New Toys (Katsu/Yanmei)

[Sage Sudeki]

Spike was leaving his apartment carrying two bundles wrapped in cloth. One was particularly long while the other was just a bit bulky. He headed for Katsu's place to see give them their new gifts.

He had other reasons for approaching them with these, but he didn't suspect there would be much of an issue, they seemed like good people.

[Qi Yanmei]

Yanmei would answer the door, in her normal form for once, wings and all, since she was home.

Her eyes light up at the sight of Sage.

"Oh! Well look who it is~!"

She backs away from the door, then suddenly starts shrieking.

"KACCHAAAAAN OUR PRESEEEEENTS! HE CAME THROUGH FOR US LIKE I BELIEVED. WHAT A GUY. CAN WE KEEP HIM~?"

[Katsu]

It takes a good ten seconds before Katsu walks around the corner towards the door, looking haggard and half asleep.

"What. Oh. Hey."

He steps up to the doorframe, making sure it's open all the way.

"Did you want to come in? Sorry. I've been having a hard time sleeping, lately."

Because there's a beast that screams in his head occasionally, now.

[Sage Sudeki]

Spike wasn't expecting the look from Yanmei, but honestly he had no idea what to expect. Though when invited in he would thank Yanmei and enter, though when he saw how haggard Katsu appeared he furrowed his brow in a stitch of concern.

"Issues sleeping... Have anything to do with portals, chains, and odd monster dogs?"

He would place down the smaller wrapped items and stand up the longer one so he didn't carry it himself.

[Qi Yanmei]

"I've tried singing them to sleep but the both of them are so rude." Yanmei pouts before realizing he was talking about those dogs.

"Yeah! And a man with white hair that wanted to eat me!"

[Katsu]

"It seems so."

Katsu agrees, wiping his eyes.

"It doesn't enjoy your singing, Mei-Mei. And... I'm sorry to say, you need to practice a little more."

With as much love as possible.

[Sage Sudeki]

Spike would nod kind of understanding, but also not. He wasn't used to someone being referred to as two people. Or things...

"Oh, I think I've heard of this! Some people from Aurora are born fused to some spirit or being that resembles a powerful and giant monster. Does it communicate somehow?"

Spike was now rather interested in Katsu and the Aurora powers forgetting about the weapons he spent a few days forging out of rare Qi Crystals.

[Qi Yanmei]

Yanmei isn't at all interested in the rest of this conversation, gasping audibly at Katsu's words. She looks terribly hurt, floating over to be closer to Sage instead.

For now she doesn't say anything, letting them figure this all out.

[Katsu]

Katsu lets out a long sigh.

"I'm sorry, Mei-Mei. I didn't mean it. I love to hear you sing. Which is why you should practice more, so I can hear it."

He gives her a small smile, then looks at Spike.

"It hasn't said a word, just constant screaming and roaring. I tried to ask it something before, and it got really mad. I'm just... letting it scream itself out, a bit."

Like a baby.

[Sage Sudeki]

"Would you mind if I try to see if my Visual ability can see it?"

Spike did however turn slightly and saw Yanmei seemed a bit... Perturbed by Katsu's slight admission to the way she sounds. Then he suddenly remembered why he actually showed up. He would lean the seven foot long wrapped object on the wall before reaching over to grab the smaller wrapped objects and unwrapping them. Dual daggers in sheaths and he would turn to Yanmei.

"Here you go. I know you are more of a supporter, and I can't imagine Katsu would want you in the front lines, so I made these for you to defend yourself as well as to throw them."

Spike would toss unsheathe one of the daggers and toss it to the side reaching towards the sheath as another dagger appeared. The one he tossed to the side would fly around on it's own and once he pulled the copy dagger out the one flying around would return to the sheath.

"If you hit someone with the dagger they will shoot lasers at the person before returning to you. The copy's will fall apart and disintegrate once you use them."

He'd hold them out for Yanmei to take.

[Qi Yanmei]

Yanmei turns her head away from Katsu with a huff, not accepting his apology.

She smiles again when Spike shows her the weapons.

"Oh myyy! I love it! I'm going to have to practice, though. You should help me learn how to use them sometime!"

[Katsu]

"You are more than welcome to."

Katsu nods to Spike, before watching Yanmei.

She... she wanted to learn about blades from someone else..

[Sage Sudeki]

Spike would smile and nod at Yanmei.

"Sure, that would be fun."

Not knowing the reality of that situation he agreed, however turned towards Katsu and the whites of his eyes would turn black and his blue eyes would be overtaken by the gold of the Seikatsugan as Qi flooded his ocular senses. Seeing the life aura seeping off Yanmei and Katsu he could make out the third Aura, but due to GM ruling he would have to wait until he unlocked the Tier 2 of his Seikatsugan before seeing more than that.

"Guess my visual powers aren't strong enough."

He'd shrug and his eyes would return to normal before he grabbed the large one and unwrapped the cloth around it. Revealing the seven foot long blade and two handed grip handle.

"This Nodachi has some peculiar traits of it's own. Once you do damage to something the blade feeds on that damage and is capable of releasing that energy in a blade beam slash. As well anything you block with it is repelled with all of your might no matter even if you only barely tap the attacking thing, opening them up for a counter... Hopefully."

He would hold the large blade out for Katsu to take.

[Qi Yanmei]

"Yay!"

Yanmei would just happily look at every detail of her daggers, barely giving Katsu's sword a glance.

[Katsu]

Heartbroken, Katsu takes the sword, looking down at it.

"That's alright. Thank you for trying. You've done more than enough."

He lifts the blade, taking care to inspect it.

"It's beautiful. I haven't seen its like ever before."
