Once upon a 125

[Detective]

Upon traveling in some direction or another, Pride and Joy find themselves in a forest! There doesn't seem to be any sign of damage here...like the calamity missed it.

[Joy]

"Weird." But nice. Joy looked over the forest, more alive than it should have been. It felt like a small taste of home.

[Pride]

Pride takes a deep breath to inhale the forest air, tilting his head to listen for something.

"I like it."

[Detective]

It seems pretty run of the mill! Looks, smells and sounds like your typical forest. There's birds. There's bugs. There's a river.

There's the splooshing nearby of perhaps someone spear-fishing.

[Pride]

Well that was something to take note of!

Pride goes to look at the closest bug! Leaning in REAAAAAAAAAL close so his nose almost boops it.

[Joy]

"Me too." It's the closest Joy's been to smiling in years. She wondered if they could just make a home, here, instead.

"Sounds like there are people here, too." Joy crosses her arms over her chest, letting Pride investigate his little bug friend first.

[Detective]

The june bug does dumbass bug shit and flies for his nostril, trying to get it's dumb bug body inhaled. He's pretty fat though.

Is it even June??? What is that bug doing.

Anyway, the splooshing continues but who even cares? It's not a bug.

[Pride]

When the bug goes and tries to get up Pride's nose he'd place a finger on his other nostril and snort to send it shooting out. What fun.

"We can check it out if you want."

[Joy]

"Yes." She nods as the bug is sent flying in whatever sad direction it ended up it. Uncrossing her arms, Joy decides to lead the way on this one.

[Detective]

The bug shoots out like a bullet. There's an audible noise from its body smacking into something. Might be the ground. Might be a tree. Either way it got what it deserved.

As they focus on less important matters, Joy and Pride come up to a small clearing where a polite looking gent is spear-fishing with a stick!

"Eck!!" they say, stabbing into the river.

[Pride]

"Oh he seems friendly!"

Pride would say nudging Joy.

[Joy]

"So far." Joy agrees, but is also paying attention to the man's fishing technique! And if he catches anything.

[Detective]

The person pulls out his spear and there are TWO fish! A twofer! Twofish?

Anyway, he pulls the stick with fish over his head, holding it with both hands and shaking it up and down while making some honking noises.

Perhaps he's celebrating.

[Pride]

Pride holds up both arms and makes the same honking noise to celebrate with him! Because why not, it seemed fun.

[Joy]

Hopefully there's a red and a blue fish!

"Not bad." Joy gives a small clap, once, and a nod.
