She shot a sharp finger at Julius. “Shut it! You want to prove him wrong be sure that she stays away. This isn’t about your pride as a meta so don’t try and use me to meet your agenda!” Avice barked telling Julius to hold back Adelaide should she decide to get too close when or if things got ugly and frankly she didn’t want him to get in her way either.
With that in mind and hopefully taken care of she turned back to this big head before her. “They are not “My people” and I’m not interested in doing them any favors. You can’t hold their safety or security over my head, if you can’t stop me you’d have no hope in doing anything with them anyway. So I’ll ask one more time... if I decide to tear through this line do you think you can stop me and if you can what are you supposed to do about it?”

"You can use all the pretty separation words that you want. Say they aren't your people. You can scream it to the world if you want to. But all people are going to see is a Meta woman attacked TSI personnel that were just doing their job. All people are going to take from this incident is that Metas really are violent and can't be trusted. It doesn't matter if you don't consider yourself one of them. The rest of the world does."
He would shake his head.
"I can stop you. I saw you fight alongside my commander during the attack, if that's all you have to offer, then I can stop you, and even if I don't you will find it impossible to leave."
He would point behind him.
"We have... acquired the ability to drain you of what your people call 'Qi' IF you made it past me and my men you would only find yourself ensnared in a trap where you would be drained of your Qi until you returned inside or died. There is no way around it."

Shiloh turned to grab ahold of Julius's arm, giving a firm shake of her head. She was still learning to be proud of who she was, but the truth of the matter was simple: this wasn't how she would show her pride.

Julius wanted to bark something back at Avice, but he couldn't find the words. Shiloh taking his arm also put a pause on his mind.
Then what the man said amped his thoughts up again. Something that could drain Qi? It brought him back to what he learned in Aedria; there should be no way to tamper with one's inner magic, for it comes from their very spirit. Their soul. And the soul had its own protective barrier, a force that kept other mages from manipulating ones own body or soul. To drain the power meant to bypass that barrier and drain the soul itself. How could anyone, much less a machine, do such a thing?

Her voice was now low but still full of venom. “That answer is more like it. Believe it or not thanks to my abilities I can tell you are not lying.” She grinned. “What do you care of what the rest of this world thinks of me or any meta? I need to see where I stand in this world and where I need to go. Since you are so concerned, how would you have me proceed from here?”

He would eyeball Avice and Lucien.
"-cause trouble and scare the people of this world. Then we will be ordered to... remove the Meta thread from this world. Then it will become a genocidal witch hunt, and I'm quite positive that for as many of you that are pieces of shit, there are just as many kind hearted individuals."
Shiloh couldn't be sure but she might say that for a moment it look liked Haku glanced at her and back to Avice when he said that last line.

Shiloh balled her hands into little fists for a moment, before shaking her head.
"This has devolved into threats. Hasn't it all escalated enough?" She glanced between Avice and Haku for a moment, before turning to look at Julius. She wanted to help calm the situation as quickly as she could, do whatever would help, just do something...
And then, it occurred to her, rather suddenly, that Haku had looked at her. She froze, her entire body tensing for a moment. Haku was a TSI agent... She turned her gaze to him for a moment, her heart beating wildly in her chest. Did he know?

Julius caught Shiloh's gaze, and turned to Avice. "Shiloh's right. Let's regroup. I hate being controlled and threatened just as much as the next guy but I also hate losing. And as much as I hate to say it, we would lose if we tried anything here and now."

Well Julius was useless as Shiloh approached her and Haku she decided to grab the woman’s hand and start off. “You might be right. Another day to you sir.” Avice came to find information and she got it. It wasn’t about a fight though she was prepared to make one to get that information. Haku did well enough to her curiosity that she would take it and go. She did see his gaze to Shiloh whether or not. He knew even more than just what she was being told. These men were not to be trifled with... yet.
With Qi draining abilities and equipment of some kind the really could bring an end and cure this place of all meta. She could sense that. She could conclude it was her first obstacle on her path. A path that started to turn into opposing those who would subdue her for any reason or means.

Shiloh wrapped her fingers around Avice's, letting out a sigh of relief. She wasn't entirely certain if she was the one who had defused the situation, but she was glad that it seemed to calm down. She looked between Avice and Julius for a moment, trying to lead them away from the TSI agents.
"Let's go this way... Come on, we can talk over here?"

“I was sizing them up. This wasn’t about picking a fight it was about if it was worth picking the fight.” She folded her arms. “My senses are sharper than most and my instinct is as fine tuned as an instrument. I knew if I were to fight that man as he said I’d be obliterated. Plus I found they have Qi sucking mechanisms and personally I don’t want to chance my life against those without having a defense to do so. I came for knowledge and I got it, they ate my provocation right out of my palm.”

Julius mimicked Avice in folding his arms. "So can we get a group together then? Form some kind of organization to take these guys down? We can focus on taking out the weapons first," he pondered aloud with a tone eager for violence, gazing at the border set-up.
