Drake just shrugged. No matter to him. She asked he answered.
"Well, what is this place? And what makes this flower so special?"

She shook her head like she couldn't believe she was even explaining this.
"The Bastian is our home and the last light in the darkness. It's the final holdout of humanity against the Blighted. And the Blight Bloom is medicinal and is vital to treating the Blight."
The area began to grow darker, and the first wisps of fog were starting to materialize. Thin tendrils of glowing green illuminating the darkness. He could see a large gate and watchtowers not too far off, torches pushing back the darkness.
"So if you are from all of these fantastical sounding places how did you end up here? Something must have lead to you nearly drowning in the bog."

He listened to her and took it with a definite, 'Uh... huh... suuuure...' attitude. THEN she had the audacity to call HIS home delusional, the nerve of crazies! However, as the fog began to roll he began to wonder.
"Well, I was in bed sleeping when I woke up to a call of power, it was... intense and yearning. When I reached its location I came across some sort of Guardian, a creature made of worms. I fought it, which is how I lost my arm, I cut it off as he had infected my arm with maggots. As the fight continued I used a powerful ability and killed it... but then... I ex- well, I think I died, and as I was dying I saw some kind of... I guess a god, his aura was bright and powerful, it was the most powerful thing I've ever seen or felt. The next thing I remember is falling... for what seemed like an eternity... next thing I know I'm drowning in the bog, and I feel weak. Like... REALLY weak. As if i have less than a fraction of my strength."
He would say before falling silent to contemplate if he was dead and if this was hell...

She continued in silence, looking down at the ground as she continued to lead him to the Bastion.

The mood had grown dark... it was probably his fault. Sigh...
"So... are we there yet?"
Best question to break the tension.

"Just about."
They would make it into the gates as the fog began to thicken. The light from the fires seemed to keep the fog away. But as they crossed the thresh hold he'd see guards running to bring up the gates.
"That's the last of them!"
They would be confronted by one of the guards as well.
"Cutting it close. You were supposed to be back twenty minutes ago. Who is this?"
He motioned to Drake gruffly.
"I don't know. I found him half-dead in the Bog. But he's a person and I couldn't leave him out there to die. And he would die out there, he needs a doctor."

Drake would wave as the girl introduced him.
"Yo."
Then she mentioned doctor, and he once again looked at his poor stub...
"Yeah, that... doesn't look healthy."

The guard frowned at the stub.
"You got a name Boyo?"

"Names Drake, Drake Sudeki. And you are?"
Did... did he just call me boyo? Am I really in hell?!

"Captain Reginold Myers The Sixth, and it is my duty to see that everyone here remains safe. Tasked with safeguarding the remains of humanity, and now it appears. That includes you."
He nodded to Melody.
"See that he is given what medical care he needs. I will have someone follow up with him once he has had a chance to recover and see what he can do."
Melody nodded quickly, clutching on to Drake's arm tighter.
"Yes Sir. Thank you."
She'd start dragging him away toward a nearby building.
"How long ago did you lose your arm? If it's not to much to ask."

Drake thought long and hard about that answer.
"Well, honestly... I don't know. It could've been anywhere between a few hours ago, to a few lifetimes ago, remember I mentioned falling? Yeah, I'm not exactly sure how long I was falling for..."
He answered truthfully. On a side note, the fuck kind of name is Reginold?!

"A few lifetimes ago?" That didn't seem possible. She was looking at him pretty skeptically. But she'd lead him inside of the building which was obviously a clinic being tended to by a man who perked up at seeing Melody. "You made it back safely! Thank the Dawn. Who is this?" He asked, his attention shifting to Drake who was being led to a bed. "I don't know. I found him outside in the Bog. He says his name is Drake, but he doesn't seem to know where he came from or how he got here. He might be suffering from delirium." "I see." He'd turn to Drake. "Drake, I'm Doctor Concord. Is it okay if I run a few tests on you? Nothing too dramatic to start. Temperature, blood pressure, and basic vitals."

"I'll see you at home sweety. We should have leftovers still."
He'd say dismissing Melody with a cheerful tone as he'd strap Drake's arm with a contraption and put another one in his ear.
"So, you can't remember where you are from? Is that right? What is the last thing you remember clearly?"

Drake rolled his eyes.
"My memory is fine, that girl, Melody, just didn't seem to think I was telling her the truth. I'm from territory 235, The Crimson Kingdom. I was in bed, woke up to something powerful pulling at me, I followed it found a monster, fought it, lost my arm. Killed, and I think I died, or came close to death. Met some kind of powerful being. Then I remembered falling for what felt like forever, and then next thing I remember I'm nearly drowning in the bog, I swim to shore, Melody found me, brought me here. And that's about sums it all up. So, doc, do you think I'm lying as well? Cause I gotta be honest with you here. If I WAS lying, I would come up with something a lot more realistic. Truth be told if I were in your shoes and you just told me all this I'd call you crazy. But I just experienced it so... yeah."
He would say rather bluntly. And hoping he wouldn't have to tell someone a third time. He needed to work on a short version...
