After the events at the grand hall, Ali found she was still bothered by certain parts of the disaster more than others. The breach in security, certainly; they'd grown lax, or the threat received had been dismissed. She wasn't sure how that part had happened, but it was other things too. Certain things said before and after the battle didn't sit well with her, leving her restless and unable to focus on her life back at the Academy. Before she hit the books, however, she needed to focus on hitting something else to clear her head.
So she was off to the raining grounds to find the best way to help with that!

Speaking of hitting.
Cain stands in one of the mock-city locations, currently slicing a generic one-handed sword through the air rather furiously. Each swing is more powerful than the last, up until he ends up smacking one of the traffic poles, sending it toppling towards Allison!

It was excellent hitting.
Ali side-stepped the pole as it came crashing down, the mock-city debris hitting her in the arm enough to leave debris and a bruise under the cloth, but nothing she'd cry over.
"Not bad."

"Oh!"
Cain is somewhat surprised that the falling pole heads for a person, but is more surprised when said person appears to be fine afterwards.
Well, if she wasn't going to make a big deal of it, neither was he.
"I usually do better. I forgot that pole was there."
He glances at her arm.
"You uh... alright?"

"Better awareness, or demolition?" She moved the arm up and out to her side to prove her point when he asked, wincing a he pain hat shot though it with the movement.
"I've had worse." Like internal bleeding. Or damaged pride. Her original plan might not work out as she'd hoped, however. Slowly lowering her arm back to her side, she'd flex her fingers, insead, feelignteh tinges of pain with the movement.
"I'll be fine. Nothing broken and it's still attached." No uniform out here, so no fuss over her clothes. He was lucky there, even if there was a note of disdain in her voice. Should she have moved faster or notice the pole? Probably. But he should have first.

"Both."
Cain says, like it's obvious. She probably didn't even know who he was.
"I'm Cain Rhamos."
It may sound like a simple introduction, like one would do upon meeting someone for the first time, but that's not his intention. Everyone should know his name by now.

"Allison Kazim." She held out a hand for him to shake if he chose, opting not to bow to some boy on the field. he didn't carry himself like a noble, so that was a bonus, but his own lack of gesture when he introduced himself lost points, too. He couldn't be afraid of hurting her; she'd said she was fine.
"What can you normally do?" She eyed the area warily, unsure if she should be concerned or impressed.

Cain squints at the hand being offered towards him.
She....she doesn’t know....
“Both. I’d usually not hit the pole if I was paying attention, and if I meant to, it’d be gone.”
He snorts dismissively.
“You know. Sometimes I don’t realize how strong I am.”

She had no clue and no reason to care. Dropping her hand back to her side, she sniffed and rolled her eyes.
“Sounds like you need to work on your situational awareness. You could turn into a liability.”
She doesn’t comment or r act to the remark on his strength. The guy was already on an ego trip.

“Liability to what?”
Cain crosses his arms in front of him, letting the sword dangle against his side.

Both brows raise. “Besides everyone around you and yourself?”
Duh.

"You say that like other people could keep up with me."
Cain's brow furrows.
"Bitch, if there was a team, I would be the team."

"They won't have to if you take yourself out from not paying attention, cretin." RUDE.

Cain doesn't know what that word means, but he sure doesn't like it.
"Figures. The only guy who could take me out is me, after all."
He unfolds his arms, pointing at her.
"Not like the rest of you could do it."

"For now, maybe." She tilted her head to the side, mouth opening slightly as she pressed her tongue against her teeth, eyes narrowing.
"You seem fairly confident in that."
