It'd be only a count of 7 before the chain would fall slack and Asta would look at it confused.
"That's never-"
He'd be cut off by the portal it was coming out of expanding, the chain wrapping Asta's right arm quickly as he fell to his knee's trying to scream, but could not. He held his right arm out, seemingly involuntarily gripping it with his left hand to try and hold it together, before it froze, particles of ice covering it before a howl could be heard, a white shadowy mass would blast from the arm flying directly at Elias!

A flowing sphere of wind surrounds Elias as he watches the blast head towards him, intent on shielding him from the impact!
"Eight."
Elias keeps counting.

Rose just hops from one foot to another in panic, but ultimately stays near Asta.
She didn't know it was gonna happen LIKE THAT.

The shadow reflects off the shield and howls in rage, before the white smoke clears as it stand near by, connected to the kids arm by a trail of energy. Asta seems to have passed out from pain at this point, but still alive. The Creature steps a few times looking around, snarling and baring it's fangs as an intimidation tactic. Still mostly attracted to trying to eat Elias it opens it's mouth as a blue energy gathers, obviously from training Elias would recognize this as a mouth blast Leon would also use at very close range. |

Elias sprints directly for the creature, pushing himself as fast as he can, before suddenly veering to the side at the last second, looking to dodge the incoming blast while simultaneously punching it in the side of the head.

Rose squats next to the boy, placing a hand on him to mostly make sure he's remains still alive, but, her attention is on the fight!

The beam is blasted to the side as the strike turns the creature's head! The beam strikes the land causing an eruptions of dirt, debris, and spears of ice from the ground. Elias would be able to feel the sudden drop in temperature.
I'd say as a hint, it's best not to tough that thing unless you are using Qi.
Rose would not his skin felt ice cold, but her was alive. The temperature was also dropping at an alarming rate around her.
The beast would swirl around after the blast and reach out with it's snout to try and chomp Elias in a single gobble!

Elias frowns in annoyance, even as he takes his advice. He leans back while summoning his blade, not wanting to get immediately chomped, before swinging the flat side of his sword into the creature's face.
"I said heel. Don't push it, mutt."
He's dealt with dogs before. Kind of.

When the chomp misses and Elias redirects it's face with another smack it jets out in that direction turning to the while cloud once more growing in size to about the size of a school buss streaking through the sky before hurling its self as white and blue fire at Elias once again. Mouth a gape and at full power, doesn't like Elias's tone or maybe being hit twice.

Rose would fine that as she tried to cover the boy with her body, his arm was covered in icicles and it was growing now passed his shoulder!
