Name: Ceres Campbell.
Age: 26.
Nationality: German.
Teacher Class: Mathematics, Psychology.
Height: 6'3 Feet.
Weight: 152 Lbs.
Personality: Ceres will by first impressions always be perceived as calm, collected and laid-back by anyone. However he has 3 layers of his personalities that are: The surface, what you first can see. Here you will witness the calm and melancholy man as he acts around anyone. The second level shows more emotion, on this level there are emotions and personality traits that never really surface. His understanding and developed empathy. In other terms, a philosophical and interested individual that partakes in socializing activities. The third level is one even Ceres isn't sure of, as it hides all of his persona's developed throughout his life. It is highly personal, and revolves every negative and positive thought that loops through his mind. Seeing as it is the most inner level, there resides more negativity. It is also the sources of his cynicism, his way of behavior. The third level harbors the traits and attitude he has so verily developed to his present self.
Ceres usually shows calmness and consideration to any situation, which gives him out as quite the strategist. This demeanor also gives him an advantage in integrity and enhances his authority, which could make some people see him as intimidating. When under pressure, Ceres is finally shown to put effort into his stamina. This is when he is witnessed at his best, as his capabilities surface for all to see. But if under physical pressure, there is a limited time he can keep going until his asthma condition chains him down. With time he has come to respect his limits however, he doesn't want to understand them. He show signs of persistence as his habit of cursing his asthma occasionally never seem to cease. All in all Ceres is a fairly independent individual, showing little interest to the norm of society. But as a teacher, he takes pride in his teaching and his students.
History:
--.: Prologue --.
In the beginning of a new year, the very start of a new generation, was the child by the name of Ceres given life into our world. To be born on the 1st of January, with golden hair and golden eyes, was enough to drive followers of Christianity to believe their savior had been reborn. But this child was not special like they believed, for it was just like any other child. On another note, this child came into the world as the sun rose in the horizon. Let every blessing be upon this child, for even the maker himself has decided to grant this child with the fortune of such beauty. The parents rejoiced, and the relatives were proud to have such a revered young child among them. But despite this, much pressure and expectations were cast upon the bright golden child without hesitation. For it should become great and magnificent like a hero.
Like a hero...
This child was not the first, for it had an older brother. This older brother had already reached 6 years of age by the time Ceres was born. His hair was also golden, yet his eyes were brown. His hair was about shoulder length, and partially put in a pony-tail regularly, little did this brother know that he would come to befall terrible things upon his own baby brother. For now, and yet another 7 years to pass, this family would be one of the happiest in regards to their beautiful children. Though these 7 years did indeed have its difficulties, it was surely not something as simple as changing diapers.
Ceres went to kindergarten, he went through his first days of school. The child went through what every child goes through normally, except for some slight abnormal details. His father preferred to come home drunk at times, in which case he wouldn't be so gentle. But who was there to stand up for him when their father and mother had a few loud "discussions?" His older brother, he looked after his baby brother and made sure he was healthy and in one piece. For now, at least. As these 7 years of growing up and growing ever so close to his older brother drew to a close, Ceres' life began to turn ever so interesting. It is from this point on that the story of the golden child begins to unfold, from this early stage of his life begins the turnabout that made him into who he is to this very day.
Ceres Campbell.
--.: Preamble Aftermath --.
"Thanks for walking me to school Kasen!"
A smile escaped young Ceres as he gazed at his brother's face as they trudged along the snowy path, holding hand in hand. Ceres was in 2nd grade now, he was turning out ever so mature by each passing day. He knew almost no shame, as everyone had revered him up to this point with giving him presents and the likes. This young boy knew of no danger in the world, unaware of the dangers that roamed loose outside of his understanding. Kasen however, stood by his baby brother and protected him. It was almost unfathomable. Two beautiful golden haired children nonchalantly walking on a pavement, lighting up every man, woman and pedestrian's eyes as they fumbled along through the snow. It was simply magnificent, how such a family could live happily. With such a protective big brother, Ceres had little to fear. After all, he put faith in his older brother.
Kasen bore little excitement, as he only returned his answers in form of short gentle smiles. His eyes had usually began to show melancholy ever since Ceres was born. But if one were to know the truth, one would be surprised. It might have been a delusion or simple paranoia, but Kasen felt that his baby brother was slowly stealing his parents and family away. Just because his baby brother had such golden eyes matching his golden hair, and such a harmless personality, did that really mean for him to receive all the attention and glory? Kasen had thought more and more about this as time grew, one cannot expect a child to know of psychology after all. For one such as Kasen, being consumed by jealousy and confusion was not impossible. But the fangs he carried would soon face the very loved ones he merely wanted to hold. Because in the confusion of your emotions, you sometimes accidentally destroy what you originally meant to protect.
Hold on Kasen, even for just a little longer...
Seeing his little brother off at the school's main entrance, his less enthusiastic wave sent Ceres off. His little brother was smiling happily, and it was because he loved Kasen. He had been there to protect his baby brother, always, how could one not develop faith and love for such a human? But the big brother was slowly falling into doubt, he was slowly falling ever so deeper into the dark confusion of his entangled emotions. As the brother's eyes sneered while the school yard emptied itself of pupils scurrying to class, this boy made a thoughtless decision. A decision resulting from the lack of understanding. After all--
--He only wanted to protect them.
He left footsteps in the gentle snow. The thoughts of revenge and selfishness overloaded his head. He had the right to claim the love of his parents for his own as well, if his little brother could do it simply by being alive. Apparently, Kasen never managed that quite. He knew not of selfishness, egoism or jealousy. His contempt and disdain for this coming hatred would not dissipate, it was time to reclaim what was originally his. This is the beginning of the aftermath, the preambled murder!
--.: Treacherous Contempt --.
The time was late December in an evening with raging gusts and snow. The weather was at the brink of turning into a thunder storm, where the snow would turn to hail. In the dim lit apartment of the primely happy family, stood Kasen faced with an unbearable decision. With troubled fists clenched around the handle of a gun, he gritted teeth in disdain. His right hand was stretched out with the gun in hand, pointing at the profoundly proud mother. With sneered eyes and an increasingly throbbing heartbeat, his hatred filled eyes met with the despairing look of their mother. Scorn with the emotional distress, the young brother was subconsciously prepared to pull that trigger. In accordance, a younger baby brother came fumbling out of his bedroom to witness the situation first hand. Perhaps it was for the best, for as the sleet whipped against the window surface, these brothers would break their false bond of encased vigilance.
"Brother, what are you--?!"
A gasp escaped between his lips before he spoke.
-- "R-Ress! You're... you're the one who took everything..."
His chaotic cluster of thoughts began to surface, a tremble of despair.
"Wha--? A gun?! M-MOTHER!!"
His eyes caught sight of Kasen's gun, as well as their mother in the doorway.
-- "Hahah... Because of your existence, I-I...!"
His left palm covered his forehead while his character shone contempt.
"Kasen sweetie, p-put the gun away... We can talk about t-this!"
The mother's attempt was for naught.
-- "BE QUIET YOU!! You... you're not my mother anymore."
The hatred had overpowered him, this determination was unstoppable.
"Kasen, don't say that!"
The desperation continued as Ceres fell deeper and deeper into shock.
-- "I told you... QUIET!!"
He screamed while clenching his grip on the handle of the gun ever so tightly.
"KASEN, DON'T!--"
She lost her posture and stretched her hands out after him.
"Noo..."
In a trembling state of shock, he mustered nothing but a step forward toward his brother.
But it was too late.
-- "AAAGH!!"
Teary eyes of absolute contempt, this was the righteousness of the abandoned.
*BANG.*
"?!?!"
Breath escaped not only his lips, but also the lips of his wounded mother.
Kasen's right clenched hand was trembling, the envious hatred had been allowed to vent. His eyes showed nothing but contempt of his mother and baby brother, anger beyond the reason of treachery. His right arm lowered in accordance to their mother falling to the floor before them. With a following scream from the exposed baby brother, Kasen felt a frantic desperation rip the gun away from his hand. And as the mother's body could be sound hitting the floor, another gunshot echoed in the apartment. Blood splatted over the floor as Kasen gripped hold of his chest. He fell on his knees before Ceres, gripping hold of his baby brother's shirt. He struggled to muster the strength to lift his head up to meet Ceres' eyes. The baby brother's shocking eyes stared into the tiring, avenged eyes of his older brother. The sweat ran down Ceres' back, and his trembling hands would not stop.
-- "Y-You... you s-s-shot me-e..."
His grip on the baby brother's shirt tightened, yet the anger couldn't stack.
"!!"
Ceres' heartbeat rapidly increased as the gun in his hand fell to the floor.
-- "Hah-hah... I'll never--ever love you my baby brother...
EVEEER!!"
Convulsive coughs had blood running down Kasen's gums as his strength left his hands. The big brother slowly fell to the floor before the feet of his baby brother. Ceres was in a state of shock, being only 7 years old, one couldn't expect a child to bear such a burden. As the tension within his heart and mind built itself up, a man entered the apartment in a hurry. The man was his father, shouting ferociously from hearing the gunshots outside in the hallway. Having the man approach his wife's corpse as he lifelessly gazed over at his dead son and a blood covered Ceres, he said nothing. Few high pitched murmurs left his lips as he backed away, eventually running out of the apartment. Ceres fell back on the floor as he gazed at his hands in front of him, and finally screamed. The pressure was too much, the baby brother curled himself up. His golden hair covered his face in shame and despair, as the tears began to run down his cheeks.
"BROTHER!! ...MOTHER--NOOO!!"
The convulsive breaths would not cease, reality granted this boy no mercy.
Pain stacked up, the unbearable truth.
--.: The Twister's Wake --.
Never--!! Never--!! Never--!!
His brother's last words echoed inside his mind. The trauma, the impact, everything was far too real. Never again would anything Ceres had ever known be the same, from here on, absolutely everything would change. The boy who had so long been clean from hurt and harm, was thrown mercilessly into it by the reality that took place. But it was not the end, for it became even more painful as the future unfolded. This golden boy must carry the burden as he walks forward. And at this very moment, the wounded boy was in a large hospital department. After all, the boy was in shock after the traumatic incident several weeks after it occurred. A cool down was required, a rehabilitation period for which Ceres would be allowed to once again grasp the hand of reality. And as before-mentioned, his father was no where to be seen. Once a successful business man, now turned into a street sweeper robbed of everything.
It was a miracle that it merely took weeks for the golden boy, Ceres, to recover enough from the shock to walk about independently inside the hospital. He received a guardian, and nurses kept watch over him most of the day. And as a part of his rehabilitation program, he was taken to experience public social events to slowly reintegrate himself into society. However his eyes never showed enjoyment, only loss and grave despair. It might have been a foolish idea, but his guardian decided to bring him to a church as Christmas drew close. After all it was a huge social event where the birth of the Christ was celebrated with song and emotion. But while heeding and listening to the words of the priest, the little boy felt more and more betrayed by everything reality had to offer. This was no path of liberation, this was a cage of thorns.
"Come unto me, ye who are weary and overburdened, and I
will give you rest."
- Matthew 11:28
"God is with you in all that you do."
- Genesis 21:22
"Be content with what you have, for God has said, "Never
will I leave you; never will I forsake you." So say with
confidence, "The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid."
- Hebrews 13:5,6
No, this wasn't right. How could these people be so carefree about putting their belief into such an otherworldly person that obviously didn't exist? These psalms spewed out so casually by the priest's lips made Ceres filled with disgust. None of these people knew what this boy had experienced. How in the world could this savior make everything okay, or could he turn his brother and mother back from the dead? As he sat on the bench inside the church along with his guardian and the other townspeople, his hands clenched. And as the priest continued his speech of psalms and whatnot, the young boy let his anger and regret get the best of him. He stood up, and decided to speak up his mind. Ceres knew little of the church's supposedly "holy ground" to know what the consequences of his actions would lead to. But regardless, this boy's eyes shone a painful loneliness.
"Y-YOUR GOD IS JUST A BIG LIE!"
People in the church gasped in shock.
His guardian gasped as well, what was this boy thinking of?!
"If-if he wasn't then... Mother wouldn't--"
His eyes became filled with tears.
"--And Kasen...!"
"Ceres Campbell!!"
His older female guardian spoke in anxiety.
"NO! IF YOUR GOD EXISTED, THEY WOULDN'T HAVE DIED!!"
"--THEY WOULDN'T..."
Tears streamed down his cheeks.
His guardian had heard enough, as stubborn and persistent as Ceres was, if this continued the boy could be faced with accusations. Taking Ceres' hand in a painful grip as the guardian led them out, the boy felt little compassion for the rest of the audience inside the church. The golden boy would hear it however, how he had shamed them both inside a church in the middle of the priest's preach. That day turned out more lifeless than usual, as the boy was left wandering around in his hospital room. His vacant eyes staring down every wall in the room. But soon time would reveal a new secret, for this boy couldn't remain hospitalized forever. Soon he would meet his new parents, his new and caring adoptive parents. But those new parental figures had a long and harsh job ahead of them if they wanted to win Ceres' trust. A child betrayed of both love and faith.[/ul]
