So she was for the most part healed and well rested as she was ushered into a gymnasium with a few different set ups to test, train, and habilitate those with power and keeping the general use elements weaved into them as well. She had no idea who or how many would show up but as far as she understood this might be a free use for any of the older kids who have free time. Suppose it was a good pace for her to start off with.

Stevie meandered in to the gym, a look of interest mingled with something dark. Loss perhaps? She shuffled over to one of the many tables for drinks and frowned deeply before clenching a fist and all the liquid sprayed over the floor and froze in place, but not before assembling itself into several hundred tiny ice spikes. A single tear slid silently down her face and she angrily wiped it away.

She heard the water spill along with anyone else who was in the gymnasium and saw the ice and saw the woman who looked familiar to her. But it was worse off seeing the ears of her turn red and her lip quiver as her cheeks glistened. Rhona rushed in a sprint towards her.
“Hey... hey... come sit down.” Rhona reached for her and pointed to some lifting benches. If Stevie would go and sit on them she’d get another cup of water and press a maintenance and cleaning button. Xepham showed her the system and knew it was only a matter of time before some one came. Rhona hadn’t said anything to her making sure Stevie was good to let her cry out freely.

Stevie went with the woman, she was familiar to her as well. Someone in a store? Someone in her way? Someone in her building? Someone from the old world? Her mind skittered away from the thought, new tears sprouting. She hastily wiped them away too. "I'm fine." She said in a quiet shaky voice

“You’re a survivor from the dome or one of the kids from 8 years ago?” Rhona handed her the water.

Stevie blinked up at her. She looked into her eyes, searching for... Something that wasn't there. She looked at the cup of water and took it, nodding.

It wasn’t really an answer to her question but Rhona took it either way it hadn’t mattered.
“Want to talk? I’m Rhona, Rhona Hall.” She extended a hand to her in greeting.

Memories swam in front of Stevie's eyes. Some good some bad. "Stevie-Rae Wilson. I think I remember you. We fought a few times." Weak smile.

Rhona searched her memory, it felt familiar like a distant dream. She wasn’t sure wholly but she took it. “That might be it then... what brought you to the school?”

Stevie gave a shrug and accepted the hand shake. It wasn't her usual, more like a semi-limp gesture. "Wandering. Meandering." Searching for a purpose amongst the ashes of my life.

Rhona could see her mind was far from her physical presence. She certainly barely saw anything in front of her as her mind was clouded with past fires.
“Tell me your story?” Rhona offered.

Stevie took a sip of the water and sighed. "Nothing is the same. Everything is different. I want to go home but- I can't. Nothing will ever be the same." She brought her eyes back to Rhona. "He's gone" And she would burst into tears.

“Who?” She would ask wondering how close she might have felt to this person be it a husband, brother, or a child maybe.

Stevie just shook her head. "He wasn't mine. I wanted him to be but he wasn't." Others always thought her outbursts were completely stupid. 'you should have known better' and 'well thats just who he was' or even 'you were no more than a conquest to him'. It never got easier.

Gods of love would cry if they saw this. “I’m sorry for your loss regardless.” Maybe she would make the assumptions of her losing a lover by this point. “I understand how you feel... kind of... I know loss at least. These days there is a lot of loss going around. Though I don’t know much about romantic love. I do know that it’s good to mourn what you have lost.”
She tried to think a moment when a hand rubbed the back of her neck and her thick lips were tucked in her teeth thinning them to near nonexistent. Her now short and wavy hair was still something new she was getting used to. “Some times I’ll punch a sandbag and throw myself into a Training session until I feel like jelly and want to lie on the mats and sleep. By the next say I feel like my head is clearer to process what happened.”
