali just kind of takes it in stride. She's already frustrated and used to Donovan's lack of foresight at this point.

"He's a little rough around the edges, but he isn't trying to be rude. I think." That seemed to end in fists flying.

"Hopefully there won't be trouble on the way. Most of the villagers we left in peace."

[Donovan]

Donovan chuckled at Sherbert's claim.

"Ah, is that so?! I admire your spunk!"

He would say as he hard patted the boy on the back. Then he would turn to Ali.

"It is unlikely we should run into trouble. But even if we do, we have this guy, and I'll bet hes a tough opponent just hiding his true potential to lure in the strong fighters! Isn't that right Sherbert?!"

[Lucifer]

"Uhhhh... H-hopefully w-we just w-won't find t-t-trouble."

He hunched his shoulders and kept on keeping on!

[Allison Kazim]

"I'm sure it will be just fine." Ali nodded, trying to balance the pep with the fact she could all but physically see Sherbert retreating into a shell.

"If something does happen, Azure selected you for a reason, and Donovan is right; we may need your assistance." She's not going to call him spunky.

"What is it you can do with your abilities?"

[Donovan]

Donovan would listen, curious as well.

[Lucifer]

He didn't say anything and just retreated quietly back into his shell!

[Allison Kazim]

Don't talk to the shy guy with a stigmatized background who probably is hurt and hunted by other people for the same abilities she just asked about. Somewhere, Ali has social sensibilities. It might have been knocked out of her with the second gunshot.

New tactic time!

"So what is the first thing you are looking forward to doing when you get settled in?"  She isn't expecting much to trouble them, but she glances around anyway.

[Donovan]

Donovan was now bored with the change in conversation and would instead just survey the land!

[Lucifer]

"I-I d-don't know."

He frowned as he kept walking. Rubbing at his arm uncomfortably.

Donovan would see it was the way they came, and they were approaching non-wasteland lands.

[Allison Kazim]

"I see." Ali lets the conversation drop at that, surveying the land and leaving their guide in peace as they go!

[Donovan]

Donovan would turn to Sherbert.

"Next time we meet, let's fight! I wanna see how strong you are!"

[Lucifer]

"M-maybe..."

His tone said please no though.

Eventually, they would see the next town on the horizon, unharmed and people milling about in the fields.
