Gidget nodded thoughtfully. That made sense, she supposed.
"I've never... been in a relationship before. The closest I think I ever came was in grade school, when I kept pulling this girl's pigtails because I thought she was pretty. I used to pull kind of mean pranks on her to try to get her to notice me, but any time anyone else was mean to her... I'd try to beat them up."
She chuckled at the memory, giving a shake of her head.
"She grew up to be probably the nicest girl I ever met. She used to bring me cookies on Valentine's Day, because nobody else would. I'd tell her I didn't like cookies, but I always ate them when I got home. I'm pretty sure she knew, too."

WR smiled as they painted the picture in their head.
"Cute. Honestly, relationships are overrated until you find the right person. I learned that the hard way."
They winked at her.

Gidget's cheeks flushed at that, and she couldn't help but smile a bit.

They shrugged.
"Usually respect what my partner wants, but yeah, sometimes."

"You know, it's weird to imagine. You seem like the kind of person that doesn't really like to be touched, much."
She spoke softly, contemplating what they said and what, exactly, they might mean by that.

WR exhaled sharply as memories, bad memories, came flooding back.
They hesitated a moment while they gathered their thoughts.
"I don't, in most cases I cringe when someone reaches at me, but I try not to let experiences with bad people dictate experiences with good ones. So, that being said, for most people a hug is rare from me. It's different for you."

Gidget nodded again, slowly.
"Will you tell me if my touch isn't... wanted, in that moment? Like, I'll try to keep it in mind so I don't take personal offense, but if you're not in a mood to be touched, will you let me know?"

WR smiled over to her.
"Your touch is always wanted, but promise."
Their smile turned to a grin as they realized how cliché that sounded. They were getting good at being cringe.
"I got plenty more cliché things to say up my sleeve, too, so try me."

A grin crossed her face once more as she turned to look at WR. She shifted in the seat slightly so that her back was pressed up against the window, so she could rest her leg a bit on the center console, allowing her face them better.
"Alright. Sure. How fast do you like to move in a relationship? Like, not based on me, really. But based on just you. What is YOUR personal preference?"

They grinned and shifted in their seat slightly.
"You're really asking the person nicknamed Speed Demon how fast they like to go, in ANYTHING?"

They shrugged.
