Last night you dreamed you were on the roof of a skyscraper, a building so tall that all you could see below were the tops of sunlit clouds. The constant gust was rather chilly as you stood without a jacket and looked over the ledge.
Beside you perched a gargoyle, not much bigger than you are. The weathered stone beast's ghastly face peered down at the clouds below as if it saw something far below that you do not.
It sat on the ledge of the roof rather precariously and it seemed almost like you could just push it right over into the cloudy abyss... if you were tempted to.
- I pushed the gargoyle off the roof.
- I left the gargoyle alone.

Lucien was cold.
It was cold. He shivered, clutching his arms to his chest to conserve warmth. He must have left his hoodie somewhere, because there was just a black t-shirt hanging from his frame.
His green eyes looked around, the bitter wind smacking his face. It really was high, wasn't it?
Lucien rested his hand on the gargoyle's arched back, saying to it, "You know, the old man was right. I should have brought that ball."
The gargoyle stared down at something. Like it was longing for something. But, it stayed silent, not answering Lucien's question. It stared, and all it did was stare. Longing. Waiting. Maybe Lucien could help...
Lucien's hand was still on the stone figure. Maybe if he just gave it a good push, the gargoyle's wings would glide it down. It made sense. But, it was windy...
Lucien braced both his arms on the gargoyle and pushed with all his might, pushing it off the edge of the building.

You watched the stone creature plummet and disappear into the clouds. For a moment the vapors parted to reveal, underneath... nothing but more clouds.
And you heard, suddenly, the beating of wings.
The surface of the clouds stirred and through them soared the gargoyle, now very alive, and angry. It beat its wings to hover in front of you by the edge of the rooftop. Glaring.
"Excuse me," it rumbled in a gravelly voice. Clawed hind feet landed and clenched at the ledge as it reached out to grab you by the collar of your shirt with intent to throw you off the roof.
What did you do then?

Lucien, upon seeing that the Gargoyle was angry, would try to dodge the stone creature's grasp.
"Ah! I'm sorry! I thought you wanted to go down there! Please don't throw me off, I don't have any wings!" He would shriek.

The gargoyle gives you a strange look. You don't have wings? Are you sure about that?
"I think you should jump." he growled, retracting his claws from your shirt. He glares at you expectantly as he crouches on the ledge.
- I take a leap of faith and jump off the roof.
- I do not jump off the roof, that is a stupid idea.

Lucien would blink. Jump?
But then, it did sound like a good idea...
Lucien summoned up all his might and courage, and sprinted for the edge of the roof. He jumped off and was weightless for a second......

...And then you realized you had wings after all. Maybe with a little more faith in yourself than before, you dived into the clouds and glided through the ethereal mist until you woke up.
You gained +5 CHA.
