"Oh my a genius." she'd giggle some more, happy to take all these compliments. Even though she hadn't given him an actual action plan, she supposes that part was up to him. He seemed capable enough.

She'd have a glance around the place, finding it endearing that little old ladies knew him. Maybe he was a charming stud to the senior ladies. Adorable.

At the offered seat, she'd happily take it.

"Qi Yanmei. Who are you, you golden girl Casanova?"

"Ah, Qi Yanmei, Huh~?" He spoke, before slowly pushing her seat closer to a little table decoration, before moving his way over to the back where he took a piece of his handkerchief and cut it off before decorating the table.

"Quite a name to be charmed by, I will probably incapable of forgetting it after today, But you may call me Atlas, Atlas Steele, your humble servant for today." As he would smile tenderly.

"Do you happen to have a favorite in the candy world, or would you like for your world to be toppled, like you have mine?" He spoke in a humble tone, bowing before her as he would appreciate her going along with his antics.

"Atlaaaaas. Are you flirting with me?" she'd ask playfully.

What a decorated way of speaking! It amused her enough that she forgot to answer the question about the candy.

Taken aback by her question, Atlas would raise the back of his palm to his mouth, audibly gasping as he took four steps backwards.
Reeling his body backwards, as he would take a moment to let his reaction sink in before stepping forwards as he would have snuck a muffin from the shelf behind him and placed a bit of money in its place for the old lady he once had the luxury to meet.

"Honestly, With somebody as sweet as this muffin." He spoke, Spinning it on the table and getting it close enough that she could start eating the molten chocolate core muffin with its sweet vanilla outer layer, it seems that the Baker herself had managed to decorate it with little flowers out of confectionary chocolate instead of unnecessary icing.

"I wouldn't even dream of having any luck, but in my fifty-seven years, I have not seen somebody as heart-stopping as you." As his face was mostly hidden behind his mask, his tender smile was still visible as he seemed to be genuine in his efforts.

"Oh myyy, what shall I do?" she'd ask with an exaggerated sigh.

Her eyes would shift to the muffin he offered, really taking in the amount of sugar that was packed into that thing. Is it possible that even she had a limit as to how much sweetness she could handle?

Never.

"You're teasing, aren't you? That would be so very mean."

Despite the words she still sounded amused.

"Can you blame me, Imagine being shellshocked when an angel from heaven itself descends and gives you a new lease on life." Before leaning back into his own seat, smiling contently before moving to lower his own palm, showing a few marble-like milk candies as he rolled them onto the table, as they were meant to be eaten en masse by kids.

"If these small treats I've been showering you in could repay my debt to you in any method, I would lay my life aside for you, dear little Qi." He commented, before sneaking one of the candies he had gotten from the counter into his own mouth, enjoying the slight tinge of milk candies, enjoying their complex flavour when they were made by a professional~

Yanmei finally starts to eat some of the things he's brought her, swinging side to side in delight as he continues his proclamations. She seemed to enjoy them!

"Truthfully there's no real need for you to lay your life for me. I believe I'm supposed to do that for humans, now. Be a defender of the peace."

She...she might not fully understand what she signed up for a while ago.

Surprised that somebody was willing to call for himself to be a defender of peace, he would audibly gasp upon realizing that she suggested that she was one to defend people instead.

"Oh? Truly, you are meant to put yourself down for people? The princess of protection? Who declared such noble goal?" He asked, in a pleading tone while wearing a small toy as a helmet before bowing towards her, as he would look around the glass showcase to see what he would offer to the little fairy as a treat in a moment.

Knowing that she had a few more on the table to indulge herself into, he didn't want to take too long in the end, as he would grab a few slices of chocolate swiss roll with vanilla insides before serving it up.

Yanmei doesn't answer him immediately, nibbling away at the muffin as if she meant to savour every bite.

It was probably okay to tell him. He seemed nice enough.

"Hmm, it was Sage's idea. But he doesn't want to be the leader. Even though he's the one picking all the members."

She didn't really get it.

[Atlas Steele]

Seeing that he had bought enough time with her nibbling on the muffin, Atlas would sit down on the chair that was located on the other side of the table before giving a quick look around to see that nobody else was nearby before pondering.

"Sage? Blonde guy, talks like he is from an important company?" He asked, having gotten quite interested in this bit of information.

She’s not sure about the latter but most of it checked out.

“Mhm, that’s him!”

[Atlas Steele]

Leaning backward, he would sigh contently for a moment upon realizing who it was with the corners of his mouth turned down as he seemed to remember something dark to himself before quietly coughing...

"Yeah, He was an interesting kid, rushing into that fight when I met him, it wasn't something I had thought of when a person came down from the sky itself through a rift, seemingly from another world..."

Atlas his hand starting to tremble as he remembered the darker parts of that day, the things he still hadn't gotten over as he would swallow deeply, quietly grimacing at the fact that this happened...

Yanmei tilts her head when she notes his demeanor changed. She could tell he was troubled by something, presumably whatever happened with Sage. She'd give him a quiet moment to sort through his feelings, finishing her treat before deciding to pipe up again.

"A rift, you say? What happened?"

[Atlas Steele]

"There is this... Otherworld that people came from, and I've always done my best to be a punching bag, to help take hits for the people of this world as a wrestler, even going as far to jump in front of cars that come speeding by to save kids." As Atlas would raise up his t-shirt, to show a few old yet healed scars that had plastered themselves on his side.

"But, when this rift opened up, we rescued a man that needed a fix me upper, some kind of 'betraying' group that was trying to get free from an army, and then we were forced to fight a soldier, two soldiers.
It took us five people to defeat one single rabbit human mix, and instead of being able to defend my friends and keep their spirits up, I accidentally helped in taking her life and haven't been able to comprehend it since..." As Atlas would take a moment to try and calm his own breathing, as he would remember the nightmares...

"Sorry, Sorry, I shouldn't say these things, I was here to make this a good day for you, to be a gentleman. Let me help you get a nice meal and have an enjoyable day without worrying about the ramblings of an old man!" As he would smile once again, yet it was obvious at this point that he was exhausted and emotionally still not right, yet he kept moving on.

Yanmei would look a bit somber at the mention of another world. A place she missed dearly. To think someone could show up from there now? Or...perhaps it was another world entirely separate from her own. Who knows? She wasn't there.

"I don't think you should ignore yourself for my sake." Yanmei would say with a shrug.

"If it makes you feel better to talk about it, you should. Taking a life is surely something that takes a toll on humans."

Not that she took any pleasure in such things either, but, living a vagabond lifestyle meant killing to survive. She was used to it, if only from seeing it rather than executing it.
