As we have the freedom of age already we mite as well change the post count rankings.
Instead of adjusting post count, we can just change the rankings so you can always be whatever age you want. As long as you remain in either high school or college or your a teacher tyhen this doesn't apply to you.
Aureus suggested this long ago and it was shot down, now we will see how it fairs.
Nothing will be changed except the post rankings name. Everything about your character will remain the same even the 10 experience you gain from getting a post rank up. Stat caps, the whole deal.

I can't seem to find it, but if I recall right you go up a grade about every 300 or so posts.
Someone needs to re-type/re-find that stuff too...

Rank System Members may choose to rank up at their own discretion OR may follow the old system that is as follows: 0-300 posts - Freshmen 300-600 posts - Sophomore 600-900 posts - Junior 900-1300 posts - Senior 1300-1600 posts - College Fresh 1600-1900 posts - College Soph 1900-2200 posts - College Junior 2200 - 2600 posts - College Senior 2600-... - Graduate The post ranks will be changed back to reflect your grade. If you're one of the few who elects to progress at your own pace, ask a staff member to change your post count. A second custom title has been added that reflects your time as an active member. The rank progression for that is as follows: 1 month - Newbie 2 months - Regular 3 months - Member 6 months - Respected Member 1 Year - Wise Guy 2 Years - Oldbie EDIT: Gotta go soon, so I'll edit the post ranks later, or another staff member may. As always, comments are appreciated. Thats the information from the change log. Anyways as for my opinion I am for the change because personally I am almost ready to graduate by post count but I don't really want to have my character in college. Lets face it when that happens the character is pretty much done. It is rare for a college kid to stay active on a board that revolves around the high school. Really the only change this would do is make it so that you can go through the grades at your own pace. If you want you could be a freshmen with a stat cap of 90 if you chose to be a freshman. In my personal opinion there is no reason not to do this since it doesn't hurt anyone in the slightest and can only help those that want to stay at the grade they are at without having to get their post count lowered and thus keep them in a stasis on stat caps.

I don't understand. Does that mean you'd still get stats for simply changing your rank? Or keep your stat the same, if you choose to stay? Someone clarify please? I'm f*cking confused.

Basically instead of freshman it would be say nobody, and instead of senior it might say tough guy. Each time you raise up in ranks you would STILL get the 10 exp just like you do now. The only thing that would change are the rank names. This way you don't have to age when you go up a new post rank. Does that make sense?

Yes, it does. Thanks.
I think we should change the rank names. It's confusing.

Lmao
My bad.
I thought this was already implemented. The only reason I was following the 300 rule was because it would help smooth the process of Mitsuki's character development rather than jumping from one thing to another.
D:
Anyway, I'm for it. :)

- Shrug. - I'll still probably follow the whole age thing for a while until Junior or Senior. Its a good idea though, makes it so there is less focus on age and more focus on RP.
