Leif couldn't help but smile slightly. She glanced over at the girl - Yanmei, she told herself, though she was sure to forget that name in minutes - and gave a slight shake of her head.
"At least she didn't try to stab him?" she said, as a light jab at herself.

Cillian doesn't say anything, but he does take another harder look at Yanmei, glancing between her and Katsu. He wondered if it was something like he had found and bonded with his, or if the fates had bound the two of them together in another way. But no matter how it happened, it was surprising to see someone from 63 bind themselves so to one such as her.
Things were making more sense.
