Only Human (Eve)

[Lucifer]

Eve was barely out of the gates of the Egyptian God's, ready to begin her task and prove herself when she would feel the ground shake underfoot.  Strong enough to nearly throw her to the side as the second mount Olympus crashed into the ground.  The rippling shockwaves of the impact would send buildings crumbling in their wake.  The sounds of the wailing dead would erupt from the silence and suddenly it was like nails scraping along chalkboards in every fiber of her being.      The sky would darken as she could see what was almost a hole in the sky.  Though she could only see it from the corner of her eye, every time she tried to focus on it she would find nothing out of the ordinary other than the horde of winged horrors that were now descending upon the lands ruled by the Gods and diving at her! 

The creature dove for Eve it's tendrils dripping inky black liquid as it's inhuman shriek seemed to amplify the cries of the unquiet dead.  Eve has less than three seconds to react before the creatures is able to do whatever it plans to do with those tendrils however, so she would need to act fast!

It was being in a waking nightmare, the sounds that filled the air and made it seem like Eve could her skin crawl from the inside. She stumbled and caught herself before falling over completely, pushing herself up in time to see the sky grow dark and a hole form in the sky. Frowning, she tried to find a safe spot from the crumbling buildings and found some thing headed right for her.

"Oh hell no." Nope nope nope. It could keep its tentacles to itself. She took a step back to stay out of reach, hurling her qi constructed blades at the creature to hopefully slap away said tentacles or hopefully cut them as the blades spiraled into a point, hoping to hit the creature!

Smite - Evelyn is able to further charge her inner strength and unleash it through her constructs. Shaped like blades, they hurl themselves at the enemy for a single strike. 1/2 her ENG is added to SPD and ENG, doing her full ENG in damage.

Eve's construct was able to slice through one of the tendrils that was whipping at her, but a second would would wrap around her arm, the inky black liquid sizzling into her skin without burning it. Almost like it was evaporating, though she would feel her stomach begin to churn and rebel suddenly as the tendril tightened around her, attempting to pull it closer to split beak maw, it's mucus dropping and searing the ground.

"Ah!" Cursing under her breath, Eve swallowed the rioting of her stomach as she activated her shield, letting it form a bubble around her as she formed an earthen dagger, slicing at the tendril that wrapped around her and tried to pull her closer to the creature in case the shield didn't force the contact to stop.

If it did break contact with the tendril on her arm, instead, she'd hurl it at the creature!

What the hell was this thing?

These blades have an attack power of %125 her energy plus her attack stat. These blades are capable of many things.
1. If they cut someone they leave behind flecks of earth which can be used as a tracking target for any other Qi ability Evelyn uses.
2. If thrown or slashed at a projectile attack, if the attack of the blades is higher than the projectile it will backlash the attack in it's entirety to the user

She would slice through the second tendril as the creature reared back in pain! The sound and feeling of the souls of the dead intensifying even more as she could almost feel them behind her. The black liquid on her arm now fully evaporated would leave behind three black spots on her flesh.

[Evelyn Amtrum]

Any triumph she felt was devastated by the screams that screams that were still so intense that she wanted to bang her head against a wall just to feel or sense something different. The black spots would have to wait until this thing was destroyed. It already hurt to think.

The all-too familiar attack returned, stronger now as the construct blades hurled themselves at the creature as they had at her father during their training sessions, aiming for some sort of soft underbelly or other vulnerable spot that looked like her attack might stick and slay the beast, doing what she could to keep the beast at a better distance.

The creature would thrash and lunge for her as her blade flung forth, stabbing the creature in the throat, dropping it to the ground as it thrashed and convulsed before melting into the black liquid that dripped from it's limbs. Free for the moment Eve could feel the presence of the spots on her arm, but she could also see more of those creatures trying to overwhelm other fighters.

Three of them seemed to have their tendrils wrapped around one large man who was struggling to break free of them. While another nearby fighter was trying to fend off five of them with his spear.

[Evelyn Amtrum]

The fact that she was able to notice it wasn't exactly comforting. Eve takes a look at the black blood dripping from the creature, then to her arm, examining the spots and flexing her fingers to make sure everything was still functional.

As long it is, she moves on to help the man fighting against three of the creatures, hurrying over to him and slamming her foot down as a qi-formed visor briefly formed in front of her. She hurls the earth spikes at the creature closest to her, aiming to hit it from behind.

She could feel the spots on her arm, but not with her fingers if she touched it. They would not wipe off nor did they seem to be anything other than a mark or stain on her skin. Yet she could feel their presence.

Evelyn impales one of the creatures, it's screaming ripping through the air sending shockwaves of pain through her brain as it echoed with the howling dead. The large man took the opportunity to push out with all of his strength, pushing them back as one wrapped a tendril around his throat while another one whipped one of it's dripping appendages toward Eve!

That was weird, to say the least, but time for that later when she isn't dealing with more tentacle monsters.

"Gah!" She clamped her hands over her ears at the sound the dying creature made as she impaled it, the sound mixing with the sounds of the dead to the point it felt more like a dagger than nails on a chalkboard. She winced, but was glad to see the man spring into action.

"No one asked you!" she snapped as she called upon her qi sprite. This was not a time to play passive. While she still had the bubble shield around her, she didn't feel like relying on it alone.

"Tiel, knock it into the other one." She'd pull her hands away and do her best to dodge to the side of the incoming tentacle, conjuring another dagger and hurling it at the creature, aiming at its neck. Neck as she quickly made her way to the giant. Hopefully, it would hit the creature and stick, that was fine. She just needed it to get close enough to explode without hurting the man being strangled after their combined efforts.

Sprite: Tiel Sagara, The Next Generation
- Tiel may prefer peace, and promote Equilibrium's pacifism, but he is no slacker for combat. When all else fails and it's time to march he can grant Evelyn the essence of Draconic Earth, Wind, and Fire, giving Evelyn the ability to hover with Wind and push people back

The shield seems to protect her from the tendril and more black stuff being etched into her skin. The large man's body turned black as the tendril around his neck tried in vain to choke him allowing for Tiel to push it back against the man and the one wrapping around his neck. The explosion from her blade was massive, enveloping both monsters and the man as more inhuman shrieks erupted from the creatures. A small trickle of blood leaking out of Evelyn's ears as the sound pierced her to her soul.

As the smoke cleared the man would still be standing, his skin as black as obsidian but seemingly no worse for the wear. Another eruption of shrieks rippled through the air attacking Eve's senses as the other man that had been fighting five monsters erupted into flame, leaving nothing in his wake except a pile of ash where him and the monsters had been.

The large man to his credit, did not seem phased by the sounds of these creatures or the dead, though he rushed to the pile of ash, kneeling down before it.

[Evelyn Amtrum]

Shiiiiit that was bigger than she thought it would be. Thankfully, the guy didn't seem hurt from the explosion. Her hands went to her ears again, her shout joining the creatures' as they died in the process.

"Fuck!" She could feel something wet against her fingers and pulled her hands away to see blood smeared on them, the screams rattling around inside her skull so hard that it hurt to think. The constant wailing of the dead added to the incoming migraine as she stepped over to the man and pile of ash that she hadn't created.

"Are you okay?"

[Lucifer]

He didn't seem to hear her, or at least he didn't respond to her words as he carefully scooped up the ash that was left behind in his massive hands.

[Evelyn Amtrum]

It didn't take much to see that they two probably knew each other well. She conjured up a container with a lid that would seal, created from a construct of her own qi and opening it, moving it under the massive hands that cradled the ashen remains.

"Here," she said gently. At least they wouldn't be trampled or blown away, this way, and it would be more durable than some vial or something that may have survived whatever happened earlier.

Golem would look to her with a look of surprise before nodding, letting the ashes fall in the container to be sealed up.

"THANK YOU!"

He'd yell at her as only someone not knowing how loud they were being did.
