Somewhere on the East Coast of the United States of America.
Bang!
Crash!
Thud.
The whole facility was in ruins. Guards were strewn across the floor, walls, and some through the ceiling. This was a disaster. The Sedatives shouldn't have worn out so fast. This kid was not normal., thought Maxwell, as he hurried down the hallway to meet his newest... Guest...
This subject had been acquired by his Special Forces team from deep within the urban area of this state. Charged for multiple accounts of Violence, Murder, and Disregard of Authority. The only thing he did follow was his own code. That code was to keep his sister safe, to keep her as his Pure Little Angel. Maxwell turned a corner... To find the destruction, and the boy, he was looking for.
"Where is my sister."
The poor little bastard. He had no clue how wrong he was to believe that his sister needed protection. She was harder to acquire than this boy, and not because he was protecting her, no. She was deep in the black market, one of the leaders of the underground world. When her Dearest Brother was not watching her... This little Angel became a monster. Maxwell had to go obtain her himself, with a team of his elite, and even then it was troublesome. She had so many traps, so many underlings, and wasn't that bad of a fighter herself. Maxwell put on a mask of harmlessness.
"Your sister is safe, she was with me a couple seconds ago. If you didn't Demolish your Escort, then you would have been led to her.
Kang rushed forward, and grabbed Maxwell by the neck. Maxwell let him, he wanted Kang to feel like he had the power. Kang definitely did overpower him, however, Maxwell could see his moves coming, and could have easily dodged. That is the difference between them. Kang was to be the muscle, and Maxwell the intelligence. Both were going to be needed to protect their asset... "Adam"
"Bring her to me."
Kang's eyes raged with an inner fire, his restraint so far was at it's edge. He wanted to snap this researchers neck, and rush after his sister right now.
"Now, Mr. Grimes, harming me would only make it harder to rescue your sister, for I am the one keeping your sister safe as of now...
As cool and calm and collected as ever, Maxwell looked to have more power over Kang in the situation even though he was slowly being lifted off the ground from a boy 3 inches shorter than him. There was a quick flicker of impatience from his eyes. This whole ordeal was wasting time. "Adam" could be dead right now for all he knew. He needed to obtain this boys cooperation as soon as possible, and fly them back to California.
Kang's grip loosened, and Maxwell dropped the back of his heels back to the floor. Kang then proceeded to turn Maxwell around, and gave him a shove.
"Bring me to her."
Down the hallway and to the right.
Three guards crouched huddled in the corner like scared mice, crying like babes. A young girl stood in the center of the room, the chair she was originally strapped to behind her.
"Well, now I know what is going on. Thank you for your... compliance, officers, however, I have no intention of leaving my home. I like it there, I have the power to make people suffer there. I have gathered all the information I need from you, therefore I have no more use for you.
The little girl moved towards the guards, who began to scream even louder. She stopped, dropped the key which she had sharpened and fashioned into a shank, and moved towards the center of the room. Strapped herself to the chair, and began to cry.
...
Maxwell opened the door, to find his guards huddled in a corner whimpering, and that... Demon sitting rather poorly strapped to the chair in the center crying. What was she trying to pull this time--- Oh wait...
"Sister!"
Kang rushed to his crying sister. What have they been doing to her? Completely oblivious to the guards crying in the corner, Kang ripped off the restraints and hugged his sister.
"Brother... I want to go home...
Allison looked up into her brothers eyes with tears in her own. The fool. What took him so long? She will have to punish him for this... Maybe make him kill someone like the last time he disappointed her. She knew how much he hated killing people. The weakling.
At this point, Maxwell couldn't let things escalate any further in the direction he did not want it to go.
"Your home is no longer safe. The police are looking for you, for what you did.
At this, he pointed at Allison, however she snuggled up closer to Kang so the distinction of who he was pointed to was diminished. Kang stiffened. Home was no longer safe? Where would they go then?
"Now, I know what you are thinking. Where could you possibly go now that home is no longer safe?
Maxwell grinned as Kang gave the look of how did you know? He continued.
"Now, this is where I come in. I know you are a good person, and only did what you have to do to protect your sister. That is why I believe my proposition to you would seem very appealing to you. I am willing to offer you and your sister full protection and pardon you for your wrong deeds as long as you come with me, to California, attend Public High School, and make sure my family doesn't get into any trouble."
At this, Maxwell handed Kang a file on "Adam".

Kang looked at this, and thought for a minute. California? That place wasn't dangerous at all. He would just have to babysit this... Test subject? And he and his sister are in a safe environment, his sister would get an education, and he would not have to worry as much about her. The suburbs, after all, were much safer than this urban environment here. However, he wasn't going to let things be this easy.
"Why should I protect this man? I already have enough trouble protecting my sister and keeping her safe."
Maxwell smiled inwardly. Kang was going the right direction. He wasn't rejecting anything. He was asking questions. All Maxwell had to do was play his cards (and not even have to try playing them right) and Kang will go the direction he wanted him to go.
"Your sister will be under the protection of the government, if you decide to help with our experiment. Also, you would be living in a nicer part of California, be able to live the safe life you always wanted. We know you aren't a killer, Kang, but we also know you can't just give up fighting either. We'll be placing your sister into the safe hands of ourselves, and you would be able to go to PHS 259. This high school is noted for large amounts of violence. You can fight all you want there, without worrying about your sister being caught up in the mess unless she chose to. You know your sister better than all of us, and you should know, she would never place herself directly into danger"
I'll just have to trust in the fact that he does not know that his sister is more dangerous than he is. As long as he believes that, everything shall go smoothly. Kang looked pensive for a moment, as Maxwell knew that the war had already been won.
This bitch is playing my cards against me! Allison silently fumed with anger. She was in no situation to speak with her brother there, so bit her tongue, and looked into her brother's eyes with her own tearful glance. She had to pretend to be the innocent, sweet little sister when she was with Kang. Otherwise she couldn't use him for her own intents and purposes. She gave a cold and meaningful look to Maxwell, who shuddered in response. She could give any man the chills with just a glance. It wasn't a glance that an 8 year old should have. He very much doubted he would like living with the girl, but knew that she would never risk doing something while Kang is in the house, and that was the only time that he feel safe. With Kang, she was powerless against her, and with Allison, Kang was in the palm of his hands.
"Brother..."
His mind was made up. This is no place to raise an eight year old girl. Kang looked at his sister with resolve. She shuddered under his gaze, and buried herself into his jacket. He thought she was sobbing tears of relief. She was holding back her urge to strangle Maxwell, however, and Maxwell could feel the blood lust oozing from her back directed exactly at her. He hesitated.
"So, do we have a deal, Mr. Grimes?
Kang raised his right hand, and offered it to the man.
"You've got yourself a deal, Mr...?"
Maxwell sighed inwardly with relief. Now to find out if "Adam" was compatible with them, and vice versa. He shook Kang's hand.
"It's Wellington, Maxwell Wellington. Our plane leaves in an hour.
