What Awaits the Wonder (Open)

[Djoser Aneksi]

"Cat themed card, or a trinket that has a cat like aspect to it. For guys it's a little harder but we could still find one!"

He'd say sweetly, hoping to get to help.

[Lorelai Khaalid]

Lorelai paused a moment, thoughtfully. She tilted her head to one side as she contemplated accepting help from a stranger, especially for Haku. Finally, she nodded. She made a motion with her hand for this person to lead the way.

[Djoser Aneksi]

"A mug, sign, mouse pad, or other such things."

He'd look straight ahead, trying to be respectful.

[Lorelai Khaalid]

Lorelai followed after the stranger, seemingly lost in thought. What on earth could she get Haku that he didn't already have? He seemed like the man with the plan.

"....a mug," she finally said, softly. "Something... punny."

[Djoser Aneksi]

"A perfect gift for a boss." He'd say quietly. He's not the type to speak to someone in thought.

She nodded. She wasn't very good at puns, but hopefully, she could find a good coffee mug... with a cat... and a pun. She glanced up, searching for the ceramics shop she had seen on her first sweep of the Market.

Nodding towards it, she began to lead DJ over to the building, though she did not say much. It was painfully obvious that she was a woman of few words.

He just nodded back, following her to the ceramics shop quietly and then taking the lead to show her where the cat mugs in the store were as he saw them.

[Lorelai Khaalid]

Lorelai stood at the entrance to the ceramics shop with wide, confused eyes, glancing around and obviously overwhelmed. Just as she was about to turn to DJ for help, she noticed him walking immediately back to the cat mugs. She let out a breath she hadn't realized she had been holding, and followed after him, keeping her head down.

The sword was enough to keep most of the shop people away. While the TSI were a very prominent figure of power in the city, they still weren't always looked at with fondness... and everything about Lorelai screamed "trained soldier."

Dj would be gathering a few of the mugs to display before Lorelai. Trying to find ones with puns on them.

Though he was afraid of seeming rude, he would say "So, are all TSI agents so quiet?" with a sweet tone and curious eyes.

[Lorelai Khaalid]

She gave a shake of her head. She had always been fairly quiet, even before everything that had happened to her. She was glancing through the mugs, trying to find one that was... funny, at least. Most of the puns, she didn't seem to get. Which she should have expected.

She cocked her head to one side. Why were there always so many options? Why couldn't something like this be simple?

"I'm.... a rarity, in the TSI," she said, forcing herself to speak in an effort to be... friendly. After all, DJ was helping her out quite a bit.

"If you don't want to speak, you can always tell me you don't want to" Dj would say politely. "I don't want you to feel uncomfortable.

He would point to a mug and say "This one would be my choice, but ultimately you know your boss the best."

[Lorelai Khaalid]

She glanced at the mug. DJ seemed to think that she knew Haku well, but most of what she knew of him she had learned through simple observations. She spent quite a bit of time with him, but most of the time, she was watching him and watching the world around her. Their conversations were minimal, at best. Obviously.

She nodded towards the mug DJ pointed out and reached out for that one. She would begin to silently help him put the rest of the choices back.

He would create an illusion of himself after they had almost finished, turning invisible and sneaking off to the counter to pay for the mug. By the time Lorelai was finished, he would be back, handing her the bag as the illusion disappeared. Smiling with glowing eyes.

[Lorelai Khaalid]

Lorelai stood awkwardly beside the illusion for a moment, glancing around. She missed DJ and his little trick entirely, and when he popped back up in front of her with the bag, she slowly tilted her head to one side. She was typically quite a perceptive little fox. It seemed weird that she would miss something.

She took the bag and nodded at him. "Useful. Qi?"

"It is. I am an illusionist." He'd say with a smile. To emphasize, he would let his eyes glow different colors, iridescent pulses appearing around them.
