The cafeteria was louder than usual today. Or at least it seemed so to a certain dark haired freshman as she made her way between the tables to the lunchline. She wasn't really all that hungry either, so in grabbing an apple and a bottle of water, Chihiro glanced around before slipping through one of the side doors that led to a little grassy spot outside.
She took off one of her ballet flats and wedged it in the door to keep it partly open, as the door locked on the outside during school hours, and sat down with her back against the stone wall of the building with a sigh. She could still hear the sounds coming from behind the door but it was significantly quieter out here. And a much more beautiful scene to behold, she'd rather stare at the azure horizon than the kid taht chews with their mouth open across form her.
Setting her waterbottle by her side, she bit into her apple, drawing her knees up in front of her comfortably, quietly watching the sky as she ate in peace.

OOC: I'm such a post whore...T_T. But it's not my fault! They say it's a disease. >_>
IC: *sigh* So annoying as usual. Why do people always have to be so loud? Maybe being loud is normal, and you're just the weird one. Heh, Wouldn't be the first time. Aureus thought as he made his way through the cafeteria as fast as possible with his brown paper bagged lunch in hand. As usual it contained a bottle of orange juice and a turkey sub. Every day he ate at the same place, the back, or maybe it was the side, of the school. It all depended on which direction you called the front. Either way, he ate there. Away from everyone else. He simply didn't like to be around people. They were loud, selfish, stupid, and ignorant. Or most of them anyway, and avoiding them when possible made him feel at ease. Maybe you're just afraid they won't accept you. Shutup. We're not going into this again. Well that's why you have me, right? To do everything you can't. Meh, but I'll respect your wishes. I'll pick up your slack, you pick up mine.
Nearing the door, The Freshmen carelessly pushed it open and made his way out. Not noticing the small shoe lodged in it, or that fact that it was easier than usual to open. That's what routine does to you though. Once outside, two things did strike him. The sound of chewing, and a body in the very corner of his peripheral view. "Oh, sorry I didn't realize there was someone else out here." He said in an offhanded tone. Wait why exactly was he apologizing? She's the one that had invaded his space.

((ooc: that's okay, I'm actually a bit of a post whore myself >.>))
Chi's wandering thoughts were jogged back to reality as she heard the familiar sound of the door opening next to her. Chocolate hues looked up, her apple paused halfway to her mouth as she noticed someone else escaping the zoo inside. It was the boy from before, the one in the hallway. Realizing he was appologizing for walking in (or was it out?) on her, she smiled.
"No that's okay. I was just...trying to find some refuge."
She said with a half grin and a laugh, nodding her head at the door, and the ruckus inside. The dark haired girl tilted her head to the side as she looked up at him.
"Care to join me?"
She asked politely. Apparently he seemed to chare their dislike of the chaos, and wouldn't mind the company. Afterall, the last time they met wasn't under the best of circumstances-he had a bloody nose afterall.

Up to this point, Aureus hadn't really gotten a good look at the girl, but when she spoke his memory was pulled back to an event that had occurred only a few days previous. She was the spunky girl from the hallway. And unlike than she seemed...friendly. After turning, his brown eyes fell upon the girl and confirmed his assumption. "Yes, it is a bit...annoying in there." He said in reply to her first statement. Despite the light hearted conversation, his face stayed plain as always.
Just as he was about to excuse himself and find another place to eat, the girl invited him to stay. Considering it for a moment, he came to the conclusion that she wasn't like the other students in the lunchroom. She valued serenity, and that probably hinted at her intelligence. "Sure." He said before taking a seat on the other side of the door and pulling his sub from the bag. It's nice out today...

The girl's smile turned to more of a smirk when he said that the noise in the cafeteria was annoying...how true. Well, at least it was good to know that she wasn't the only one who thought so. She nodded in agreement as she swallowed another bite of her apple.
"Today more than usual, it seems. It's a wonder they all haven't lost they're hearing yet.."
She said with a sigh, the way everyone was going, humanity appeared to be doomed, but that was her personal opinion. It probably explained her manically manipulative approach to people and relationships, she couldn't take anyone seriously because no one was really who they seemed. Take her parents for instance...the dark haired girl sighed, bowing her head forward momentarily until her waist length raven hair fell in front of her face like a curtain and then back up again so that it fell back on her shoulders. A habit she'd developed when she began thinking about thigns she didn't want to, it made her snap out of it somehow. Maybe because besides being a social anamoly, she was easily amused.
Chi turned her dark chocolate gaze on the boy as she sat down on the grass with her. She hadn't really been able to get a good look at him since he had a tissue covering half his face for the most part. He was kind of attractive, in the cool and slightly indifferent sort of way, yet she had learned from experience to not be put off by a pretty face. In fact, she lived by that rule, given her hobby.

"Their idiocy builds up a tolerance to loud noises." The Freshmen commented, amusement evident in his voice this time. After that he took another bite of his turkey and swiss on wheat and continued thinking about the social structure of their school. In reality it wasn't just school, it was everywhere. It was the way things were, and probably had been forever. The notion that there had ever been a civilization in which rational, free thinking dominated seemed as foreign to him as the concept of love. But all in all it wasn't that bad. The intelligent simply avoided the stupid, helped them when it wasn't any trouble in hopes to increase the overall good, and enjoyed their own niche hobbies. After all, a world filled with the intelligent kinda took away it's uniqueness.
Sparing a glance in the dark haired girl's direction, he noticed for one small moment she seemed a bit sad. Unsure and resisting the urge to be nosey, he ignored it. She perked up soon after anyway. Boredom than began to take a small toll on Aureus, so he decided to bring up a different topic. Not that mocking the stupid wasn't fun. "So, you have my name. May I ask yours?"

"Hmm...I can see how utter stupidity could affect one's hearing."
She replied, her tone containing the same amount of humor. Perhaps this guy wasn't as bad as she thought he was at first afterall. She mentally made a note to question the 'first impression' saying, it didn't seem to be that valid in this case. Finishing her apple, Chi reached for her waterbottle, crossing her legs and leaning an elbow on her knee as she looked at him. So, you have my name. May I ask yours? That's right, his name was Aureus, a nice name actually. Different, not like the other John, Dylan, and Paul's out there. In the awkwardness of their last meeting, she hadn't even given him her name. In all honesty, she didn't think she'd see him again, with so many students in the school and everything, it just didn't seem that much of a priority at the time.
"My name's Chihiro."
She said simply, twisting the top of her water bottle, the plastic saftey thing making it's click click click sound as she opened it.

Hmm...that's a unique name. It's nice. Heh, you're one to talk about being unique. I guess you're right, still a nice name though. He thought while swallowing the last bite of his sub and stretching out a bit. "Nice to formally meet you, Miss Chihiro." Aureus said courteously. After that he was just about out of things to say. Needless to say, the Freshmen wasn't exactly the chatty type. Not that he didn't like to, it just wasn't one of his strong points. Of course he could always hand over control to Levi. But than the redhead would hit on her, not to mention creep her out because he had just become a different person. It was pretty easy not to choose that course of action.

Nice to formally meet you, Miss Chihiro.
So he was polite too? Go figure. She had to admit it was quite surprising to hear such courteous formalties from a guy who apparently jumps into fights out of nowhere. But as she thought before, maybe he was a little different, and a bit more complex than she thought at first. She had been wrong before, just...not a lot. She took a sip from her bottle of water, looking out at the scene in front of them. The ground seemed relatively flat where they were sitting, but as they were to look out, the flatness began to give way to soft ripples of green, houses and trees and streets dotting the surface. Eventually these too disappeared as the green hills reached the horizon. A few translucent clouds were scattered along the brilliant azure, but for the most part the sky was clear, with the exception of the sun shining down on them of course.
Taking another sip of her water, she addressed Aureus again, though her gaze was still scanning the horizon casually, as if she were an art connosieur appraising a masterpiece.
"So..do you usually come out here for lunch?"

"Everyday. I prefer to be alone most of the time." He said plainly. If one were to follow the student around for a week they would find just that. Whatever he did, eat, sleep, run, workout, relax, read, he did it all by himself. In addition he was a night person. There was just something about the dark and quietness of it that appealed to him. He did everything better at night. It was the best and easiest time to be alone after all. There was really only one person he enjoyed being around and that was Ashely. He had felt attached to her ever since their first meeting at the orphanage. She reminded him so much of his mother, without the abandonment of course.
Levi on the other hand, hated being alone. As soon as he took control he would always find some way to interact with people. Whether that be a fight, flirting, sports, or just a plain old talk. He loved people, and being around them. He was the exact opposite of Aureus. And for some unknown reason they were able to get along most of the time. They were brothers in the strangest sense.
"What about you? Is this your first day away from the circus?" The Freshmen asked.

A hesitant half-smile graced the features of the dark haired girl. So this was his place, his refuge, and she'd simply helped herself to it. Well, to be perfectly fair, she wasn't aware of this, but she felt kind of bad all the same. She probably wouldn't like it if people began taking over her spot on the beach, granted she only usually visited it at night, but still, if she were to show up one night and find someone already there, she might not like that very much. It took away from the escape feeling, the serenity.
A glance at the freshmen boy told her that he probably didn't mind as much as she thought he would have. He was taking to her afterall, and they both seemed to be aficionados of the more solitary things in life, perhaps he didn't mind. Caught up in her thoughts, she almost missed the question he directed at her. Her first day away from the circus? Not exactly, it was only the first time she'd seeked refuge outside of the building itself. Chi shrugged, twisting and untwisting the top to her water, it was amusing and it gave her something to do.
"Meh, I usually go to the library after lunch, as it's the ultimate place of quiet and a guaranteed idiocy-free zone, but I felt like doing something different today, and I'd always wondered what was on the other side of this door. I didn't realize it was already spoken for.."
That was Chi's version of an apology, as close as she could get. She actually couldn't remember the last time she'd used the word "sorry" ...or "apology" for that matter. It wasn't that she was rude, she just didn't find the need for it. If someone is in complete control of their actions (which, you know, they are), they should be aware of what they are doing and therefore can't be sorry for what they do. They can regret decisions, but is it ever enough for them to change their ways? Most of the time, the answer is 'no, the don't change.' Hence the obsurdity of appologizing, what was the point of doing it if they were only empty words? Exactly.

OOC: Post whores for life, baby IC: Sean was winding his way through the bushes on the outskirts of the school ground, searching for the spot he stashed his bike after an earlier encounter with 3 members of the school's "welcoming commitie." He had packed his lunch in one of the atatched baggs and now he couldn't remember where exactly he had thrown the bike to hide it from prying eyes and greedy fingers. You're too good for your own good some time, you known that? Sean laughed to himself as he shoved some more foliage out of his way, Note to self, bring a machete next time.Finaly, the freshman's hand felt the metal frame of the bike, though it was still obscured from sight. Sean gained a better grip, then yanked it free, sending it flying back out of the bushes in a similar fasion as it had entered. "Finaly," he sighed as he pulled himself back out of the treeline. Several twigs remained stuck in the boy's hair and clothing, and there were several shallow cuts on his face from branches, but the happy-go-lucky expression on his face would diffuse any concern for his well-being. Noticing the pair talking over their meals about 20 yards away, Sean gave a single wave before sitting down cross-legged on the grass and retrieving his own. The peanutbutter and honey sandwhichs were a bit deformed from the day's activities, but still remained intact. Sean didn't wait for a reply from the other two, and did not attempt to listen in on their conversation, he was just hungry. The boy ait quickly, not wasteing any time trying to enjoy the meal. He planned on finding an easier place to secure his bike from thieves before the next class started.

While watching Chihiro, Aureus noticed her smile was a bit half hearted. Naturally he wondered why, but didn't want to impose and ask why. The next thing she said would probably shed some light onto the issue anyway. The question seemed to catch her off guard as well. What's the distraction?
Hmm, so that was it. For someone who seems so distant, she cares about the small things an awful lot. Though that distance is probably just a defense. Even I can admit that. And kinda have to. Of course, 'cause if you didn't I'd remind you. Well your existence is enough for me not to worry about changing. "Yea, the library's nice. And don't worry about it. I don't mind having some company every now and then. Especially someone who shares my understanding." Aureus said with a slight smile. Being alone all the time got a bit old after a while.
Hearing a noise in the distance, the Freshmen looked around to see a boy wandering through the bushes. He seemed to be looking for something, but took the time to wave before continuing on. It was an odd intrusion, but a small one. Being a bit curious, Aureus continued to watch him. Eventually the boy pulled a bike out and then sat down to enjoy his lunch. Feeling a bit thirsty himself, the schizo pulled a bottle of orange juice from his bag and drain a quarter of it in one gulp.

((ooc: good on'ya mate, huzzah for post whoredom ;D))
The young girl's smile regained some of its luster as the boy accepted her presence at his place of refuge, the slight nervousness or misgiving desolving back to a casual expression of contentment. It kinda felt good to be accepted as a person instead of just an attractive female. Though she couldn't exactly say it was completely their fault for thinking so. Maybe she should pick up a new favorite past time. As if there was anything more amusing than to watch a deluded boy's resistance crumble weakly to your charm, hah. Though immensely entertaining, it was probably a bit degrading on her part, but with her general opinion on on society and personal faults, she didn't rightly care.
She took another sip of her water, glancing up just in time to notice a boy rummaging through the hedges, looking for something. She started with surprise, sputtering slightly as she choked on her water. That was the boy from before, with the bike, and the tree, and the three punks, and Hiroko...and just as she thought that, the boy pulled the metal frame of a bike from the foliage. He gave a hearty wave and sat down to enjoy his own lunch. Chi simply stared, a curious frown on her face. Curiouser and curioser.. she thought, quoting a line from Alice in Wonderland.

She's cute, but the other guy's got a better chance than I do, so why interrupt? Sean considered the situation only casually, though there was something familiar about the two, like he'd seen them someplace else. The other boy's frame was nothing out of the ordinary, and his hair and eyes were plain-Jane brown. Nothing really stood out to tell why he seemed so familiar when Sean had not even met anyone around here yet other than the bullies, a couple teachers, and the other trouble maker from the girl's locker-room and algebra.... Ah-ha, thats it, his face looks kind of similar to that red-headed guy, maybe they're brothers or something? Meh, whatever.
The girl was a little bit easier to place. She was one of the few in the crowd this morning who wasn't cheering on the trio, though she also didn't seem to know what was going on either, and was probably just asking for details of the fight. If she's just another reveler, I feel bad for that guy. She might pull some "Defend my honor" bullshit or something. His risk to take though. Sean finished up first sandwich, washing it down with some water from the bottle on his bike.
When Sean glanced over again, he noticed the girl staring at him with a frown on her face. What? Not interested if I'm not getting kicked around a field? Sean silently interpreted the expression, though he only raised an eyebrow in response before continuing his meal with the next sandwich.
