Let alone the insults in the court aimed at Val to Lord Blackburn.

[Valerian Blackburn]

WHAT DID HE SAY!?

"Where did he get his wealth from?"

Because who has a problem with medicine, honestly.

[Zack Asiv]

"His mining and energy operations are the primary source of their income. They generate quite a bit of the worlds ore and crystals and in turn produce a lot of Zekunfts energy to power our technology."

The ride was a little bumpy. Cabal roads not being in the best condition.

[Valerian Blackburn]

"Then wha-at's their problem with us?"

Val's voice hitches from the bumps.

[Zack Asiv]

"Standing wise, we rank above them and people would purchase our medical crystals over his raw and uncut crystals."

He would reply rather simply, though there was more to it considering Lord Blackburn and Lord Markward almost never see eye to eye in court disputes.

[Valerian Blackburn]

"Is that it?"

Val frowns. He could tell when his dad was hiding something.

[Zack Asiv]

"Lord Markward had less than good opinions of you and made them rather vocally apparent at a gathering of noble lords, so I may have proven that one of his children was actually a bastard and left his family without an heir."

Cause no one fucks with the Blackburn family, even if they are right.

[Valerian Blackburn]

"What did I ever do to the guy!?"

Like, come on.

"But I'm proud of you, dad. Thank you."

He smiles happily!

[Zack Asiv]

Lord Black burn would turn to look out the window.

"Hmph. It's my duty as a lord."

There is a slight pink tinge to his cheeks as he obviously doesn't know how to take the compliment.

[Valerian Blackburn]

"And a dad."

Val smirks.

But... it starts to fall, as he thinks about his mother.

"...we will find her, right?"

[Zack Asiv]

"Of course."

He says with absolute confidence, trying to ignore Valerian's other compliment.

[Valerian Blackburn]

"...okay."

He nods. Val gives a long, slow sigh, as if steeling himself for something.

"...I'll get stronger, then."

[Zack Asiv]

Soon they arrived at the embassy and the entire group would exit the building. The embassy was a rather large domed building, multiple floors and rooms with hallways circling and bisecting it, the group would move through after a small check in process and into a room specially for Zekunft. Val would notice multiple Royal Family Royal Guards in their stark white uniforms standing around or patrolling the Zekunft halls.

He would also notice the Versyl and Shadowstar Royal Guards as well, meaning they were likely here too. They were finally announced into a room, inside they would find the young Lord Eryn Versyl; a young forward thinking Noble who was given control of his families lands and titles when his father passed away from a particularly bad infection which caused irreversible lung damage.

Lord Versyl would turn to them and bow deeply.

"Lord Blackburn, Young Lord Valerian; The Versyl family stands ready to aid you in any reconstruction efforts you need."

Lord Blackburn would return the bow with a small nod.

"Your help will be invaluable, I'm sure."

[Valerian Blackburn]

Valerian is pretty surprised at the size of the embassy, but also at the sight of so many Royal Guards who weren't of his own house.

Even with the circumstances, Val does glance a little more at the Shadowstar Guard more than the Versyl one, and once the Lord bows, Valerian bows deeply in return.

"Thank you, Lord Versyl. It's good to see we have friends in times like these."

He knows enough of the social game to play it decently.

Before the Lord could respond the door would open and two more lords would be announced.

"Lord Shadowstar and his son Young Lord Phillip have arrived."

Lord Blackburn would turn to greet them and Lord Versyl would smile wide and wave at Phillip, who rolled his eyes, but waved back with a flick of the wrist.

"Lord Shadowstar, what brings you here?"

Lord Blackburn asks though respectful enough.

"Enough with that Lord Shadowstar business Marcus, this is an emergency of the highest. We will not rest until something is figured out."

Lord Shadowstar responded.

"Besides, his highness, Lord Kaizer requested our presence for the proceedings."

The young Shadowstar noble would also say.

"I appreciate it, Corvus."
