Burn, burn, burning!

After finally having gotten situated more in her...new home, Marin needed to expend TONS of excess energy from the first sweet she'd ever eaten.

She's running down the halls at top speed, swinging her plush rabbit around like it's a damn weapon...feeling like the fastest kid alive. All she'd need now are light up shoes and she'd be god damn uncatchable.

But for the moment, she's just a hazard for anyone turning corners because she's standing at 4'1" and stopping for NOTHING.

[David B.]

Rushing around the corner, she smashed head first into the back side of David, the gold circlet on his head glimmering in the school lights as he turned around to look down at her.

"Hello."

The guards moved forward, but he stopped them. Neo was still outside, talking to that girl, so he had time. He crouched, forearms resting on the top of his thighs.

"Where are we going so quickly?"

[Marin]

ALRIGHT THEN. She's stopping for ONE thing.

After landing on her behind with a grunt, she'd look up at David, eyes glittering at the sight of the circlet. It was so shiny...

Panting like an over-excited hamster she'd give him a wave.

"Yo!" she'd start. Because she learned that like an hour ago and it her favourite greeting now.

"I'm running!"

[David B.]

"I see."

Air would circle around her, lifting her up off the ground and into the air a few feet, whipping her hair about a bit as he'd begin lowering her to the ground. He grinned.

"I don't remember seeing someone running around the academy when I was here....you must be new...."

He would offer her his hand.

"My name is David. What's yours?"

[Marin]

Marin would tilt her head, then mimic him by grinning back!

"Marin! I'm new!"

She gives a lot of nods to really show him he's right.

"Came from cold place! Now dad is here!"

[David B.]

"Your dad? Who might that be?"

He kept his ears perked, but watched this tiny child with some interest. He wasn't aware the policy for the kids here had changed but...then again, with him at the helm he shouldn't be surprised.

[Marin]

Oh geez here we go.

"Kraker."

She messed it up again.

[David B.]

No idea who that is. Must also be new.

"I see."

He would stand back up, glancing at the short black haired women to his right.

"Find out who Kraker is."

She would nod, and walk off into the school. He looked back to Marin.

"Tell me, Marin....do you have powers?"

[Marin]

That poor lady...

"Yeah! Look!"

Marin holds out her hand and furrows her brows in concentration before it bursts into flames!

[David B.]

"Interesting...."

David would cock a brow.

"And why did you decide to come to Cabal? It's quite....dangerous here, at times..."

[Marin]

Marin tilts her head, then shakes it.

Then gives a shrug.

"Person left me here."

She has no real idea where she is.

[David B.]

He stared.

"Person....? What person? Are you saying you...don't have a home?"

[Marin]

She gives another shrug, mostly to the question of who the person was.

"This is home. Before...cold place with master is home. But now it's here."

Or so she was told. She was more than happy to believe it.

[David B.]

He was full on scowling now. He muttered- "What kind of fucking academy is Asiv running here..."

It gave him all the more reason to do what he came here to do. He'd hum.

"Well, Marin, this place is dangerous. It has come under attack more than once...just, be careful, okay?"

[Marin]

She doesn't get his displeasure, shaking her hand to put out the fire she started.

"Not scared."

She puffs her chest to look bigger.

"Danger will burn like ants!"
