Through the ashes came despair. A shock like none other could comprehend and blood on many hands though only one viable to carry the blame. A new enemy on the horizon had made his presence ever more clear this day. Jaus Valentine would rise from the ashes with what was left of the escaping parties being Gabriel Seran and Nyx Frost. Their embittered faces showed exactly what he was thinking in that instance, Vengeance. The cold flow of blood ran hot with a sudden vigor that couldn't be restrained but with none other in sight but themselves each one bit their lip, head bowed and retreated with the first signs of defeat they'd tasted in some many years.

Seran Estates

Hidden behind what was thought to be safe, the confines of the Seran residence the many faces stood bold looking inwards at one another. They could only wrangle up a few from what was made of the chaos, many still lay strewn across the battlefield and every once in an occasion Gabriel or Jaus would trek out into the midst to relieve a fallen foe from the crumbling waste-side that was once thought to be violent now seeming something much more trivial. Faces palmed in tightly clutched hands, buried tears and angry sighs would make their expressions all the more viable as emotions lit the house with unbridled morose pain.
"We cant just sit here waiting!"
An enamored youth would rise, taking his flight upwards into the rafters of the tiled floor carrying himself to the door. Fists clenched to match the fevered look on his face he'd make it as far to the door before a heavy palm would fall upon his shoulder halting his forward progression. Upward he'd gaze to a downward shaking head, that of Jaus.
"And you cannot do it alone that much is for sure."
The assuring words calmed him if momentarily but the unbudging hand made the man regress much more angrily searching for help to press forward into the vengeful rage direction. Jaus wouldn't release, wouldn't even flinch at the heightened aggression, if anything he should have harbored the most rage. Everything he'd begun to know, the peace under his reign as Captain left to rot. So much for titles. Jayr would laugh at that.
"If we're to stand any chance at this new world we're going to have to start to rebuild."
He'd slowly let his hand off the boy regretting it almost instantly as he'd been shrugged off rather aggressively showing no sympathies yet resisting to step through the doors alone as a great many faces turned up from their buried poises.
"Then what do you say Jaus, we get the ball rolling?"
Gabriel would say from his seated position, albeit smirking with that witty charm of elegance. Hands wrapped around a glass he'd been twirling moments before now hovered just beneath his nose smelling the tart imbue. It was as though he hadn't a care in the world. Though it'd all gone to hell at this point he stood at the mouth of it and laughed beckoning forth more hounds to breach his security.
"What are you suggesting?"
Gabriel would stop, his eyes lingering upwards with brightened irises.
"Well normally I'd leave this up to Jayr to discuss with, but seeing as you're the next best thing, I think you know what I want."
His words baiting at a plan they'd established years beforehand, all the pieces still in place just a little more baiting and plotting and moving and planning and it all came into order. What had Jaus had against the plan? It was never finished, it never would be. It grew, flourished and evolved with Gabriel's ambitions. IT. Would never be. Perhaps that played out well for the SLF. They needed something. They needed an IT.
"If you can promise the safety of these students I..."
"....Warriors..They're warriors now."
Gabriel interrupted, his tone calm and collected while Jaus' wavered on distrust. He held his breath fearing the word leave his mouth as a few faces lit up at the word warriors others found themselves cringing away. Though the word bore some strength.
"If you can promise me their safety, I can comply."
"I can do a great deal more..."
A glinting smile as the room lit up with the first movement of optimism in some time. No doubt the majority of them had heard mixed messages pertaining to Gabriel's many regimes, they'd nearly conquered 3 schools, always the majority only falling short to the top percentile afraid to lose control. Gabriel was a freedom fighter, apart from what others viewed. And he was Very successful.
