The senior was silent for a while after hearing the question. He wasn't quite sure whether or not schizophrenia was the right word given that he could turn into a... as Chi called it, a "monster". He had done some unpleasant things in his life... and thinking back on them now as he stayed still on the floor, blood and traces of tears decorating his mass, he couldn't help but wonder when it all started. It must have been ancient... growing slowly, but surely.
But in the way he grew up, he followed a particular code. Of which he would recite for the couple.
"When one receives an order, they live to fulfill it. There are no excuses for failure."
It was the short version. How it related to the current matter? Only Chi would have known.

"We'll have more time for this later, let's get out of here first." Was Chi turning soft again? Giving mercy to the guy she was just screaming she'd kill? No. "I want answers." She added simply, glancing at the downed officers. Once seemed to be shaking himself back to consciousness. They didn't have much time.
Stubbornly, she held out her hand to help Karel up. There was no way he'd be getting out here on his own. Ironically, this was exactly how the whole thing started: Karel had held his hand out to a sitting Chihiro. The tables seemed to be turned now, though Chi to help whereas Karel was to harm, and she briefly wondered if he noticed this splash of irony.
Whether he chose to accept the hand that would then help him up then release or not, but it appeared that reinforcements were already beginning to arrive. Ducking below the grabbing arms of one running man, she turned, throwing a roundhouse kick right into his chest to throw him off. "We need to leave, now." She yelled to Aureus and Karel, it was either leave or get captured. And who knew what would happen to them should that happen.

Karel's words were wasted on Aureus, as he hated the idea behind them. To always follow an order no matter what, you had to completely trust it's source and put whom or whatever over yourself. This was very dangerous, considering the chaotic nature of the world. It would be highly likely that either your source would change, you would, or maybe even both. It was surrendering your free will, and the Pillar saw that as weak and lazy. His disdain for Karel grew.
Regardless of how he felt about Karel, Aureus knew Chi was right, they had to get out of there. "Yeah, lets get going." The schizo would keep an eye on Karel, picking him up and throwing him over his shoulder if he refused Chi's help, or seemed like he wouldn't be able to move fast enough on his own.

He held in his grunt as the lights licked the walls. He turned himself over on to his side and staggered to his feet, the headache turned migraine and he collided with another rack of shoes. Regaining his balance as the blood dripped down his fists, he followed Chihiro out. While another guard tried to bring him down, Karel simply swayed to his side, letting him pass. He knew Aureus wasn't one to trust him so easily, and therefore would be in front of him so as to allow him a better advantage should he go nuts once again.

Once exiting the store, Chi took off to the left, where the entrance gleamed one level down, the glass paned ceiling illuminating their way. She weaved her wave past shoppers and oncoming security guards...Damnit, where were they all coming from?! As one rushed at her she ducked beneath his arms, sliding on the tiled flooring just as she reached the escalator, grabbing the handrail and using her momentum to leap over, rather than collide with, a man, woman and their child who were about to board and took off down the escalator, leaping onto the moving handrail and to the ground once the ground was close enough that she wouldn't kill herself in doing so, as there was another group of people blocking the way at the step off point.
Chocolate hues glanced up as she turned around, looking for Aureus and Karel. A set of arms grabbed her in a bear hug from behind and she cursed, elbowing him sharply between the ribs to make him let go, then quickly dispatching him. "Don't touch me, fucker." She looked back up again, where were they?!

After the guard missed Karel, Aureus ran right into him attempting a tackle. After taking a moment to flip him over his back, the teen sprinted to catch up with the others. "Hey! You need any help?" He asked Karel as he pushed people out of his way and jumped over a security guard with the help of a bench. Chi was already pretty far ahead of him, but seemed to be doing pretty well on her own.

Yes yes, he was cool and tough like that. Aside from his bloodied hands, there really was nothing else wrong with him aside from being tired and disorientated from his annoying mental struggling. See as how chi had done well on her own, he himself would need to take a short cut - and so running up towards the hand railing he took a dive off the higher level, rolling to safety as he reached the ground floor. Either Aureus had the acrobatic talent he himself possessed, or he would find another route... or simply take the same one as Chi's.

Luckily...Chi had worn her gloves today. Flexing her hands, she made a run for the door, that was beginning to be blocked by rent-a-cops. "You guys suck, get out of my way." She warned them in an almost bored tone, but they simply growled menacingly. Growled. Menacingly. What, where they animals now too? Sigh.
Clenching her fists, she sent a punch into the nearest rent-a-cop, the added strength from her gloves sending him flying back into the man behind him, and together, in their struggle to gain balance, tripped over the large metal trash bin by the entrance and fell through the glass door. Ouch, that had to hurt...At least they couldn't lock the doors on them now.
Chi glanced outside, then back to where the boys were, Karel having just tumbled down the level. ...Alright then. Where was Aureus? In all the fray, she couldn't see him. As she waited, she began throwing punches and kicks at the swarming security guys, making the way easier to get out...hopefully. The alarm had begun to go off in the mall now. It looks like they had officially made a scene...Luckily the shoppers were beginning to swarm out of the building as well, weakening the rent-a-cops forces as well.

Following Karel down to the bottom level, the Pillar spotted Chi fighting more guards. Running over, he went into a slide and tripped one of them. Rolling to the side, he narrowly missed being stomped on. After getting up, Aureus took advantage of the fallen trash bin and kicked it into a group of their attackers. A few more were running up from different directions, but now was their chance to get out of the mall.
How was that gonna work out, exactly? They could only run for so long, and things were really getting out of hand. Running out of the broken door, Aureus called over to Chi: "How're we getting out of here?"

Karel kept running - Chi within his sights as he leaped to a spot comfortably close to her before shoving her aside. If they wanted to escape, the best way was to make use of the swarming shoppers and use the panic as means to get away. The security guards weren't obligated to pursue them beyond the shop's premises... so with that said, hopefully she would of followed suit.

Chi looked up as a familiar voice called to her. Aureus, he had caught up. Just then someone crashed into her and she veered sideways a bit, noticing Karel. Wtf was that for?! Was her first thought, but in looking around, she finally noticed the panic of other shoppers. He was blending in. It seemed the best course of action to not get caught.
"The park!" She shouted back to Aureus, clearing the broken door and entering the parking lot. They needed to get free of this crowd, first. The Long Beach Park wasn't far from the mall, but far enough that they wouldn't be followed. Once she had enough elbow room, Chi took off at a run to the south side of the parking lot and to the street, turning right at the first light a following the block until her feet touched green. It was only then, finally out of sight of the mall and its nasty little do-goods, did she stop, resting her hands on her knees and coughing briefly. She would be fine, she was just a little winded and sore.

It was around that time that Aureus noticed that many of the shoppers had chosen the broken front door to run out. It made sense, as their cars were probably parked right outside. Regardless of their reasoning, it made it easier for them to get away. With Chi close behind, he ran towards the park. Hopefully there he would get an answer to his question.
"You alright?" he asked the dark haired girl, patting her on the back. I wonder if she's still pissed. Probably. Turning to Karel, a look of annoyance appeared on the Pillar's face. "Alright, time to explain."

He himself was only figuring it all out right now. This... thing had been old - before 552, probably even during that time! But it made sense... during his time at 552 it was as if his persona had been combined - The Hitman striking down opponents given to him on a list and... well, it was as if it had stalled what had been in his mind. It had all changed when he met Celeste... the changes, they were slight... but he himself had begun to settle down for his girlfriend's sake. She was... a rose in the middle of war and it was as if he had protected her... when he finally failed, he couldn't take it. He ran - like a coward and ended up on the other side of the damn country and during such time his personality had once again divided... but when had it occured first? Oh, so many years ago.
"The only exception is when I was... twelve years old, and of course now. Where shall I begin?"
He had followed them, and strength had returned to his body... the headache clearing as he had soothed his urges for a decent fight. So long as he wasn't around killer intent, it was easy...

"M'fine." Chi straightened back up as Karel joined them, and she leaned against the nearest tree and crossing her arms, her gaze set. All the memories...they bubbled in her mind like little spheres of pain, guilt, and anger. He had caused her so much pain, but then pretended like it never even happened. He had given her the memory disk from the camera (which she promptly destroyed) but he had given himself a copy. What was he playing at? Why did he act like he did? And why was he so mellow now, standing before her and her boyfriend like he belonged. Well he didn't.
She didn't say anything, though questions erupted in her mind. She would let him continue, let him explain why he was the way he was...she would settle for nothing but the whole and complete truth.
