.The Basics.
Name: Olesya Van deBogart
AKA: Les, The Renegade (Experiment) , Voice of the Storm Dragon
Former Alias': (Ex) Varsity Captain, Ophelia Lachlan, "No One"
Age: 24
Height: 5' 10"
Weight: 130 lbs.
Blood Type: A Negative
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Straight
Eye Color: Hazel with ice blue flecks.
Hair: Short punky bob, white.
.The Inside.
Personality: Olesya has gone through the ringer during her lifetime, and her personality reflects that. She started out as a curious child, a carefree adventurous teenager. She was friendly to almost everyone, never turned down a challange, and was as loyal as the sky was blue. However, after unfortunate circumstances, she turned into the one thing she feared: a monster. She forgot who she was, instead preying on the innocent and living in the dark. After a few confrontations with ghosts from her past, her memory returned, turning her world upside down. From there she was broken and lost, not sure which reality to accept, which identity to keep. After hitting rock bottom, she subjected herself to years of therapy and unorthodox treatments to clean her system from the correctional facility's experimentation as well as her own self medication. From there, Olesya has regained some of her old spark. She finds it difficult to trust most people, and can appear a bit stand-offish. She is sometime is tempted to prey on weakness and manipulate the naive, but on the whole she is a good person. To those she lets past her hardened outer shell, Olesya can be a bit of a joker and risk taker for the sake of adventure. She's quick to anger, and sometimes she needs to be off on her own to control her emotions and keep them in check. She's also very loyal, so once you earn her trust, there are no lengths that she wouldn't go for you. With that loyalty comes a fierce protection. Olesya has lost too many loved ones in her life to let anything happen to those she cares most about.
Mentality: Mostly stable.
Ideal: Maybe there is some good in the world.
Belief: Unsure.
.The Outside.
Build: Tall and skinny, though significantly healthier than she once was. Slender build of an athlete.
Head: High cheekbones, hazel eyes flecked with ice blue, a slight bump on her nose from breaking it as a child.
Torso: Small frame, average chest, ribs slightly pronounced when she stretches.
Arms: Long, slender, puncture scar on her right shoulder.
Legs: Long, slender, a vertical scar on her right knee.
Feet: Size eight, rather average.
Defining Marks: A couple faint scars lacing across her back, torso, arms, and legs. A tattoo on the inside of her right wrist stating 'Over the edge, over again.' A vertical scar on her right knee from falling on a rock as a kid. Most recently a fresh-looking scar on her right shoulder.
Head Gear: In public, either a hood or head wrap to hide her hair. In safe territory, nothing.
Shirts: Layered tank tops, usually in muted colors. A worn white jacket with BLAZE written on the back (ITEM)
Pants: Worn jeans with large holes in the knees.
Shoes: Worn black ballet shoes (ITEM)
Misc: A couple faded yarn bracelets on her right wrist. Fingerless leather gloves (ITEM)
.The Wham-Bam (Thank you, Ma'am).
Fighting Style: Mixture of breakdancing, street fighting, and capoeira
Years Practiced: On and off for about 12 years.
Description of style: “Capoeira is an Afro-Brazilian martial art, game, and culture created by enslaved Africans in Brazil during the 16th Century, marked by fluid acrobatic play, feints, subterfuge, and extensive use of groundwork, as well as sweeps, kicks, and headbutts.” This mixed with break dancing and her streetwise, no-holds-barred style creates a style all her own that is both fluid and effective against her opponents. Her strength isn't completely in her ability to throw a hard punch. She is relatively fast and limber due to her slender female stature, and her strength lies in her Constitution. As an athlete, Ophelia trained her body to withstand getting beat on. When she was younger she would always pick fights with whoever would take her on, and though she lost most of the time, she became harder and harder to defeat. She isn't all about winning, but proving a point. There isn't a single challenge she would turn down.

Youngest of the Van deBogart children. Stayed to help her mother with the family business, plans to take it over someday. Last seen at the family's business/home, which collapsed.
Friends:
Mitsuki Park - Former PHS 259 School Captain[/i]
Olesya and Mitsuki had a mild friendship that never got the chance to bloom. Olesya had challenged the School Captain to a fight in the school cafeteria, and got her ass beat. After that they began to talk, and Mitsuki bought flower's from the Van deBogart's shop. Olesya has not seen Mitsuki in years, she was presumably dead years before Fate. They've recently reunited.
Emily Santos - Former PHS 259 Newspaper/Interim Captain
Emily was Olesya's closest friend, and her absence hits her hard. They were pillars together, and ran the school when the School Captain David disappeared leaving Emily in charge. Olesya last saw Emily when Olesya came back from PHS 42, in which Emily said goodbye and gave her black ballet shoes. She still wears them.
David Blaze - Former PHS 259 School Captain[/i]
She met him her junior year of high school when he challenged her to a fight. After the fight, he brought her on as his Varsity Captain. He disappeared for a while, leaving Emily and Olesya to run the school. Her last run-in with David was as "Ophelia" in which they had a confrontation on a roof. They've recently met back up in Crows' territory and are close friends.
Stu Pott
Former friend, ex boyfriend, he went a little crazy when Olesya was captured and taking to the correctional facility so that when she returned, they were strangers. They had a fight, he threw an arcade machine at her head. They recently ran into each other in Crow's territory where they mended their differences. People grow and change, afterall.
Jonathan "Unfettered" Winters - Leader of Militia[/i]
Their friendship is unconventional at best. It all started with a fight over a broken skateboard, bloomed into friendship when they participated in a project over the Christmas season in which they took care of a young orphan named Maddie. They fell out of touch when Olesya went crazy, but he found her at the asylum where she was being treated. He then had her sought after when Fate happened to assure her safety and enlist her help.
Mathew Amtrum - Earth Dragon)[/i]
They met in the Correctional Facility, fought as directed by Sean Barker. He humiliated her, she swore to get back at him. They ran into each other a couple different times, ast of which at PHS 42 in which he took her out for a date. She never saw him again.
"ERIS"[/i]
When she returned to Long Beach as "Ophelia," Olesya ran into "Eris" at the local mall and caused mayhem and wreaked havoc. Casualties included a blonde bimbo's hair and the security guards' dignity. Her whereabouts are unknown.
Delilah Black
Former school mates, Delilah escorted Olesya into Crows territory when she arrived back in town. As the only other constant female in her life, they have an interesting bond for their short friendship.
Marcus Prasad
Another new "friend" Olesya keeps running into. Presumably on the same side, they somehow keep getting into trouble together.
Orion[/i][/b]
A fellow experiment, Olesya fought off a large group of thugs within minutes of meeting him. She introduced herself under the alias 'Jane' (as in Jane Doe), as she does not yet trust him with her actual identity, even though he recognizes her as an experiment like himself.

Enemies:
Matrim Gallagher - 552 Transfer(?)[/i]
Matrim arrived at the school with a slew of other students who referred to themselves as Dragons. He challenged Olesya for her Varsity Captain title, beat her, and took it. When she was in the hospital recovering, an earthquake hit Long Beach, destroying the school temporarily.
Sean Barker (LOCATION UNKNOWN)[/i]
The asshole behind the correctional facility abductions and experiments. Olesya was injected with chemicals, forced to fight other inmates and guards, and eventually broke out thanks to the efforts of the students and staff of PHS 259. If she ever sees Barker again, his head is on a plate.
Gabriel Seran[/i]
Somewhat friends, somewhat enemies, Olesya and Gabriel often played cat and mouse, engaging in fights to one-up each other.

Basic History:
OLD BIO
- Childhood
Born in Chicago, Illinois to Meridian and Heath Van deBogart. Olesya is the third of four children, her other siblings being Melody, Darien, and Gabriella in that order. Her family moved to Long Beach when she was five, as her father got a job with a stunt crew that operated in various studios in California while her mother started a floral and cafe business. Olesya attended a private arts school for her kindergarten to eight grade years and was mainstreamed to public high school #259 in her ninth grade year.
- High School (PHS #259)
When the Enforcers invade the school her sophomore year, Olesya is among the student body to fight back. In the final battle she is kidnapped with a handful of other students by a maniac named Sean Barker. His goal was to create the perfect super soldier. His plans failed, and the captives were broken out in an effort lead by the school's staff and students. As a junior, Olesya then became Varsity Captain under School Captain David Blaze, with Emily Santos as School Newspaper, and the Student Body President position unfilled. All three students had been prisoners of the Correctional Facility, and aimed to make the school safe from predators like Sean Barker. She helped run the school when David disappeared suddenly, leaving Emily as interim School Captain. He later returned and took position as Student Body President with Emily remaining as SC. During this time, Olesya crossed paths with a boy who called himself "Unfettered," getting into a fight over a smashed skateboard. They were later paired for a school assignment in which they were to take care of a local orphan named Maddie, and give her a pleasant Christmas. The two reached a truce, and a strange friendship over this week-long assignment. Olesya was taken from her pillarship (along with David and Emily) when the Dragons came to town. Matrim Gallagher challenged her to a fight and wound up hospitalizing the now former Varsity Captain.
- High School (PHS #42)
While hospitalized, an earthquake shook Long Beach, destroying a good portion of the town and school. Her family's business destroyed, they moved to the Avenues to rebuild, and allow their kids to attend a more wholesome school. She was briefly part of a band called Stir Fry Friday in which she played bass and sang. Olesya's friends slowly began to disappear, leaving Olesya alone. She began to fight with her thoughts, the chemicals in her system from the Correctional Facility taking a latent effect. It drove her mad, bleaching her eyes an unnatural ice blue. Fearing that she was becoming a monster, she took off without telling anyone where she was going. The chemicals caused her to become more angry, more impulsive, more erratic, and suppressed her memories until she could no longer remember who she was. This crazed version of herself went by the name Ophelia, and wreaked havoc wherever she went.
- Full Circle
Her adventures took her away from California as she went where the wind took her, but eventually the wind took her back to Long Beach where she ran into a few old familiar faces. Crazed with unnatural looking eyes, her former friends still recognized her, shaking her so that her memories began to trickle back into her mind. Conflicted by these two realities, Olesya briefly referred to herself as 'No One' as she tried to figure out which reality would win out: The broken, failed ex-Varsity Captain, or the crazed, manic loner. She disappeared off the radar once again before turning up in a police station in Northern California. They had arrested her for sleeping in the park, and after finding out that she was under the influence, dragged her in. "Unfettered" (who Olesya had learned to call Jon) heard about her arrest, and went off searching for her. He found her in an asylum in Northern California, half crazed out of her mind looking thin and sickly as the chemicals (both from the facility experimentation and self-medication) began to eat away at her physically. She stayed there to clean up the drugs she'd willingly put into her system, but the chemicals from the correctional facility still coursed through her body from years ago. She is now nineteen.
- Getting Clean
After receiving treatment at the asylum, Olesya was placed in a 'halfway house' of sorts to get her readjusted for the real world. The House was run by a man named Dr. Edward Twist, who specialized in unorthodox treatments. He had heard about Sean Barker and the experiments, and offered to help clean out Olesya's system from the toxins Barker had subjected her to. She spent five years at the house, readjusting both physically and mentally into a healthier, happier person when Fate happened. The House itself was not hit with the bombs, but the aftershock destroyed a good portion of the House. Olesya suffered minor injuries, and stayed to help those who had gotten more seriously hurt. "Unfettered's" agents arrived within a few days of Fate, and convinced her to return to Long Beach where her services were more needed.
This is where her story re-begins.
