Twice...it was now twice that Chi would help him in his most desperate of moments. The last time he was wounded physically, this time mentally. Well...in a different way than being schizo. To be frank, his confidence was gone. It was odd though, something in him reacted in a split second when a student pushed her forward. Despite how messed up he was feeling, he still wanted to help her. It wasn't needed though, as he was able to catch herself.
When she offered to help get him out of there, he accepted. It annoyed him a little bit that he was in such a needy position again. Though he didn't have the will to dwell on the thought to long. He'd follow Chi wherever she wanted to go.

Casting a look in either direction down the hallway, she thought of the best way to get out. She'd just come from the left, and that way only led deeper into the school. To the right seemed a little less busy, but students were still running around and causing general chaos.
"This way. C'mon."
She said, her expression brighter as she took her friend by the hand and ledhim down the right hallway, there was a door around the corner they could exit. She hoped he didn't mind her taking his hand, but she didn't want them to get separated as they made their way through the throng of frenzied students. Once or twice she elbowed one of them as they knocked into her. As they were passing a fight between two students, the burlier one threw the other in their direction, the kid flying right into them. Chi yelled out in surprise, dropping Aureus' hand as she fell when the kid fell into her.

The dark haired boy had no problem following Chi. Mostly he was just happy not to be alone anymore. Although he was in a hallway filled with crazy, revolting, students he felt so isolated. It was sort of hard for them to get through with all the kids fighting and smashing shit, but they were doing alright. That was until a boy decided to throw another student into them.
Unfortunately, because Chi was in front, she took most of the impact. For a moment Aureus wasn't sure what happened, but after that his awareness of the situation kicked into overtime. Pushing himself to his feet, the Freshmen pulled the downed student off of Chi. After that, he turned to face the thrower. Anyone who looked could see a fire in his eyes like never before.
"You..." He growled quietly. In the next moment he was speeding towards the large boy. As expected, the student saw him coming and attempted to throw a simple, high punch. Aureus saw it from a mile away and dropped into a semi-crouch before he was in attacking range. His right elbow than extended with his left hand holding his right to bolster the extremity. As planned it found it's mark right in the boy's sternum. The schizo even though he heard a crack. Even so, he wasn't done yet. While the student was railing from being winded, Aureus sprang upwards sending an uppercut to his chin. The Sophomore flew backwards and smashed into a locker. Walking to his motionless opponent, the Pillar picked him up by the collar and tossed him infront of Chi. "Apologize." He commanded harshly.

One moment she was walking, the next she was on the ground, a great weight holding her down. The next the body was off her, and she sat up, coughing as the air returned to her lungs. All she could so was stare as Aureus attacked the kid that threw the other kid, her jaw fallen. She had never seen him so angry, even when he was defending Max against the ruffians a few days prior. He threw the boy at her feet and ordered him to appologize. The boy sputtered, staring at her with wide watering eyes as he stammered out an appology. Chi was speechless, dark brown eyes staring from the boy in front of her to Aureus and back again. Finally she was able to muster a 'S'alright' before climbing shakily back to her feet. She dusted her skirt off before her gaze found Aureus again.
"L-let's get out of here."
She repeated, though though she was still a bit shaken up. The sooner they got out of this insanity, the better.

After the Sophomore had coughed his apology, Aureus lightly stomped on his back and leaned down so he could whisper to the boy. "If I catch you putting your hands on anyone else again, I'll break them off." He threatened coldly. The schizo was done giving people the benefit of the doubt. Students would follow the rules, or be broken. It was the only thing they understood, and the Freshmen didn't have the time or respect to go through every trouble maker and show them the error of their ways. This wasn't some talk show you saw on daytime tv where the host would send the person on a trip to see how messed up what they were doing was.
Hearing Chi's voice the Pillar rose to his feet and followed her down the hall. Not long ago there had been an announcement detailing the consequences of failing the evaluations. This had caused most of the students to go back to class. Sure, there were still a few out, but Aureus didn't have the time to go through and deal with them one by one. The teachers could do that.

The door, it only a few feet away. Walking up to it, she pushed it open, stepping out into the fresh sunlight. As she did so, a wave of relief fell over the girl, it was so much different compared to the chaos within the school. She took about five or so steps from the door, pausing and turning around to wait for her friend. She gathered her long dakr hair up in her hands, wringing it out, water falling onto the grass. She was soaked from the sprinkler system, and her goreous straight hair had turned into a black wet curtain, clinging to her shoulders and back. Throwing her hair back over her shoulder, she let out a deep sigh and cast one look back at the door as if to shed the entire experience from her being.

OoC: This'll be my last post in this thread, sorry.
"The sinks..." Max rushed for the ladies' restroom and got in just in time to experience first-hand what she had done, she felt some water splash onto her toes from the floor and it burst onto her clothes from the spouts.
Max ran over and stopped them, sighing as she then fell onto her knees in the small puddle. Sighing as she brushed the hair out of her face and stood up, wiping her hands. "Can't do it..." She guessed that the reason why she had never been bad in her life was because she wasn't, she couldn't be.
Max ran, ran through the halls, ran past the students, ran past the evaluator, ran past -- Chi? Aureus? -- she only had a quick second glance of them before she smacked into the doors and they flew open and she ran out and began to flee...just flee from the school. Just leave. Just...

Finally. Finally they had gotten out of the insanity known as PHS 259. It was nice being under the sun, feeling the breeze, and enjoying the fresh air. Even so, Aureus still felt off. His blood was still boiling from the student that had attacked Chi, not to mention the rest of the idiots causing random destruction. And ontop of that he still felt like giving up on it all. Deep down he knew he couldn't give up on the school, but that was deep down. He was confused, stressed, angry, and just wanted to stop existing for a while.
Drops of water fell from his hair with each step he took, landing on the lush grass only to evaporate moments later. Seeing Chi wring her hair out, he realized how annoying being wet was. With that in mind, he looked downwards and shook his head a bit sending water flying in all directions. "Fuck...it's insane in there..." He said with anger still in his voice.

Despite the fact that she was about as wet as he was, Chi squealed a bit, leaning away from Aureus as a few drops of water were sent her way.
"He-hey stop that!"
She grinned, miming shaking her arms off as if it were he the one who'd drenched her and not the sprinklers. With his hair all wet like that he would have looked kind of cute, would of being the operative word because Chihiro Amuri found no one cute, as she would never get close enough to anyone to even think that. Ever. Or would she? Getting close to people got people hurt, always, no exceptions. She was even surprised that she and Aureus had as close as they had, but he was an exception she guessed. They'd been through quite a lot in such a short time, but that didn't mean she was about to throw away her entire standing on people and relationships and fall head over heels...she didn't do that. She couldn't.
"Y'alright?"
She asked casually, as he seemed to still be looking a bit down.

Even with the shitty mood he was in, hearing Chi squeal made Aureus chuckle a bit. Oddly enough, she had been one of the only things to make him happy lately. She had done so much for him. He felt like he owed her a bit too. Just like he owed Sean still. The boy had saved him once in the girl's locker room, and again in Algebra class. Even though it didn't seem like it, there were still good people at the school. It was hard finding them with all the wastes of life running around though. Looking up at the dark haired girl, the schizo replied in a more calm tone than before. "I dunno anymore...I feel like a failure...I'm just so frustrated..." He said offhandedly.

"I dunno anymore...I feel like a failure...I'm just so frustrated..."
Chi's expression fell at Aureus' somber mood. There again with the empathy, Chihiro, you softie! But she ignored the voice in her head for a bit that told her to not get involved. Frowning, she glanced at the ground, then back up at Aureus, her chocolate brown eyes curious in the concerned sort of way. Concerned, she was concerned...that must be a first.
"Why?"
She asked simply, as if she couldn't understand why he would feel that way. She didn't see him as a failure, but then again she hardly knew him. The less she knew the better, said the voice of stubborn reason. But for some reason she didn't quite believe that in this instance. Ehh, confusion.

"I let the school down...I sat there while everyone rioted and did nothing. I should have at least tried to keep order. It's my job as a Pillar..." He said, sounding defeated with every word spoken. However now that they were outside of the school, Aureus felt a bit more at ease. Chi being with him helped as well. Despite how flawed he really was, she didn't seem to care. She was always there to pick him up.

Chi reached out a hand to..she didn't know, patt him on the shoulder, something to comfort him. She decided that she decided that she didn't like it when he was upset like this, because it made her want to make him feel better whatever it took. But she couldn't, she shouldn't. So, in coughing, she lowered her hand, clasping it to her other one to keep from making any more hesitant gestures.
"You saw how it was in there, even the teachers were having a time...there was no way you could have single handedly stopped those students.."
She said, her mind bringing her back to what had happened inside with the kid. Once again she glanced at her feet before speaking.
"And...thanks for....for earlier."

"You haven't told me what you were doing here. What were those pictures for?"
Erika heard the kid again, she hadn't even noticed he had left for a couple of moments, she had taken a few good shots and the guy that was running in the hall didn't stop to do squat all like she guessed he wouldn't of. Gellar sighed, everyone was so eager to know about her. What the hell?! Didn't anyone have their own lives to peek into or something?!
"Um...me. Do you kids have to know everything? I'm innocently taking pictures, ohmigosh!"
She explained.
OOC: Yea, sorry my posts are sucking...

Seeing Chi's hand raise, Aureus watched it closely. Though she pulled it back a moment later. It was weird, she seemed a bit hesitant, but why? He would have spent more time trying to figure that out, but forgot about it when she attempted to verbally console him. "Yea, but at least they're trying. I just sat there...and I'm a Pillar. I'm supposed to protect the school! Not watch it die..." He said still angry about his actions, or lack there of. The girl surprised him when she thanked him for protecting her. "Don't worry about it. I didn't want to see you hurt. And I'm tired of going easy on people. Violence is the only thing some people understand." He said, sad that it was the truth, but firm enough for her to tell he was serious.
