To Stand Where He Stood (Open)

[Katsu]

It wouldn't take long for Katsu to have heard of the new King of Aurora, and the fact was some of the information was still readily available to the public, such as the time he spent at Cabal Academy.

As such, Katsu would stride up to the property, pretty much directly for the front doors. He's intent on finding someone, anyone who had known Blake Oleander, and learning what sort of man now ruled his homeland.

[Qi Yanmei]

Yanmei meanwhile didn't really care about that part. She was more interested in seeing what sort of place this was. She was already impressed by how it looked! And they'd seen so many citizens on their way here.

Saaaadly she'd have to wait until Katsu got some answers before she could start messing around. She knew how important it was to him.

[Allison Kazim]

It woul be hard to miss the shock of red hair as the front doors opened. Looking over her shoulder in response to some last minute question from inside, she all but collided with a dark-haired man she'd never seen before as he strode up to the front doors. Not that seeing a strange face surprised her at this point; she didn't track everyone and there were plenty of representatives from the rest of the Big Four around somewhere.

"Oh for - hey!" She bit back the rest of her comment, though the snappy tone slipped through. The man was a little too well-dressed to be just anybody. She looked him up and down, expression falling neuteral as she stepped to the side. Last thing she needed was someone important holding a grudge against her - or hte promise of one.

"Right. Sorry." It was polite enough, if not entirely sincere. She stepped to the side to let the man pass!

[Katsu]

Katsu's eyes widen as someone almost walks into him, and he steps back briefly, a small frown on his face from the tone.

An apology was an apology, however, and he would simply let it slide, opting instead to give her the same sort of once-over.

"It's fine. Do you work here?"

For lack of a better term.

"I'm in the midst of looking for information."

[Qi Yanmei]

"Um, ahaha. Hold on." Yanmei would raise her hand to interrupt Katsu, looking down at the red-head with an unimpressed expression.

"I don't know what sort of wilderness you're from, Miss, but you need to try that apology again~."

Yanmei sounds pleasant the whole time, but it's obvious it's fake.

"Honestly, pretending like her clumsyness is your fault Kacchan. You can't just let rude girls walk all over you."

Ali shook her head at the question directed her way. It seemed the man was either looking for one of the higher ups, or a new recruit.

"No, I--" She stopped as a woman with pale hair and cocky tone appeared, chiding her on her manners. Her eyes narrowed slightly, but only just. It seemed this one had a companion already, and a pushy one at that.

"I'm sorry, you are?" She was eying the woman, but the question could be for both if they chose.

[Katsu]

Katsu looks at Yanmei and shakes his head.

"I'm not letting anyone walk over me."

Before looking back at Allison.

"Maeda Katsu. As I said, I'm looking to find out more about someone else who used to be here..."

He's silently praying that Yanmei doesn't rise to the bait given already.

[Qi Yanmei]

Yanmei just rolls her eyes and shakes her head. She's a bit annoyed that he doesn't even bother introducing her and just moves back to the question he's obsessing over.

"Humans..." she mumbles.

[Allison Kazim]

"Allison Kazim. Pleasure to meet you." She tilted her head back towards the main office since he mentioned looking for someone.

"The office is over there; they might be able to help you. It's possible other people on campus may know. Who exactly were you looking for?" She noted the mumbling from teh woman with pale hair, eyelids fluttering for half a second in reaction but otherwise staying away from the obvious bait. For now.

[Katsu]

"Anyone."

He says, and despite his fairly cool demeanour, there's an undercurrent of nervousness to his tone. So much so that that he hasn't even picked up on Yanmei's annoyance, despite their usual being in sync.

"Anyone who can tell me about Blake Oleander, and what he's done to territory 63."

[Qi Yanmei]

Yanmei doesn't add to it, she just floats and waits with her arms crossed.

[Allison Kazim]

The tone defied the demeanor that he presented to the world, an undercurrent that would be easy for some to miss. Allison sent him a questioning gaze, intending to direct him to the office again with a recommendation on who might be able to help him the quickest, but the name struck her.

"His name's well known here. I'm surprised you hadn't heard."  She looked him over again, considering him more carefully.

"He's currently the King of Aurora.  What used to be Territory 63, and a couple of others."  She was trying not to be distracted by thte other woman, who was sulking like a child.  The two were an odd set, but to each their own.

[Katsu]

"Yes. I heard he became king."

Katsu nods.

"I was hoping... you could tell me if he's made any changes to the Territory."

Almost as if he can't help himself, he glances at Yanmei afterwards.

[Qi Yanmei]

At first she just keeps looking indifferent, but she can't help but give him a sympathetic look when he glances over at her.

And, with very little warning:

"Katsu was exiled for having Qi. He's a tad homesick, now."

She's pretty sure the girl can put two and two together as for what this is about.

Thankfully, Yanmei was right, though it also meant Ali could skip over the niceties to get to what Katsu really wanted to know most. It still felt so strange to think of the exile for your abilities; back home, you were low-class if you were weak with them, but to the rest of the world? It was a roulette.

"I see." Her expression softened a bit as she nodded. "Well, as I understand it, they are willing to bring people with qi and abilities back into the territory now. I saw myself, when I was there. Some are a bit more prominent in the kingdom than others, but I've not heard of someone being turned away from it since, or any other similar fate." She considered the other woman for a moment with a thoughtful hum.

"They do have an entourage here, and I imagine you could meet him yourself, if you wanted." Unfortunately, she was not Blake's keeper, so who knew what he was doing.
