The Best Worst Opening Ever (Open)

[Simon Salabim]

Simon looks at Rowan again, and nods.

"Alright, c'mon Rowan."

He glances at Gene.

"You too. We'll figure it all out."

He follows along after Eric, listening at the entire explanation.

"Seems straightforward. I'm assuming your classes overlap?"

Since... his magic kind of overlapped with at least two of those classes.

[Rowan]

Rowan would nod back, following along.

He'd take note of where they were going, as well as considering if he wished to try a hand-to-hand class just in case such a situation arose, or if he'd just be setting himself up for a class he couldn't quite keep up in.

"Are there programs offered other than the four classes?"

[Gene Sarda]

Gene nodded at the man, and followed along behind Rowan and Simon. She would stay back and give them space to make sure they could all hear each other, feeling like their conversation was more important than hers right now.

I'll just follow so I don't get lost, and let them discuss classes that they need. Sighing to herself, Gene hurried her steps to keep up with the three men. Just don't interrupt, don't be disrespectful, don't follow too close and be weird. 

[Zack Asiv]

Eric would nod.

"Yes, some of them overlap to give versatility to the training you receive here. There are other things offered depending on what you may or may not specialize in. But those are the starting classes. The instructors are Commander ranked individuals, they will be able to spot your abilities and offer you those other programs."

They would arrive in front of the two barracks, pretty much right next to each other, obvious as to which building was which with the colored flags out front.

"Download in an empty bunk or room. Keep nudity to an absolute minimum when you leave your rooms. In the trunks in the rooms you should be able to find a Trainee's PT, attune to it, and you can sign up for your classes with them..."

He would look at Gene.

"And for you... You need Command Captain Asiv for someone who specializes in plants, is that your ability?"

"Nudity?"

Of all things, that's what sticks out to him.

[Rowan]

Rowan covers his face with his hand, trying to hide the embarrassment of both being warned about nudity, and his brother pulling focus to it.

[Gene Sarda]

Genes cheeks warmed as Eric mentioned nudity, and of course that's what Simon focused in on.

Embarrassed, Gene tried to cool the warm pink and replied with, "Uh-yes sir, I specialize in plants and horticulture. Making plants grow from nothing, making them grow abnormally tall or short, bending pre-existing plants should I need, using vines to create structures, everything like that."

Pausing to look at the floor, Gene took a steading breath. "Though uh, I am more interested in using them to make medicine and teas. I wish to follow in my mother's footsteps as a healer of some sort...If that's okay.." Gene's timid eyes stared at Eric, hoping she wasn't too specific or too vague. In all her travels she hadn't met anyone with anything to teach her. The nerves had become fears, and over her journey the fears began taking shape in reality. 

[Zack Asiv]

Eric would glance momentarily at Simon without changing expression or missing a beat.

"Yes."

His question was more in shock than anything else, but Eric wanted to nail the point home.

"We have a person who uses wood based Qi that might be able to help you too. If that interests you."

[Simon Salabim]

"What a strange place."

Simon admits, shaking his head.

Though he's interested in hearing about the different teachers, regardless.

[Rowan]

"Does that intrigue you?" Rowan would ask his brother since he didn't want to interrupt the others.

[Gene Sarda]

Gene did not bother paying attention to the brothers conversation. It didn’t include her, after all.

“Oh, wood based Qi? that’s actually really interesting. It’s not exactly... what I’m looking for though. If that’s my only option I’d love to speak to them... but if there’s an option I’d prefer something more towards plants and making medicine.” Gene said, looking at her feet. She felt bad being picky, these people are going out of their way to help her.

But..... medicine is the top priority. She wanted to be a healer, and wanted to know all about medicine and the plants to make them.

[Zack Asiv]

Eric would ponder.

"Then this school and Krane can not help you. President Asiv would be your best bet."

He would then look at the other two.

"There are four primary instructors here. Adrian Sigismund is a Commander rank Research and Development specialist. His inventions are utilized by the entirety of Cabals military and specialized units in the field. Shino Yuy is the hand-to-hand expert. I have never seen him defeated in a physical fight and his father was a hero during the war. Samantha Tollins is the Qi instructor, her age may surprise you, but she is the foremost expert in Qi and theory known to Cabal. Finally Victor Kaar is the weapons specialist. His techniques have been used, adapted, and practiced by anyone in our military using a weapon. Quite often battle mages from Ayatlan even drop in to learn."

He was sure Gene had more questions, but he would address them before asked.

"I will take you to President Asiv when we are done here."

[Simon Salabim]

“It does, Rowan. Anything strange is pretty interesting.”

Simon admits with a shrug.

“Is it possible to start a lesson with Mr. Kaar immediately?”

[Rowan]

Rowan wasn't surprised that Simon was quick to want to start. The answer to that might answer how quickly he could get started with his own classes of interest so he'd see what was said about it.

As for Gene, he'd give her an sympathetic smile.

"Ah. I'm sorry you won't find answers at the Academy after-all. I hope you find your way to the President safely."

He assumed she wouldn't be staying if she couldn't get what she was looking for here.

Gene nodded at Eric to show that she understood, holding herself high and confidently. Though inside was a much different story.

(The following conversation is Gene speaking with herself in her head)

HE'S TAKING ME TO MEET THE PRESIDENT? ARE YOU KIDDING? I WAS PREPARED TO MEET A PROFESSOR, NOT SOMEONE IMPORTANT AND AHHHHHHHAHAAHHAHHAHAHHHHHHHHH

Gene! Calm yourself! Yes he's important but he's just a normal man! Right? Is he? Is he a nice man or a secretly evil power obsessed man?

He can't be power obsessed, his territory is peaceful! Unless there's some secrets not released to the public and he's secretly killing people and kidnapping children.

Smiling in response to Rowan, she welcomed the understanding he seemed to show her.

"Thank you! I am sad that I won't be enrolling in classes here though, I planned for a dorm room to take care of my housing situation. Well, I'm sure there's a job around here I could apprentice in. Maybe I can find a more permanent place to stay," Gene replied.
