Mitsukai listened to his answer and couldn't help but think how much they were a like in mentality. Mitsukai also had a strong and passionate desire to fight and whenever she found an opponent that she could not beat she went all out to defeat them. And when she knew she was losing the battle she did what little she could to do SOME damage before it ended. She had done so with her fight with Katsuri, Gabriel, and Matrim as well all for her own tiny satisfaction, knowing that one day she would be able to do far more damage then that once she became stronger. And dedicated her life for reaching that goal. Ryu was the same way but where she would wait and challenge the opponent directly Ryu took a much different approach.
There was a hint of anger in his voice as he spoke of Matrim and she could not blame him. Mitsukai had been a bit pissed off too when she first fought Matrim, that was after of course when he threw her into the lockers. But she had not been that miffed about it, she simply cussed him off and kept fighting only to brush it off later. Though naturally she kept her eye out for the man after that, planning to one day get him back for that little mishap. And now that man was her teacher.....funny how the world works.
Mitsukai turned her head back once Ryu declared that he was finished. The leg was nice and secure now so for now it was good. All that was needed to be done was to wait for that doctor. Her eyes fell back on Ryu once more, noting though he was not really acting like he that he was worn out and tired. He needed to rest the poor guy had been up all day.
"You should get some rest, the doctor is not going to come for a while now and you could use the rest." she said softly, a hint of concern in her voice as she waited for him to respond.

He pulled off the rubber gloves and threw them into one of the plastic bags that he'd started using for a garbage. Grabbing his bracers off the nightstand, he smirked as she told him to rest. Looking at the clock, "Only been up for twenty-eight hours. What's the big deal?" He looked back into her eyes, laughing slightly. Stopping for a moment as he looked at her, he breathed and stood up.
His empty right hand rose a bit as though he were going to touch her cheek or shoulder or...something. It stopped some distance before it reached her, and dropped back down as he shook his head slightly. Stupid of him. He shouldn't try for anything like that... "Night...or...Morning...heh whatever." Turning away he picked up the remaining crap and brought it into the living room type area...thing. Putting the garbage next to the door, he put the rest next to the couch and sat down.
Pulling the knife out of his sock, he put it back in the bag and went to lay down. "Oh." He caught himself, standing back up. He grabbed the bag by the coffee table that had the blanket stuff in it, as well as the one that had the clothes, and walked back over to the dark skinned girl. "Forgot about this stuff." He pulled out a large blackish T-shirt with some writing on it and handed it to her.
As she did what ever she was going to with that, he'd pull out tight plastic bundles containing a few bed sheets. "Here, let's get you laying back down." He'd say, and extend his left hand to her. With it, he'd support her weight by her good arm, and with his right, lift her injured leg up slightly, so that she could slide down into the bed and lay down. Once she was in the position that she would sleep in, he'd realize again that he was holding her hand, and this time it was a much more complete grip. He'd hold her hand gently, a slight flush coming to his face again. She really did have the softest skin.

The big man shrugged off her suggestion. His hand for a moment reaching out towards her as if to touch her but then stopped short. As if he thought better of it. Shrugging that moment off Ryu actually went to lay down on the couch but once again stood up. "Forgot about this stuff." He handed her a black t-shirt, she struggled while trying to put the thing on. It was no easy task to put on a shirt while one handed but she managed to pull it off. Forcing her good arm out of one sleeve, the broken arm still underneath the shirt. "Here, let's get you laying back down." Taking her good arm in one hand and her damaged leg in the other he helped reposition her to lay back down on the bed. Once again she could not help but notice the feeling of his touch. That grip was firm but gentle. Mitsukai found herself blushing a little again, damn her brain why did it drift off in thought like that? The song on the TV changed to something more soft and soothing, without realizing it her eyes began to close. She was very tired despite all the current activity and that song was like a gentle lullaby making her drift to sleep.

Ryu watched as her gold eyes slowly shut, her hand growing lax in his grip. Chuckling rather silently, he gently set her hand down and reached for the sheets in their plastic little jobby. Unzipping the thing quietly, he pulled out the top sheet, leaving the sheet that went directly on the mattress in the bag. He draped the sheet over her, and carefully pulled a heavier blanket out of the plastic bag. Draping that over her sleeping body, too, he went and finally laid down on the couch, sighing to himself as the music played in the background.
Closing his eyes, he draped an arm over them, and pulled the Whirlwind Jacket over his body. Staying like that for a while, conscious, he thought about everything that had just happened. Six hours straight, his attention was on nothing but her. Caring for her after spending so much time focused on hurting her. And now she was asleep in the bed he'd been staying in for the past few weeks. He didn't know what was happening to him that he was suddenly caring for someone, and not just in a physical sense...
Sighing, he loosened his gaze behind his closed eyes, shifted his position in the couch, and slept.
