Enjoy the Silence (Avice/Open)

[Avice Locke]

She grinned like a fox. "Ya guess? Makin' it sound like if I not be a gyre in Yar gadgets then ya 'ave no interest in a good customer as I." She teased with a chuckle. "True or not I be Avice Locke." She adjusted the babe in her arms and tucked the chunk of wood in a small coin purse to go in a deep pocket where she was holding it for the time being. "Maybe when we better understand what the wood and crystal is from I'll be back and be askin' ya to make some use of it aye?"

[Xapham]

"Customer, eh? Well, I've seen no coin to suggest that be true. But ever still, I will send word to you when I've recieved an answer back from the Archangels about those symbols. In the meantime, specifically somewhere not here, maybe try activating the power that lies dormant inside that wood. If it doesn't blow up and kill you and everyone nearby. It might just have some answers for you."

[Avice Locke]

"oi, now... I don't 'ave the luxury to fiddle 'round with unknown junk that would kill me or not ya know. That be why I came to ask Yar advice. I be waitin' to 'ear back from ya before I go tryin'anythin'." She nodded. "I can give ya a consultation fee if ya like?"

[Xapham]

Xapham waved his hand.

"No, you can pay me when we conclude our business. I don't make ridiculous requests like payment before services. Do what you will, I will call when I find out more."

[Avice Locke]

"Aye, will see ya then. Thanks for Yar help." She nodded in agreement and turn to the door.

[Xapham]

"Mmm."

He would grunt at her as she left.

A few days would pass when Xapham had sent word for Avice to return. When she arrived he would be smoking a cigarette while looking over a piece of paper.

[Avice Locke]

The door came open and she entered Derik strapped to her back. "Ello, I came as soon as ya called."

[Xapham]

"I heard hack from my father and uncles, and according to them, they recognize the designs from a cave they had been too over in Prota. The location of this cave are on this paper. More than that they didn't say."

He would say offering her the paper with the coordinates on it.

[Avice Locke]

She received the paper and looked where it would be. "Deep in Prota ye say..." she laid a heavy sigh. "Well maybe I'll be askin' another favor... eventually, that trinket makes me curious but I am in no hurry to go that direction without being properly prepared. But that is all? They didn't say anythin' about the cave or the origins of the runes?" She arched a brow and thought about how that would be unfortunate.

[Xapham]

Xapham shook his head.

"No they didn't, and know them, it's either because they barely remember it so it wasn't noteworthy, or they are staying silent on purpose, and there is no telling which is the case with out going and finding out."

[Avice Locke]

"Well they are not 'ere to stoppin' me so I doubt it is the third, that is unless they want to watch me suffer..." she grunted. "Suppose it might not be what I think it is if they are shrugging it off instead." She was almost relieved but not deterred.

[Xapham]

Xapham grunted out a chuckle.

"You have a serious distrust of Angels it seems, or is it that you don't like any higher power? Either way, if they are choosing to stay silent it isn't to watch you or anyone else suffer, rather it would be because whatever lies in that cave is a knowledge that is only beholden to those who have witnessed it, and thus shouldn't be shared carelessly. If it were too dangerous and not worth the risk they would have said so, I assure you."

[Avice Locke]

"It's a general mistrust, mate... come to expect the worst of some lots that look down on a poor sow like meself. 'Igher powers or not are all included aye." she nodded.

[Xapham]

Xapham shrugged.

"Suit yourself. All I have to say to you on that subject is this. Life is too short to spend it on mistrusting everyone. One day you'll lose someone close to you. And you will be forced to ask yourself if it could have been avoided if only you weren't the way that you inherently are."

He would put out his cigarette and go back to work.

"Don't worry about payment. If you have no further business with me then feel free to leave. I don't feel the need to share unnecessary pleasantries."

[Avice Locke]

"Aye... Ya might be right." She took his words as a note and nodded to his statement. "Aye that be all, I thank ya for yar 'elp." She would leave once again with paper and the coordinates in her pocket to keep for a future date.
