Raikotsu had just gotten back from his trails for the family, and was ready to be welcomed back into the everyday life of a Sudeki warrior. It wasn't until then that he noticed that the air around the compound seemed to be different. There seemed to be a slight chill in the air and he noticed that it was too quiet for a place of this much importance in the Sudeki family. He noticed one of the his family members skulking about.
"Hey, whats going on? Why is it so gloomy around here?"
"Haven't you heard?" his cousin asked him with shock in his eyes "Our sacred temple was attacked! A large some of our family has been murdered!"
It felt as though Raikotsu had been slapped in the face, "What?!" he asked unable to believe this was even remotely possible. "We were attacked? By who? Who would dare attack our family?!"
His cousins expression immediately changed from sad, to an expression that Raikotsu could feel was a burning rage and hatred as he said "Katashi." the anger was flowing off of him in waves "The Katashi family massacred ours, at our most sacred location!" He stormed off with his fist clinched.
Raikotsu was frozen in place he was shocked that such a thing could happen. He left the compound needing to clear his head, the majority of his family massacred he didn't know what to think, of course he was angry at the Katshi for doing such a terrible act but he wanted to know why, surely it wasn't just because they were rivals, even rivals respect each others honor. What could this mean? Raikotsu noticed that while walking around trying to figure things out he was now somewhere in the city. He didn't know the city well as he spent most of his days in or around the compound so decided while he was here he'd look around for a bit, maybe looking around an unfamiliar case would be a well needed distraction so he could think with a clear head later on. All of a sudden he heard a disturbance happening nearby and decided to check it out. Joining a thickening crowd of people he looked past to see what all the commotion was about when he noticed there was a fight happening in front of him he looked to see if it was anyone he noticed, sure enough first figure he laid eyes on was his good friend and Cousin, Spike Sudeki.
