"I have question for you, miss Locke. What is your reason for living? For fighting? What gives you reason to get up in the morning and fight to stay alive?"

She arched a brow at him. "Honestly... be given any excuse to dance, eat something incredible, and enjoy the company I end up with... I get up because I am alive, and I live it. Lately that all includes with this boy I carry, we dance, we eat, and we live happily." she nodded a slight smile twitched her lips breaking her serious face for but a moment. Absolutely certain to herself that is what drove every step through deserts, storms, and through sole-less shoes.

What do you think would happen to this territory if he was king when that happened? If he woke up and decided he had no reason to care about living. I can tell you right now, that if he was on this throne it would because he took because he could, and not because he wanted to, just as he did that day we fought. It would lead to not only his downfall but to the destruction of this territory and all who live here, and I for one am not ok with letting that future come to pass. Now, it is possible that he might have found a reason to live in the future... but I for don't like taking risks. That is what I did when I was younger, and I am lucky to be alive today. So, I made the choice to sacrifice my relationship with him to make him find a reason to live. That reason is to hate me and to grow to become strong enough to defeat me. I have given him purpose. And as a father there is nothing greater that I could have given to my son."

"You seem to not understand what it takes to beat me, he made the same mistake. I taught him just how strong I really am, and I only showed him a fraction of what I can do. In his pursuit to gain the strength he needs to beat me he will be forced to seek out allies, to form bonds. These bonds in turn will sprout and grow becoming other reasons to live. And with the plans I have for him, he will learn leadership and growth. You seem to think too lowly of me and my methods. But I assure, the method I use is already working, as he is going about and forming those bonds, and he started the day after I hospitalized him. You may not like my methods, and you may not understand them, but that does not change the fact that they are already working."

Tis sneaky and ridiculous, and it'll bite ya in the arse I say. but more so tis unfair to 'im. No matter yar choices and 'ow ya believe they turn out... it's unfair to 'im." Drake is fortunate to know of a Father and yet Raikotsu is taking that away from his son as well as himself,

"I might point out, Avice, that I do not presume to tell you how raise your child. So I would ask you to not presume how I should raise mine. Don't forget. I met my son after years of his mother poisoning his mind. I can not guarantee either my nor his time, and I would not waste it trying to bond with the boy when that is not what he wants, and he has made that clear. I respect his wishes while simultaneously teaching him the lessons I feel he will need for the world we live in."

She looked at him. Even if he was pretending with one of them she could not sense a lie in his words for her. "'Ow does it make ya feel 'avin' to do this to 'im?" She wanted to know sincerely. How did he feel having to sacrifice that relationship, having to hurt his boy like so.

"I might take you up on that one of these days. But as for now I should make the necessary arrangements for your trip. You will meet with Xapham in about an hour at the east garage. There you may acquire a vehicle for use. Kuron is informing Xapham as we speak."

"Well, being a part of Prota has it's privileges one being acess to vehicles. They make missions easier. Well, I won't keep you. I'll have Kuron send over a babysitter to your place before you leave. Good luck on your adventure. And, if you are able to find anything of interest or importance by all means do not hesitate to bring it here so that I may use it to benefit our territory as a whole."
