The Best Worst Opening Ever (Open)

[Simon Salabim]

Simon makes a face.

“I don’t recall mentioning what I specialize in.”

[Rowan]

"Perhaps we should just go within the building, then."

It seemed people weren't being understood, so, moving on might be best.

"I think we're all trying to find someone specific...but ours can wait. Let's go see if we can find the instructor you wanted. Do you have their name?"

[Gene Sarda]

“I apologize for the miscommunication, I only meant that you’re correct, I do not know what you specialize in! Please feel free to ignore me, I’m running on very very few hours of sleep. The man I’m looking for.. his name is Krane. Someone in town told me he’s in charge. I was told that he would take me to someone, I don’t know who. But apparently he’ll know what to do.”

Glancing at Simon, she felt slightly uneasy. Finally making friends and then being stupid and not paying attention.

“Who are y’all looking for?”

[Simon Salabim]

"It's whatever."

Simon waves it off.

"We're looking for our brother, at some point, but we should also find someone to kinda check in. This Krane guy sounds like a good one for it."

[Rowan]

"Agreed. If he's in charge then it seems like he's the one we should all be going to, at the moment."

He'd glance over to the path leading to the front doors, then back at Gene.

"Do you have the strength to walk? Or would you like further assistance?"

It was no bother to him.

[Gene Sarda]

"Oh, haha yeah I'm sure I'll be fine, thank you!" Gene laughed. She'd endured much worse on her journey. Though now that the end destination was close, her body was screaming for rest. 

Soon, soon we'll rest. And eat. And bathe. 

She'd done all on the trip, but not been able to relax and take her time.

"Let's just start walking around. Maybe if we look lost enough, someone will help us"

[Zack Asiv]

The group would come across someone! He was walking the opposite direction as them, however when he spotted the group he stopped in front of them.

"Are you lot Mage reinforcements from Ayatlan?"

[Simon Salabim]

Simon shrugs, but gives Rowan a small... knowing smile.

As if he sees something there.

However, as they walk, he glances at the other person who'd stopped to talk.

"Two of us are, at least."

He gestures with his head towards Rowan.

"Me and him. Gene's from somewhere else, if you want to help her too."

[Rowan]

Rowan would nod to confirm what his brother said.

"She is searching for Mr. Krane."

[Gene Sarda]

Gene saw the man approach and gave him a warm grin.

“Hello! My name is Gene. I was told that a Mister Krane, because he could guide me to whoever I needed to speak to about finding a teacher. I’m sorry to inconvenience you, but would you know where to find him?” Inquired Gene, eager to get settled in so she could sleep for a week straight.

She didn’t bother to pretend that she hadn't seen the look that the brothers shared, but didn’t bother asking about it. If they felt the need to include her, they would. That’s what you do right? Give friends space? She didn’t know, but that’s what her gut told her.

[Zack Asiv]

The guy looks to each.

"Very well. Command Captain Krane Asiv is in a meeting at the moment. For now let's get you all situated. If you wish to stick with us until the meeting is over... Gene, I will take you to him."

He would wait for a response before looking at the other two.

"We will get you to the barracks where you will pick which team you will join. Red or Blue team. From there you will decide which classes you wish to take. This is a military school so you will be assigned the rank of Trainee until you graduate. What are your names?"

[Simon Salabim]

"We will pick Blue team."

Simon answers for them both.

"I'm Simon Salabim."

[Rowan]

Blue team it was!

"Rowan Salabim. Pleasure to meet you." he'd say, giving a gentle and courteous bow.

"And thank you for your assistance."

[Gene Sarda]

"Oh thank you so much!" Gene chimed in. "I'm very eager to meet him. Is there somewhere I should wait to keep out of the way? The last thing I want is to bother Captain Krane before I even meet him."

Gene continued smiling at the three men, excited to meet whoever she needed to and get settled in.

[Zack Asiv]

"I am Veteran rank Eric Cunningham. I am not an instructor here, I'm Cabal regular military. I outrank you at this point, but keep your head on your shoulders and learn a few lessons and you will do just fine. Now, there are a few classes you can sign up for. Hand-to-hand combat, weapons training, qi studies, and research and development. You can sign up for all of them or only what you are interested in."

Eric would begin walking leading the way to the barracks before turning and looking at Gene.

"Just stick close."

He'd look forward and speak to all three of them.

"Any questions so far?"
