She reaches for his chin, lifting it a bit.

"Even if he wasn't, it doesn't mean he's gone."

[Gunslinger]

Daniel looks over at her, and gives a small smile.

"I know."

Of all of them, he was probably the most likely to live, after all.

[Novocaine]

"Someone's bound to find a way back at some point, anyway. We'll seek him out first thing when that happens."

She couldn't say she knew much about it, herself....but with the amount of people unhappy here someone was bound to find a method.

[Gunslinger]

"I know. I'm sure he'll be just waiting for us."

Daniel smiles, nodding!

[Novocaine]

"Wouldn't even doubt it." she smiles back.

[Gunslinger]

"You're too sweet."

Danny shakes his head.

"Here I thought you were the tough one."

[Novocaine]

"I am. That doesn't mean I can't be sweet to some people." she says, sounding indignant!

[Gunslinger]

"Well, I'm happy I get to see that hidden side of you."

Daniel grins, rubbing her thigh.

"I honestly don't know how I'd have gotten through this new world without you."

[Novocaine]

"You're tougher than you give yourself credit for, Danny." she laughs.

"I know you were always kinda the runt, but you've held your own this whole time."

[Gunslinger]

"Hey, I can't be the runt. Wistie's smaller than me."

He almost pouts at the idea.

"But I appreciate the sentiment."

Daniel winks.

"After all, that's high praise coming from you."

[Novocaine]

"I'm just saying." she shrugs.

"You were given way more challenges than the rest of us and you're still in the same league."

[Gunslinger]

"Challenges."

He nods.

"I guess that's a way to put it..."

It's still a little bit of a touchy subject for him, even though he knows she means it well.

[Novocaine]

"How would you?"

She's not trying to be insensitive. Just...curious about how he feels about it.

[Gunslinger]

"I guess I'd say... more like.. not blessed."

He shrugs.

"If that makes sense."

[Novocaine]

"Aw, come on. That makes it sound like someone decided 'nah not this one'."
