"Haha, I can't win with you, can I?"
"Guess not." Max shrugged, smiling.
"What do you usually do when you skip Algebra? 'Cause right now I'm kinda bored."
Max grinned, embarassed, "When I usually skip Algebra I'm still in the classroom." She chuckled, it was the truth. The only reason why she was on the roof right now was because this was the first time the teachers caught her! It was a pain in the butt, but also a good thing because she was able to interact with Levi a bit more, see the type of person he was. "I'd say the smooth material of a man made him." She thought.
"Let's just...keep talking," Max shrugged as she walked away from the door, she turned to the left and found a spot about eight feet away from Levi on the vent and sat down on the fresh texture of the roof. Patting it with her hands, she felt the little popcorn-ish points poking at her hands, but she smoothered herself slowly onto the roof. Talking, that was what they had been doing for the past few minutes, but Max didn't come up with ideas quickly. If they were at a funpark or something she'd of thought of something in a jiffy, but they were on a flat roof with ducts and venting, nothing else.
"Um...got any siblings?"

"Let's just...keep talking." The girl had said. Levi didn't really have a problem with that, it was just that he couldn't think of anything interesting to say at the time. "Sure." He replied before hearing her next question. For some reason he couldn't help but laugh loudly. Why does that question seem so odd? He asked himself while responding. "To tell you the truth, I'm not sure. My father probably has had other children, but I don't know him so I don't care. And my mother..." He said in a semi-cheerful way. It was kinda depressing talking about his parents, but he tried not to think about it too much.
Before he could continue, the door burst open and cracked against the wall. "There they are!" A man who looked like a faculty member shouted to others behinds him. Oh for fucks sake! Can't I have one normal day without being chased by someone?! I guess not. The schizo discussed with himself before throw his brain into 'How do I get the fuck out of here?!' mode. Well what ways where there off roofs? Down to the ground, out the door, and...across. Throwing himself from the vent, Levi sprinted to Max and picked her up. "We gotta go." He said while running towards the side of the roof. Once arms length away from the railing, he leaped into the air and pushed off the railing with his right leg sending them flying at building two. Thinking that was too easy to follow, the Freshmen proceeded to jump to the third building. By that time he was getting pretty tired. It took about all the strength he had left to kick open the door. Fuck, she's heavier than I thought she'd be. He thought before gently putting her down. "It'd probably be best to find an empty class room on the third floor." He said between bouts of panting.

"Sure."
At least Levi didn't have a problem with her stupid suggestion, Max noticed, patting down the tip of her kimono-shirt's sleeve, she liked the comfortable japanese garment. Criss-crossing her legs over each other like those asains do in a lot of those old movies, Max relaxed waiting for Levi to reply to her question. He did, but it didn't seem like it was his favorite subject, "To tell you the truth, I'm not sure. My father probably has had other children, but I don't know him so I don't care. And my mother..."
"He's one of those kids." She thought to herself before realizing that Levi had stopped talking, Max assumed he was one of those children that belonged to one of those stupid high-school girls who got drunk at some nightclub one night and came out nine months later as a drop-out and had to feed some baby in a broken down house who never got to meet his father and would never know him, though most the times in those cases the mother herself didn't even know the father sometimes too, but... Max didn't want to assume, she was trying to listen without getting all sympathic too soon, she was even going to tell him to stop if he wanted to, but turns out there was an interruption.
"There they are!" Someone shouted, Max didn't know who. Levi seemed alarmed though, jumping off the vent and running over to her, she began to stand up until she found herself being swept off her feet. "We gotta go." He spoke quickly, Max didn't know what was going on, she started to wrap her weak arms around Levi at first until she felt herself flying through the air with him, that's when she realized he was jumping off the roof to an opposing building. Another part of the school. Max's arms flew away from Levi when they landed, but she thought now he would put her down and explain what was going on, but only found herself flying onto other rooftop with Levi holding her in-arm. Max looked at the rooftops Levi had just jumped, she saw a gang of people, couldn't tell whether they were older or younger, scowlding them from the other roof.
Max slipped out of Levi's arms while he was putting her down and rubbed her weak arm, it was going all jaggedy on their little jumping spree so it was hurting, Max's arms were a weak spot on her body. One of the weakest, because she wasn't very used to be thrown, hit, beat upon or anything. She rubbed her pale flesh and blinked, waiting for an explanation, "It'd probably be best to find an empty class room on the third floor." Levi had finally said, Max moved forward and rubbed him on the shoulder near his neck as if to calm him down.
"Don't breath so hard," She warned, caringly. "It's bad for you. -- do you think you could tell me who those guys are and why we just had to risk our lives by rooftop jumping before we go anywhere, Levi?" Max was concerned, she didn't know why Levi had all of a sudden freaked out but she wanted to know before going anywhere else.

"It's...kinda...hard..." Levi said in reply to Max's concerned comment. A few more seconds past and as they did the redhead's adrenaline level started to decrease. It was than that he realized that his leg had been a bit messed up with all the jumping. Probably because he had trouble transferring his weight correctly with the brunette in his arms.
"Fuck..." He growled softly while massaging the tender muscle. "They were faculty, probably teachers. And we weren't risking our lives. Those jumps were easy. The reason I ran is because, if we stayed we'd be looking at a good beating for ditching class. Not to mention they'd make you do so much Algebra your head would spin. The administration isn't lax in any sense of the word. I just thought you wouldn't be too excited about getting a beating. Aside from that, I couldn't let them harm such a beautiful girl." The boy said with another sly smile. Hopefully Max had learnt that he wouldn't stand down on that point. And he realized she probably wouldn't either. So at the time they were in a deadlock 'till one of them wore down.
"Anyway, lets get off this roof and floor. They'll be looking for us, and they can track students down faster than you'd think." Levi said seriously before making his way down the stairs; limping a bit as he went.

"It's...kinda...hard..."
Max heard Levi say, she withdrawed her hand from his neck and stood there waiting for him to speak more. Hearing him curse, Max was quick to shift her eyesight over to his leg which seemed to be injured or something, because of the jumping she guessed, she would've offered to massage it for him if he hadn't proceeded in doing that himself first. Max smiled.
Aside from that, I couldn't let them harm such a beautiful girl."
Max sighed when Levi called her beautiful again, and she wasn't about to back down on the fact that she wasn't. Sure, some people might take it as if she's missing a few screws in her head, denying that she's glamerous and charming and blah blah blah, but Max didn't care, she wasn't beautiful. She was ... nice, that was all! "Stop calling me that, I'm just ... nice." Max didn't even know if she felt comfortable about calling herself nice anymore either, she didn't know. Max was thankful that Levi got her away from a beating and a whole lot of algebra, apparently, that would make her head spin and fall off her shoulders and explode into probably half a dozen pieces.
"Anyway, lets get off this roof and floor. They'll be looking for us, and they can track students down faster than you'd think." Levi commented, he went ahead and started to walk down the staircase of which the roof-door led to, Max noticed him limping. She nodded, catching up with him, she snagged his right arm backward and threw it over her shoulders, pushing her left arm up onto his back so she could support him because she knew Levi was too weak to walk on his leg, or probably not that weak, but she knew he would have a hard time and she wasn't going to take no for an answer. She was going to help him down the stairs.

Hearing Max resist the comment as expected, all the redhead could do was stick out his tongue to let her know he wasn't going to give either. He hated to see people reject the truth, especially when it came to self image. He didn't want her to be vain or anything, but at least realize she was better than nice. A part of him already knew that he wouldn't be able to make it down the stairs unaided. Her hand on his shoulder was a proof of that. She really is too nice. How can she be so selfless all the time? Dunno...Ash's like that ya know. Yea... The Freshmen remembered, thinking of his step mother.
"You don't hav-." He started to say before giving in. She would help him no matter how much he protested. Instead he chose to go with something more appropriate. "Thanks..." He said once they had reached the bottom. "I'll be fine the rest of the way. My leg's not too bad." He commented, trying to put her at ease.
Eventually after a walk down the hallway and down another flight of stairs they reached the third floor of the building. Luckily there was a spare, uninhabited office not far from the steps. Being the gentlemen he was, Levi held the door open for Max before entering himself. Whelp...there's still half a period left. So uhh...why don't you tell me a bit about you?

"I'll be fine the rest of the way. My leg's not too bad."
Max heard Levi say after they got off the stairs, she nodded politely as she pulled her arms away, her concious left her left hand on his side for a few seconds but not before she realized it and jagged it away too. Max walked a few inches ahead of Levi though she didn't know where he intended to go, she saw him stick his tongue out at her back up on the roof but didn't say anything about it, honestly she had giggled a bit in her head. It was funny, Max slipped her hands into her rear pockets as she walked slowly by Levi.
Finally he had led her to an office after they got onto the third floor, no one was inside, and he had opened the door for her, Max wanted him to go in first but she figured all guy's did that eventually, the stupid 'ladies' first' thing. She walked inside, at the same time listening to Levi's next words, "Whelp...there's still half a period left. So uhh...why don't you tell me a bit about you?"
Max shrugged, she didn't mind that, she had found out a tince of Levi's background so why not share some of her history too? "Okay, I was born in Europe -- let's see, my father's dead and my mother's away on business or pleasure or whatever in some far out place somewhere else in the world, I live by myself and I'm just a regular girl. That's about it though." Max said, hopping onto the desk placed before a small chair in the end of the office only a few feet form the door. That was about all there was to it, there wasn't much more she could say about herself really, though she could've gone into detail, if Levi asked her.

"Sounds pretty normal to me." He said jokingly. Not that he thought of her as boring or anything. She was...interesting in her own way. It seemed a bit odd to him that she could talk about her father being dead so easily. The funny thing was, he didn't even know if either of his parents were still alive. It really got to him sometimes, but Ashley helped with that. Most of the time he was able to ignore how he felt though, it just wasn't worth moping over. Since Max had talked about herself, he thought it would only be fair for him to do the same.
"I don't really remember where I was born. I remember a little bit about my mother, but most of what I can remember starts in an orphanage. Like I said, I don't know anything about either of my parents. Right now I live with a woman named Ashely who adopted me a few years ago. And uhh...that's about all I can think of." He said, lying just a bit. He didn't see the need to talk about his DID. No one knew about it, other than the administration, and he wanted to keep it that way. For a good while at least.

OoC: Late post, sorry o_0 I was kinda .. making my board
"Sounds pretty normal to me." Was Levi's reply, Max smiled at him. There was something about him that made him so comfortable to talk with, even if at sometimes it felt like you were being hit on, Max thought if he tried more to talk to people and be a normal guy rather then a womanizer he'd get real far in conversations and friendships/relationships. He seemed like a pretty nice person, and Max had enjoyed everything he had said and done since the roof and fourth period started, especially when he sweeped her up off her feet and did that rooftop thingy. She felt like a princess being taken away from the evil Algebra Dragon's Castle by her knight in shining armor, but, anyways ...
"I don't really remember where I was born. I remember a little bit about my mother, but most of what I can remember starts in an orphanage. Like I said, I don't know anything about either of my parents. Right now I live with a woman named Ashely who adopted me a few years ago. And uhh...that's about all I can think of."
Max nodded, "So he was adopted?" She asked herself, double-checking Levi's words carefully. Funny. She had a pair of 'levi' jeans back at home. Max bit her lip, it seemed Levi didn't want to talk about his background too much, as if he thought she was some martian coming to invade his personal life or something. Max shrugged it off, speaking again,
"I'm sorry about that ... about not knowing about your family, but I'm happy that you were able to find someone -- or someone was able to find you I guess -- to live with and be happy with." Max said sincerely in her motherly tone which she noticed herself that she used a lot when talking to people, sometimes she used that sweet sixteen babyfaced voice but she mostly used that caring, concerned mother-like tone with people. Strange, eh? "--so, I guess that topic is sort of shaky since neither of us have much to tell. Know of any other way to kill time?"

"I am too. She's the nicest person I've ever met." Levi said right after Max's comment. He was glad she didn't make too big a deal of his being adopted. He didn't mind talking about it too much, but it just annoyed him when people freaked out and felt really bad for him. Sure his life was fucked up, but he was moving past that and they didn't have to remind him too much of the past.
Following suit with Max's request for another topic, Levi spoke again. "Uhh...how 'bout more random questions? Favorite color? Time of day? Food? Memory?" The redhead asked, shooting off every question that came to mind. Sure, it wasn't the most sophisticated way to converse, but it was fun.

"I am too. She's the nicest person I've ever met."
Max smiled at Levi talking so politely about his step-mother, not much kids did. Adopted children usually spat in their adoption parents' faces and shouted and screamed at them to get them back with their real parents, Max was glad to see one person in the world thankful for some woman out of nowhere having the kindness in her heart enough to shelter him and live with him as his mother, however hard it might be. Max couldn't doubt Levi, "I'm sure." She said quietly.
What surprised Max about Levi was his reply to her question, it was ... funny. "Uhh...how 'bout more random questions? Favorite color? Time of day? Food? Memory?"
"Um...let me think." Max started to try and answer, "Uh...I guess ... blue? -- Sunset, Spaghetti and ... staying in Paris with my nanny, Amour, I guess." Max replied, she felt a Amour-ish right now actually. As if something was taking over her, but Max forgot that, she kept a smile that included surpise, excitement and beauty.

OOC: I always forget to put the colors in. T_T Oh, and take as long as you need.
IC: Wow... Levi thought as he looked at Max. She looked really happy. The happiest he had ever seen her to tell the truth. Why though? Probably because of the memory question. Aureus reminded him. "You have a really nice smile." He said, before continuing on to answer his owns questions. "As for me...Silver, Twilight, Pizza, and the day Ashley adopted me." Levi said while scratching the back of his neck, a sort of nervous habit he had. Hahaha...you can't be serious. A girl is actually making you nervous for once? No! What makes you think that? You're scratching the back of your neck. Damnit... Ok maybe a little. Only 'cause she seems so calm and happy. It's sort of strange... Not your normal type of girl, eh? You usually do look for the troublesome ones. "Your turn for random questions." The redhead said with a sly smile.

OoC: Heh, no problem and thankies (:
"You have a really nice smile."
Levi said. -- again. Max winced and then reduced her smile a bit, shaping it into a wicked grin this time, "...um...thanks, again." She said, shrugging. She curiously watched him scratch his neck, maybe he was getting a bit nervous or uncomfortable or that was some sort of guy-thing, Max wouldn't know. She just listened as he replied to his own questions,
"As for me...Silver, Twilight, Pizza, and the day Ashley adopted me."
That was nice. Max had some advice for him though as she quickly spoke after he commented, "Pizza's bad for you, for the record. Cheese could give you lactose, meat can give you cancer and I hate to say it but sometimes fast-food restaurants do include a bit of saliva in all their dishes." She explained, "If not worse, like ... dandruff." Max shook at the fact that people might put their dandruff in other people's pizza, the very thought of that made her glad she used Head & Shoulders. (:
"Your turn for random questions."
"Uh ... okay. Um -- Favorite Actresses? Favorite Actor? Girlfriends? Boyfriends? Roomies?" Yeah...Max didn't know what her answers would be to all her questions, but...they were random.

Again...? You're repeating yourself, idiot! The schizo thought after the girl replied to his compliment. Damnit! I'm losing focus. T_T Stop complaining! -_- They hadn't been talking that long and already he was already slipping up. It wasn't like Levi at all. He was usually in control most of the time. But now he had trouble keeping his sentences straight. What was going on?
Fortunately what Max had to say next made him forget about his shoddy speaking, and put him in a semi argumentative mood. Lactose? A disaccharide, C12H22O11, found in milk, that may be hydrolyzed to yield glucose and galactose. What's wrong with that? What's she talking about? He wondered before replying. "Uhh...What's wrong with lactose? Not to mention, they say everything gives you cancer these days. And so what if there's a few skin cells on my pizza? People drop hair, skin cells, and other things on their own food. You're not a germophobe are you?" The boy asked with a slight tinge of annoyance in his voice. He didn't really like nit picky people. "As for the questions, Brad Pitt would be my favorite actor, I don't really have a favorite female actress. Right now I'm single. And my only roomie would be my step mother."

Seemingly Levi wasn't too comfortable with Max's little tip, she could sense the annoyance in his voice even so if there was so few of it, stretching her fingers out at full length in front of her Max adjusted as she replied just as stingy, not meaning to be rude, just a little comeback. Besides, if Max just kept up the sweet talk and the care, which was actually the real her, people would think she was just a pretty face from outerspace. "Actually, no I'm not a germophobe or whatever ... and I hear that lactose is actually a ... hmm .. - ding! BAD thing? And sometimes when they say things give you cancer, those things usually do! Doaaaaah!"
Max was trying her best to stay on Levi's good side, he was the greatest guy she'd ever met, but sometimes a girl's gotta speak up. "And I never knew you had to be that germophobe thing before you gave a tip! -- and for the record, if I find something that doesn't belong on my food like say ... a fingernail, I'd think it was disgusting and probably toss it in the waiter's face or something and beat up the cook mind you, so yeah ..." She settled her little fuss calmly, taking a breath as she then let her fingers fall down and she tightened the obi on her shirt tighter.
"As for the questions, Brad Pitt would be my favorite actor, I don't really have a favorite female actress. Right now I'm single. And my only roomie would be my step mother."
"Well at least he doesn't have a boyfriend." Max thought to herself and then mentally giggled continously, as she then decided to reply, "Boohoo! I don't have a favorite actor, actress, boyfriend or girlfriend and I live by myself in a lil' motel room about 'tis small?" She held up a small space between her index finger and thumb estimating how big the place she was staying in was, it wasn't that small otherwise the landlord would probably rent it out to mice, but Max liked to under-exagerate sometimes.
