Mall Mishap

[Karel]

Yesterday, today.... tge day before, the day after... many of them had gaps where his memory failed to recollect the events that had no doubt occurred. But slowly, surely... they slithered back into his consciousness, and the more he remembered, the more he wished to forget. It was an endless cycle and it had bred a war that had been fought over the years and after a while... he was sick of it all. Peace... he wanted it so badly that even should death finally grip his throat, then he would have been more than willing to accept it. Then... his voice came. In all honesty, he had felt that killer intent for a while and had so far been able to keep that hunger that lurked within him at bay... but that voice, that voice of her lover was one thing that the beat inside him so wanted to tear apart. To feast on the chaos and pain it would have caused between the two, the very thoughts of negativity weakened his state.

And he could feel it. Something was wanting to tear away at its mental bindings... but the current Karel in front of Chi had stayed up for long nights... and with the aid of caffeine, almost 70 hours had gone by since he had properly closed his eyes. His mental state was fragile.

Turning his head towards Aureus, he stared at him in the and when he did.... that was it. Gleipnir had let loose Fenrir, and the mad dog was out to eat Odin. Two heavy steps as his glare was set on Chi's lover, the turning in Karel's eye no doubt displaying something that was beyond the norm... a build-up of Qi within his fist and he reached out for the killer blow....!

But then, a sudden piercing noise was heard within his mind. The senior blinked once or twice, realizing what was happening and tiredly fell, knocking a small case of shoes as he went down. Perhaps it was Aureus that would understand the most out of them all... having something exist within you was... at times, torture. For this individual... it was chaotic.

Chi went from angry to surprised to shocked in a matter of seconds. At first she was shocked when Aureus came up out of nowhere, placing a hand on her shoulder. She probably would have slugged him a good one in reflex, but his voice was like taking the fire off the fuse. "Aureus?!" She asked in a surprised manner, half-scowling at him because why hadn't she seen him sooner? He couldn't have just come out of nowhere...and then the next thing she knew, Karel was on his feet and launching himself at them and she leapt to the side in shock to get out of the way...but he seemed to stumble and fall into a rack of shoes. A store clerk emerged from the counter and began to shout at them to take it outside, but Chi didn't pay any attention to her, her eyes were locked on Karel. Submissive to offensive? What was wrong with him?!

[Aureus]

His eyes were focused on Karel, because Aureus still didn't trust him, no matter how bruised and battered he looked. What was he thinking? The Pillar couldn't be sure, but he sure as hell wasn't comfortable, there was something going on inside him, and for some reason or another, it felt familiar. Chi was staring at him, but he ignored her for the time being.

Hmm... He's just like us, worse even. At least I help you...to some degree. 'S a bit stereotypical if you ask me. How can it be stereotypical?! It's a fucking mental disorder you idiot. Who cares? He's an immediate danger, and you're too much of a pussy to do anything.

Their eyes locked, and both men changed in an instance. Karel's was far less pronounced, though his body language was all one needed to see. Aureus on the other hand, shifted in physical appearance. Green eyes, red hair, the usual. Karel took two steps towards him, and it started. Ding, ding.

The boy made it all too obvious what he was about to do; any idiot could detect the build up of Qi in his fist. Stepping to the side in the opposite direction as his other personality's girlfriend, Levi was in no danger of being hit; the blow was too concentrated. It didn't even matter that Karel stopped, because before he could fall, Levi took a small step forward, turned his body, bent low, and slammed his right elbow into the Senior's floating ribs.

[Karel]

All he had done, was add an injury. By fighting back, Aureus... or to be more accurate Levi was simply provoking "it" to come out again. As he struggled to get back on all fours, his head was still down as if it were already dead- merely attached to his neck, the skin and bone itself seemed to be the only thing keeping it on to his body. It yearned. It smelled a fighting spirit. It hungered for a blood bath. Only... for Karel, that "voice" was not something that whispered in his mind, nor was it an image that forced him to see himself beyond a simple mirror - it was something less, and yet more. He would feel it, daily... an abomination that grew, that he at one point had only known and now... being so... "reformed" he FIGHT could only deny. That... delicious feeling that would flare evFIGHTery moment he was asleep. The scent, FIGHT the sight, FIGHT even the smallest sliver that in the air that touched his tongue...

















































KILL.

His head snapped back. As if driven by an extra will, his composure shifted, his senses aligning themselves to a distant drumming that existed nowhere besides the depths of his head.

With a singular motion, he swiftly stood back up - right foot, left foot, knees off ground. His eyes pierced Levi - yet his pupils were unfocused, staring but never looking that glaring gaze could only tell him a single message.

You're fucked.

A singular step forward with his left, and having already been in range, his left arm took a clenched hook aimed at the junior student's exposed neck. There was little that could compare to his frightful resolve - this was the epitome of killer intent.

Whoa.. Chi had known of Levi, had even met him on occasion, but never had Chi seen the actual transformation...It was odd...knowing that her boyfriend stood right next to her, but it was Levi who was now engaging in this fight with Karel. Why was Levi fighting Karel? But before she could much as drop her jaw, Chi became aware of the sudden change in Karel as well. His eyes, they were wild..unfocused. He had said that he would destroy Aureus, but to her knowledge they had never met face to face until today. Did he mean to follow through with this threat? Chi didn't want to find out.

"Stop!! Stop it!!" She shrieked, throwing her entire hundred and eighteen pounds of self at the injured boy just as he reached even with her, before he could strike at what was now Levi. She would have tried pushing Levi out of harm's way, like someone would a person standing in front of a rogue train, but her aim was to incapacitate Karel, and by the looks of him, and with his irradic momentum, she would have an easier time bowling him over than a healthy, pugnacious Levi.

[Aureus]

Right after he had finished his attack, Levi took a step back and stood up straight once more. His left leg was leading, with his left arm raised to guard his neck and head. The right arm was held around his midsection. The teen's weight was on his back right leg. It was plain as day what was coming.

Unfortunately, before they could make contact once more, Chihiro dove on Karel, begging them both to stop. Fuck! No, Chi! What happened from there all depended on Karel. If he hurt Chi in any way, the second she was out of the way, the red head would send a kick to Karel's left kneecap.

[Karel]

That helpless voice caught his attention - his ears perched, the tension in his shoulders disappearing, the energy in his fists seemingly implode within his body before a loud piercing noise went through his head. His eyes once again became focused - his iris contracting to readjust the amount of light taken in. Then he was brough over - as Chi intervened so to was Karel brought down. He shivered... the adrenalin that was pumping in his stream was unlike his will, it persisted as that sick feeling reached his stomache. That base instinct still within him, as he rolled on to his side. Getting up, and doing his best to look away from the other two.

It was a wall. Balled fists clenched tight, his grip biting hard as red was drawn. He struck the hard surface, a crater forming around his fist before he pulled it free and continued with his other hand. He would continue until he could no longer - where he could guarantee the rush had ended, before collapsing in a heap - breathing hard, he needed reprieve.

"I'll.... I'll never see her.... ah... again.... will I?"

They hit the ground, hard, Chi jarring her right shoulder as it made contact with the hard tile of the store floor. The place was in ruins at this point, the customers all cleared out, the associate cowering behind the counter, dialing for security. Breathing heavily, she pushed herself back up to her knees before climbing to her feet as Karel threw his fist into the wall and fell to his knees. In an instant he had changed again.

"...W-what's wrong with you..?!" She asked, confusion etched in the girl's features. Something wasn't right, she knew it. These changes, it was like she was dealing with two different people. Once moment he was submissive and unknowing, the next he was homicidal...it didn't make any sense....and who was 'her?' The freshman girl?

[Aureus]

Fortunately, the girl's interruption had settled Karel down again, though Levi still wanted a fight. We settle this now! Remember everything he's done. Who cares about his situation. He's a constant threat! No! Just...wait. Struggling for control, The red head fell to his knees, much the way Karel had and for a similar reason. A few moments later, Aureus was himself again, panting from the mental strain of it all.

"Damnit, Chi! What're we supposed to do about him? He's like me, ya know. Or at least somewhat..." The Pillar confessed, the signs clear as day. He still hated the boy though, regardless of his problem. He just couldn't forgive him.

[Karel]

"Like... 'me'?"[/i]

His breathing was irregular, the strain clearly obvious in his voice.

Groan.

His hands were bleeding everywhere. His palms, torn under his own tight grip whilst his knuckles were grazed from his rage against the wall.

"...she.. .she promised!"

He tried to yell, but couldn't, the exasperation in his speech, the desperation...

"She promised she would kill me if anything happened! ...why? Why didn't she?"

Boomp. Boomp.

He was a rag doll on the floor. A familiar sound ringing from within his body, heard only from his own ears. He was a right mess. A right, bloody mess.

[chihiro]

"Like...you?" Chi turned to see the the figure of her boyfriend kneeling on the ground, and glancing back at the broken Karel in the same position, things became very confused in her head. Like Aureus? How was he like Aureus??

"No." Her voice was even, stern. "He's not like you. You're not like him. You don't manipulate others, you don't threaten the safety of those around me just to get what you want. You're not a monster, you don't r-rape.." Her voice was shaking and she was becoming angry. "You are nothing like him!" And with that she ran forward, cocking her left fist back. She wanted to beat Karel, she wanted him to feel all of the pain she had, the pain that had been tearing her up inside and had destroyed everything around her.

Five black clad men with shiny metal patches flooded into the room, two of which seized Chi under her arms and pulled her back and up so her feet were barely touching the ground. She kicked and screamed and swore in resentment. "No, no, let me go! Let me, fuck, you don't understand...! I'll fucking kill you, you bastard, grrah!!" She shrieked, one of her fists actually catching her capturers in the eye, but they didn't relent.

[Aureus]

Karel was pretty much spent for the time being, just a bloody mess on the floor, and that made Aureus feel a little better. It seemed he was in great pain, both mental and physical, and that was fine retribution for what he had done to Chi. Though at the same time he could understand what he was going through, it just wasn't in him to completely hate someone.

After his last comment, his girlfriend had pretty much broken down. She was still hurting more than he could imagine, and before he had a chance to do anything about it, they were interrupted. Mall security of all people. You should have seen this coming. Fuckin' rent-a-cops.

The second they put a hand on Chi, Aureus rushed the nearest one, a flaming punch angled for his face. Ducking low to avoid a second interloper, The Pillar swept his legs out from beneath him and once he had fallen, sent a swift kick to his rib cage. A third man had attempted to put him into a full nelson, to which the teen responded by kicking both feet off of the nearest wall, forcing the man onto his back, his grip loosening. Grabbing his right wrist his his left hand, Aureus flipped onto his side, attempting to get to his feet. Placing his now free right hand on the mall cop's forearm, he twisted the limb until it snapped.

A kick to his side sent the schizo into the wall. When his attacker attempted a kick to his stomach, the teen grabbed the leg and smashed his elbow into it's knee cap. Pulling the extremity toward him, Aureus smashed his fist into the man's crotch. There were still three other security goons in fighting condition, and hopefully Chi had been able to fight back in all the commotion.

[Karel]

He wanted to repent. He had to - but at the same time, he couldn't... he wasn't sure whether he should have asked her to forgive him, but deep down he knew he couldn't. He didn't deserve forgiveness... not a chance to go back to the way he was - like a stranger who didn't want to have anything to do with this world and wander life freely... but in the end, something within him had stirred amidst the chaos. While he was tired and exhausted... he knew that if he tried - truly tried, he could come and aid the two in dealing with the mall security. But at the same time, he was afraid...

Afraid.

Of all the lunatic things that existed in this world, the one he feared was the one he knew little... and at the same time, the most. It was himself.... he feared that once he got off the floor to aid the two, drawing the blood of cheap muscle might stir his blood lust, and he mightn't have had the strength to stop himself and keep going, only to end up condemning the other two he would have tried to protect.

He tilted his head up, noticing how they had ignored him. He was on the ground, a sick bloody mess... no doubt they'd have deemed him unable. But they were wrong. As one of the goons was close to himself, and Chi was kicking and shrieking, he eyed one of them pulling out his baton. And Karel knew... that a single blow from one of them regardless of strength would always hurt.

But he would not be allowed to move.

Karel's left arm grabbed on to the goon's ankle, and with a sharp tug tripped him as he tried to rush forward - falling over to flatten his face on the floor.

One the first cop had been pulled from her, Chi used her new leverage to send a kick just below the brutes stomach. Sure it was underhanded, but they had started it. When he was doubled over she retracted her foot quickly and sent it back, this time aiming at his head. It would look like a simple double kick, the resulting oaf flying back into a surprisingly standing row of shoes, the entire shelf collapsing on top of him.

As the one goon went for Karel, and Karel tripped him up, Chi moved forward and made a sharp sweeping kick at the rent-a-cops head. He dropped and ceased moving. The senior straightened up and looked at Karel sternly, but did nothing. Her stare was enough. He had a debt to repay, but it wasn't in death. Chi wanted answers.

Hearing quick steps behind her, another cop had come up and was attempting to seize her around the stomach, she turned sharply and threw a high crescent kick to waylay him.

[Aureus]

Jesus christ...Chi IS pissed. I never thought she had it in her, even despite her uppity attitude. Yeah, I'm a little surprised too. The Pillar thought as he watched his girlfriend unleash her feminine fury upon the three remaining part-time cops. When the last came flying in his direction, Aureus threw a strong punch to his stomach. Looking around at the destruction they had caused, he couldn't help but feel a little happy.

Now that all the fighting was over with, the dark haired boy walked over to the girl. He was going to ask if she was alright, but already had an idea of what her answer would be. Thinking for a moment, Chi's intentions hit him. "What I said before, about him being like me, I meant I think he's schizophrenic," He said to her in a concerned voice. "Is that right, or not?" He asked, seeking confirmation from Karel.
