As he was informed by Dime, Jericho had his presence requested by Drake, thus he provided it. Jericho walked in the room and sat straight as a board.
"You requested me, Prince?" Jericho began the conversation as he entered the room.

Drake rolled his eyes at the way he was addressed. He was NOT going to get used to that. He sighed.
"Yes, come in."
He would wait.
"First off, I would like to know who you are. Tell me your name, and a little about yourself."
Drake would also keep an eye on Jericho's soul. Reading it even as Jericho spoke.

On the last day I escaped his grasp by breaking my own bones and beating him. After years of torturing him I slit his knees and Achilles tendons and burned him alive inside our beach house. I then found my way to this part of the territory and joined the military ranks. And now I live in service to the king. Is that information satisfactory."

Oh shit. No wonder this guy was odd. There is NO WAY this man is mentally stable. His aura however was unusually calm... that was probably the most unnerving part. Although the loyalty he had to Rai, specifically, was a huge part of his being. That... is strange. Drake wondered about that...
"Tell me... why are you so unfailingly loyal to the King, my father?"

Jericho paused after the question. Then answered, "His rule is beneficial to my physical and mental state, and seeks justice. The longer and better I serve the kind, the longer I receive his beneficial rule."

Jericho wondered if the boy didn't hear him correctly, or misunderstood. "I am loyal because his rule is beneficial to my physical and mental state, and seeks justice. The longer and better I serve the king, the longer I receive his beneficial rule."

A different character would mean a different history, a different qi, a different personality, a different philosophy, and many more. Such differences would therefore change their structure of rule and would change history, and the very thing that brought me here in the first place. Your question bears in it assumptions that are invalid."
