Mathew puffed at the cigar in his mouth, chewing on the tip as he frowned over the paper in his hand, looking beyond it to the man that he had strung up over a tree.


"What is the worst thing you've experienced since you've been a part of *Insert territory*?"

"What are your thoughts on the rapid increase of foreigners entering our lands?"



"Do think territories with walls have less issues with the 'foreigners issue'?"

"This is a crock of shit.  You expect me to believe that you found me in the middle of the deadlands to ask me this crap."

He shook his head, inhaling on the cigar, the cherry turning red as he drew it in, exhaling the smoke as he drew it out of his mouth and drove the cigar into the man's ribs.  He cried with pain as his flesh seared.  Mathew's other hand crumpling the paper.

"Let's try my questions instead.  How did you find me?  And who the fuck sent you.  And I would recommend being honest because I don't mind dragging this out..."

"What is the worst thing you've experienced since you've been a part of *Insert territory*?"

"The worst thing? Well I did misplace my favorite baton after our last show. But such things happen from time to time. We make do.

"What are your thoughts on the political situations going on?"

"Honestly? I try not to focus on politics. It's easy to give an opinion on the surface, but it's often much more complicated than it seems from the outside."

"What are your thoughts on the rapid increase of foreigners entering our lands?"

"Haha. Well I mean, technically I'm not from here so I feel like I might not be the best person to ask. But personally, I don't see a problem with it. It's much better to build bridges and roads than walls. Right?"

"I guess? But they also lose out on everything those foreigners have to offer. If you ask me, the cost is pretty high to keep out some imaginary 'other'."

"What is the worst thing you've experienced since you've been a part of *Insert territory*?"



Ben would dig at the inside of his ear with his pinky as he thought about it.  "Well, there was this one guy that came up to me and started asking a bunch of annoying and stupid questions.  Does that count?" 

"What are your thoughts on the political situations going on?"


"I don't give a shit.  I don't give a fuck."

"Who the fuck said I was foreign!?  You know what, fuck you!"

Ben whips out his junk and slowly backs up gyrating his hips as he raises both of his middle fingers up into the air!

"Some people tried to rob me on the road.  But it wasn't the worst thing that could have happened."

"Uhhh... I'm not really sure what that is?  Which territory is this again?"

"Has it been rapid though?"

"Nope.  Last I heard the invaders were digging underground.  Walls don't seem to do much to stop it."

"The passing of the previous High Chancellor was a great loss to us all, and his absence will be a detriment to Academia for years to come." 

"What are your thoughts on the political situations going on?"



"I do not think it would be appropriate for me to comment on this question at this time.  My apologies."

"I find it troubling.  Not because of anything wrong with any particular foreigner.  But anytime you have a mass exodus or mass migration it speaks to the destabilization of other regions, and that can have consequences that reverberate throughout all of the territories. 

"Do think territories with walls have less issues with the 'foreigners issue'?"

"Technically yes, though I would argue that walls are crude and there are far more effective ways to secure one's border."

"Nothing that hasn't happened to me in other territories."

"Such things are not my place to question or dwell on."

He just slowly smiles a toothy grin.

She leaned forward and hands the paper back to him.

"You know, you should really leave while you can.  Unless you want to talk to my father."

"What is the worst thing you've experienced since you've been a part of *Insert territory*?"

I guess that depends on when you consider my being a citizen here. The battle to keep this land safe was a hard one."

"What are your thoughts on the political situations going on?"

"There's tension from the outside, but not unmanageable."

"What are your thoughts on the rapid increase of foreigners entering our lands?"

"Aurora has grown into the territory that it is by welcoming and including people who come from different territories. As long as they follow our laws and don't cause trouble, there shoudln't be an issue."

"Do think territories with walls have less issues with the 'foreigners issue'?"

"Our wall kept us safe from an invasion, but there is no "foreigners issue" here."

"The death of my family."

"There's change everywhere. But we still stand strong and true to who were are."

"Aurora has grown quickly with all the changes and people that arrive. It's overwhelming, but they are happy to participate. We could have it worse."

"No walls protected us from invaders before. We can stand on our own against any issues that come our way."

"The battle at our gates a few months ago. I lost friends and almost lost family on the field."

"What are your thoughts on the political situations going on?"

"Change is needed, inside and outside of our territory. Not being flexible will only lead to destruction and bring us down as a whole."

"What are your thoughts on the rapid increase of foreigners entering our lands?"

"Traders and sailors have always been welcome. We don't have a lot of people coming in that can't provide change and support."

"That's not the issue we have."

"I've been bored the past half hour and a wagon wheel broke.  I don't even know what territory we're in right now."

"Let 'em rot for all I care.  If they can't make it where they're going, then the fuckers shouldn't have left int eh first place"

"There's been change recently, and that means ripples. We will do what we have to."

"Well, I'm one of those foreigners. So you tell me."

"Are you suggest I'm an issue?" Rozalin raises a brow, silently waiting and staring down the reporter for their response.

"What is the worst thing you've experienced since you've been a part of 235?"
"The...arrival...was rough."  Celia shudders at the memory of sacrifices everywhere.

"What are your thoughts on the political situations going on?"

"Well, it's always difficult to pass on rule to someone else.  The people mourn the loss of their King.  But it's important to keep our eyes outward and stand strong.  Together."

"What are your thoughts on the rapid increase of foreigners entering our lands?"

"I don't' believe we have many that stay from outside lands.   "

"No wall will deter people from this place if they want to come through or stay.  The best I can do is help them adjust and ensure that there are policies to do so."
