It's not long before a Cabal jeep arrives and the Lord Blackburn steps out along with two of the Blackburn Royal Guards in tow. Ray would lead Val to the group waiting at the entrance to the Academy. |

Valerian basically runs straight to the group.
"Father!"
He looks at the jeep for a second, then his eyes widen.
"...where's mother?!"

Lord Blackburn begins his eyes either closed or very downcast as he folded his arms.
"Blackwater has fallen, destroyed by the experiment army that attacked it with some sort of crystal weapon. Your mother is missing from the explosion and this is the entirety of our royal guard and remaining fortune."
He would let that sink in and allow Val time to respond if he needed to before proceed with the rest of the bad news.

Val's hands clench into fists, and his eyes actually start to tear up. His people. His home.
His mother.
"Everyone is gone... and mother...is missing? Where was she? Weren't you with her?"
He doesn't really mean that.

Lord Blackburn stares at Val, but remains silent. Finally he would speak.
"I was battling back against the experiments while the royal guards and your mother defended the manse and our people. However, moving forward things are going to be heavily different moving forward. For now we have to leave here. I'll have Ray gather your things I need you to get in the jeep."

His father would say getting in after him. Ray would have left to go and gather Val's things. The jeep would start up and start moving.
"Val... I know things are going in every direction right now. You're confused and the emotions must be over whelming... You have to suppress them for now. We will need to stand united no matter what."
His right fist would clench audibly stretching the fabric of his gloves as energy sparked off his form.
"And when it's time our vengeance will reign over our enemies in an endless torrent of destruction."

Val slowly turns to face his father in the jeep. He'd... seen this before, even though it was very rarely this up close.
"Father. I'm not... like you. I don't get angry like you."
He shakes his head.
"I don't know if I can make them pay. I'm not as strong as you are."
He's never really been driven to do anything his whole life, but the fact that his emotions are all over the place inside right now isn't helping.

"That is part of the hardships to come. We will have many challenges ahead of us thanks to our losses, and you will need to become powerful without breaking Zekunft laws."
He would let that sink in.
"Our political enemies will be taking this opportunity to knock us down even further, we have to harden our hearts to hold them at bay."
