[Sage Sudeki]

Spike's eyes would shift to Drake.

"I can't answer that for you... What do your eyes say?"

He would look back at the road as they entered Lightning Country.

[Drake]

Drake shrugged.

"My eyes aren't to be trusted. All 3 dragons had very different auras, all very powerful, and all had difficult to read moralities... my fathers was more twisted, but most of that seemed... well, to clash with his true nature? Mathew's despite being brilliant, was rather... neutral. He isn't a bad guy... but he also isn't a good guy, I think? And Leon's, mostly looked as you said. Lots of pain, concern, and full of old wounds that never healed. Out of the three his was the most calculated, but also seemed the most confusing. I couldn't even tell you if he is sane..."

He'd loon at Spike.

"You seem alright though. But it did look like you were about to cut my head off like an hour ago."

[Sage Sudeki]

Spike would nod at the explanation, seemed the moralities were about what he would of guessed. However...

"I was."

He said flatly.

"But I was also ready to defend you from Mathew if need be. I owe him for a lot that happened during the war, and old politics die hard when that's how you grow up, so if he had said to kill you, I probably would have. However, if he tried to kill you I would of tried to stop him, because at the end of the day it's my fault for following orders as blindly as I did to bring you into this mess."

They would roll through Lightning Country rather easily parking outside of the Lightning Tower where someone would open the door for them holding umbrellas to keep them out of the rain. The weather doesn't really improve much in this territory. Spike wouldn't get out just yet, he'd look at Drake.

"Because that's who I am."

[Drake]

Drake stared at the other man for a moment before smiling and nodding.

"Fair, fucking, enough. So, what's this mission you were talking about before?"

He would ask as he opened the door and got out.

[Sage Sudeki]

Spike would get out, the guys in suits moving to hold umbrellas over them as they walked.

"Well, it's some form of joint mission between our families to have our Seikatsugan users get used to each other. We'll meet up with your family head first though."

Spike would wave a hand and a guy would hold a cigarette up to Spike's mouth while another one pulled out a lighter for him to light it on. He'd lead the way inside where the attendants would break way. He'd show Drake to the part of the tower where the Thane family resides.

"Besides you and me, there is one other guy. A normie who was implanted with a Seikatsugan during the war. He is a master swordsman and a scary fighter without it. I'd hate to see him with two of our eyes. The only weakness he has is he is a normie. He doesn't have the supply of Qi energy that we do. So he has to watch his stamina."

Spike would explain before knocking on the door with the label "Thane Family".

"Come in."

A voice would ring out as Spike opened the door and they entered. Sitting in a basically open room in a nice chair was Bastion Thane, the Head of the Thane Family.

"Bastion, let me introduce Drake Sudeki, your new recruit with a Seikatsugan."

Thane would smile.

"Pleasure Drake of the Life Eye. I am Bastion Thane, you can call me by either name, or just sir if you are so inclined."

[Drake]

Drake would listen intently as he followed. This all was a completely different experience from the last time he had been here... last time it was fun and parties but this... was eerily formal, but... not in a traditional sense. It was enough to make Drake feel like he needed to be on high alert. Then he met Bastion Thane. The soul on this man was something Drake had never seen before. And it was... well Drake knew this guy was not to be fucked with! Drake stood straight and then bowed.

"Uhm. What do you mean when you said, 'of the Life eye'? Sir."

He asked curious, that was not a term he he had heard before...

[Sage Sudeki]

Bastion would raise a brow.

"Seikatsugan. Seikatsu means Life. Adding Gan to the end of it means Life Eye, the eyes of life, able to see life's energy in the world. A good omen... Or a curse."

He shrugs at his own explanation to it. Spike nods in affirmation, then stares at Drake to see his reaction.

[Drake]

Drake blinked surprised.

"No shit."

He looked between the two.

"So... if our eyes are, 'The Life Eyes' as you say, why do mine revolve around seeing and manipulating souls?"

[Sage Sudeki]

Bastion would lean back in his chair.

"You really should read a book."

He would say before Spike would speak up.

"You can still see the life aura of the person you are looking at, beyond the souls. You simply have a stronger than standard power, able to see more. I'm able to see the trail of life energy left behind by anyone within the last twenty four hours. Chris however, can only see life energy."

[Drake]

Drake would nod.

"Fair enough."

Ge would turn to Bastion.

"So, I hear tattoos are a pretty big thing, and that's how I came to be a part of your family... uhm, unfortunately, do to an incident, I had to cut off my arm, and thus my tattoos. Is this going to be an issue?"

[Sage Sudeki]

"Important, but not detrimental. We can discuss a new tattoo later. For now there are some street hoodlums in our district who are playing at being mafia. They have recruited some Qi user muscle and are starting to shake people down for money. Citizens reported them to us and this and we have decided to send the three Seikatsugan users in the organization to put the fear of the Lightning Dragon into them so they think twice about pulling something as dumb as that ever again."

He would explain.

"Drake of the Life Eye, you are given command of this mission since you are the only one from my family who will be going, this will be a test of your judgement skills. The only requirement is a finger from the 'officers' of these little street gangsters."

[Drake]

Drake nodded.

"Understood. Where will we meet our third man?"

Drake asked.

[Sage Sudeki]

"He's been watching us, he is probably already waiting outside."

Spike points a finger to the ceiling, should Drake look there would be a floating black eye ball with a gold iris peering at them. Bastion would wave a bit at the eye before it vanished and Spike walked to the door to hold it open for Drake. If they went down to the lobby, Chris was sitting and waiting patiently.

"Drake this is the Sudeki Family Lieutenant, Chris Gunn."

Spike would introduce him. He would stand and give a bow before standing upright again.

"I may be a higher rank than you, but you do have final say for this mission. It's a pleasure to meet you."

Should Drake look at Chris soul he would note that it embodied the color gray, and his aura seeped off him like a calm fog.

[Drake]

Drake returned the bow.

"Pleasure is mine. I'll be honest. Last time I took the lead on something... well, bad things happened. So, hopefully this isn't a continuous trend."

He would say attempting to joke.

"Alright. Are you two ready to go now, or is there a time of day and location where this group is most active?"

[Sage Sudeki]

Chris would nod.

"They have been tracked and watched to their little hideout. We can go straight there, or we can set up a fake buy for whatever products they are selling and catch them there. Your call."

Spike would take one of his sword belts off, his yakuza katana and hand it to Drake.

"You can use one of my swords for the mission."
