"So, talk to him. Just don't clam up or try to explode on him. Actually sit down and tell him what is going on, and that you are worried you're going to chase her away with all of this. If he cares about you both, he'll understand."
Leif really couldn't understand why they were making such a big deal about all of this. It seemed simple to her. Then again, things like this had seemed like the end of the world, back when she was a teenager... so maybe they were younger than she realized.

WR sighed. She was right, absolutely, they just... REALLY hated talking to Drake. They didn't have anything against him, but he consistently rubbed them the wrong way, and at this point they weren't sure if it was intentional or not.
But, it was inevitable. Either way they went at it, there was going to be fire.
They sighed again, and cut their eyes at her. She was one of those level headed types, someone who had let her experiences shape her into stone. She reminded them of someone... someone they resented.
"Yeah, thanks." They muttered, jumping to their feet and popping the collar of their jacket.
"Anything else?"

She shook her head, looking at WR as they jumped up. She offered them the ghost of a smile, something that could have once been beautiful across her face... but had long since fled. She turned her gaze back out over the ocean waves.
"I'd like to take that fire on, one day. Maybe when we're both a little less likely to actually try to kill each other."

"I'll try to kill you either way,"
They flashed a glare back at her, then grinned.
"Later, Stone."
They waved her off with a flick of their fingers and headed up the hills.
