ichimaru walked to a tree on the campus and layed in it's shade, he looked at the building from where he was sitting, wondering how many more interesting people where out there in the school, he also wondered how this school was run in particular, some schools had intimidating teachers, some had police officers on campus the entire time, others let the students run free. so far it seemed this school was like the last on his list of ways it was run. he also had to seek out this cliff person soon and ask him about the 'exiles' or something like that.

There was a feeling of foreshadowing that followed Aureus around like a lost puppy or a rain cloud. Actually, it couldn't be either, because it really didn't have any negative or noticeably annoying effects on him. It was simply there, always hovering over in the back of his mind like smoke. Something was coming, and it would happen soon. Maybe not that day, maybe not the next, but it wasn't far off; he knew that much. It would be a test of who he was, it would change him, it would destroy him, it would heal him...he didn't know.
As he strolled through the large square in the middle of the campus, a key chain swung on the Pillar's index finger. Centripetal force holding it in place, around and around in a circle, velocity, acceleration, tension all present as the laws of the physical world dictated. Coming to the large tower, Aureus inserted the proper key into the lock on the only door. It had been pretty easy to slip from the teacher's lounge, especially since he was a Pillar. Quickly he closed the barrier behind him.
It was almost completely dark and silent, yet both the light and noise from the outside were able to force their way inside it's stone interior. Slowly the dark haired Junior ascended the spiraling stairs, his senses adjusting themselves to his new surroundings. The smell of...old, the small amount of light his brown eyes would need to keep him from stumbling around, the tinge of cold on his skin. By the time he had reached the top, Aureus was used to the bottom.
So there he sat, looking out on the courtyard filled with students. Some were playing Frisbee, others were eating their brown bagged lunches, still others were chatting with their friends or mumbling into their cell phones. Nimbly the Pillar's eyes scanned each one of them until they landed on a lone figure resting in the shade beneath a tree.
In an attempt to shut out his own worries, the schizo wondered what this boy's story was. He was young, but it was harder to tell much more from that distance. The cold stone raced under his fingertips as Aureus rubbed the stone of the tower. He was always shifting between the busy world filled with people he didn't know, people he didn't like, their problems that were his job to fix and his own personal haven with Chihiro. The lone, sun-melted place where they shared each other for hours on end. Sometimes he longed to spend eternity there, but he knew that would only kill it. He had to jump out into the dirty world, because without it a haven was no different from everything else. It was routine, and Aureus hated routine and over comfort.
The light in his eyes shone like a beacon to all those who bothered to look up. They were the only lights that came from inside the tower.

looking up briefly and seeing the flicker of the light in the normaly pitch black tower. he wondered what the building was and why someone was up there. he got out from under the tree and looked up to see if he could guess, he couldn't quite see so he climbed the tree he sat under to get a better look. he wondered again what the building was for and why it was always dark. he liked this school a lot more than any other school he had been put in, and the layout was interesting.

Ah, it seemed the boy he had been looking at before took sight of him and clambered up the tree to get a better look. Aureus really wasn't in a sociable mood and simply stared at the student. His expression gave off nothing but a hint of "Waddaya want?".

seeing his face now, he motioned for him to come down here. he wanted to talk, either way, if the guy had to come down or if ichimaru had to go up, he would. he waited to see what this man would do, to nod and come down, to just get out of his line of sight or just stand there. ichimaru thought what this person may bring if he did meet, a new friend or a violant opponent, but now wasnt the time to ask that.

The Pillar caught the younger boy's motion, but decided not to move. Instead he simply adjusted the glasses he was wearing and continued to stare at him. They weren't required for Aureus to see, as his vision was 20/20 already, but for some inexplicable reason they helped him see even better than that. The wannabe god Apollo had dropped it after all, so it probably had some kind of magical property.
Waiting, waiting, and waiting. That's all Aureus would do unless the boy took it upon himself to find some way to get to the top of the tower.

ichimaru wondered why he just stood there and muttered to himself "fine...i'll come to you" and he walked up to the base of the tower, looking for any foot or handholds. he tried to grab on and climb his way up but he couldnt make it that way, so he went to the main building, finding it easier to find a hand hold so he got to the highest level of the building and jumped from there to get to the opening where he saw the man in the window.

Either you're amazingly popular, or this boy's insane. So it would seem. The Pillar thought to himself as he watched the Sophomore climb up the school building and leap to the tower. If it had been even a foot farther away he would have come up short and slammed into the wall before falling to the ground; just another mess to clean up.
He didn't bother to help the boy in, but instead waited until he had done that much for himself. "You went through a lot of trouble to get to me, so I'm left wondering what you have to say that's so important," Aureus said, indifferently.

thinking "well, i saw the glint from your glasses, then saw your face, you seemed interesting enough and i felt compelled to talk to you, possibly have a friendly spar? i want to learn from people, and you seem you you could teach me a lot" he said, very glad that he made the leap of faith, but it scared the crap out of him when he thought for the last moment he may have missed or lost grip and fall leaving a nice splatter on the ground and a broken body like a doll.

"Interesting enough, eh? That's an awful lot to conclude just by looking at me. Well, go ahead and ask any questions you feel compelled to. We'll see about that spar when you're done, or if you don't have any questions..." The Varsity Captain replied, looking over the boy with slight curiosity. What would come of this little meeting between them? Who knew, but there was a small chance it would be worth it. If not, he'd leave and find a new place to think, one where he wouldn't be bothered.
With all that being said, Aureus backed away from the window and leaned against the stone wall, waiting for whatever would happen to happen.

"well, first whats with this tower, second do you have a Qi skill, third why do you keep yourself up here instead of with fellow students" he had those three questions he could think of at the moment, but he figured that was enough. he wasnt sure of the pourpose of the tower, or why this guy was stuck in here "my name is ichimaru, and yours is?" he asked as he kept his hand to himself figureing he wouldnt shake his hand.

The surprise on Aureus' face was evident, though he tried not to make it overly obvious. The lack of tact this student had and his blunt, upfront manner caught the Junior off guard. Who asked those questions without batting an eye?
The first question was pretty easy, so he decided to answer that first. "This...is a clock tower, if you couldn't tell. No, I do not have a Qi skill. And I came up here to think for the time being. I'm Aureus, Varsity Captain and Pillar of this school. It's...nice to meet you," He said hoping all the boy's questions had been answered fully, though he doubted it.

"nice to meet you too aureus, so...what exactly is a pillar" he asked as he thought about it, he guessed this would be a clock tower, sometimes he thought he was too dence for his own good, however this looked like a place to be locked up not a place that would normaly be chosen to be. ichimaru let aureus' preferences be his own without any rude questions.

"A Pillar is a student chosen by the faculty to enforce the rules of the school, or at least that's what we're supposed to do. Personally, I just do what I think's right. If someone's getting bullied, I step in, if someone's selling drugs, I step in, etc," Aureus answered, surprised that the boy didn't already know these things. It was possible he was a new student.
As they spoke the inner mechanics of the clock tower kept their usual routine of spinning, clunking, turning, and chunking. If they were to fight here they'd have to be careful, as the observation room wasn't that big, and the Pillar didn't like the idea of either one of them getting stuck in a cog.
"Well, if you really want that spar, we'll have to go out into the field, as there's no room here. That alright with you?" Aureus asked, and if the student accepted those conditions, he would waste no further time with words and make his way down the spiral stairs.

"works for me, i'd hate to be smeared across the cogworks of this clock place anyway" he said this and as the pillar made his way down ichimaru followed, he didnt need any more questions, and he didnt care if it was moste likely his ass would be handed to him without this guy breaking a sweat. it was that he wasnt violant from the start and he answered the questions without hesitation that showed ichimaru a spar is all it would be.
