New Toys (Katsu/Yanmei)

[Sage Sudeki]

"They are nice people, with heart. I didn't sense or feel hatred from their gaze. Their aura's looked free of bloodlust and I could not find fault with the views they shared on peace and life."

He'd go a little deeper into how he felt about it, but that was the extent for now.

"We won't really know for sure until we discuss it as a group."

[Qi Yanmei]

"I'll judge 'em real hard!" she nods.

And by that she'll probably just vote for Brianna because she's a girl.

But who knows.

[Katsu]

Katsu nods as well.

"I cannot commit to following someone until I know them. A short meeting at the beach isn't enough."

[Sage Sudeki]

Spike would chuckle at both responses.

"Fair enough! Well, do you guys want to head to my warehouse and try out the new weapons?"

[Qi Yanmei]

"I do!" she smiles excitedly, before the look suddenly disappears as she glances towards Katsu.

"He's probably too tired. You should leave him."

[Katsu]

Katsu opens his mouth, then shuts it, frowning.

"...I'll stay here..."

[Sage Sudeki]

Sage is... Uncomfortable? He isn't quite sure, but there is some tension in the air. He wasn't sure if he should get involved, but he would raise a brow and say.

"Maybe we can tire the monster out as well with the practice?"

He'd offer, giving another chance.

[Qi Yanmei]

Yanmei pouts, but, shrugs.

"May as well try it."

[Katsu]

Katsu sighs again, but nods.

"...alright. We can try. But I don't know if he'll come out just because I ask."

[Sage Sudeki]

Oof, this was going to be a whole day. Hopefully this didn;t end up biting everyone in the ass.

Either way he would lead the way to the car where a driver was waiting. The vehicle was large enough to hold them and their weapons with some extra room in the back. Spike scratched the back of his neck.

"Old habits die hard. My countrymen still treat me like the new Emperor of Lightning Country."

[Qi Yanmei]

Yanmei's fascinated with vehicles still, so she's just climbing over seats and getting into everything. Like a cat or something.

"Well they should. You're important, right?"

[Katsu]

Katsu places his weapon in the back, and looks back, frowning slightly.

"I'm sure it's awkward, sometimes. I wouldn't know what to do with people fussing on me."

He admits honestly.

[Sage Sudeki]

"I'm not important here. I'm just a person. Not everyone can accept that. My country doesn't even exist anymore."

The driver is nervous about Yanmei climbing all over the place, but tries his best to keep a smile as they drive to the warehouse. Once there the Driver opens the door for everyone to get out.

[Qi Yanmei]

"Well maybe no one wants to admit it's all completely gone. Is it bad to want to hold on to familiar things?" she'd ask as she floated out of the car.

She wasn't giving Katsu attitude anymore, or avoiding eye-contact with him so maybe she'd calmed down a little.

[Katsu]

"They probably look up to you, still. Even in a place as different as this."

Katsu isn't going to push his luck yet, but he does give Yanmei a small smile at one point.
