OOC: Continued from "The End With You". Open only to Saint or Jyo and Chi if she feels like spectating.
Bubbling with rage, sorrow, and determination, Aureus made his way to the center of the school's courtyard. Starting now he was going to push himself to limit. Why? He needed it to keep going, he was afraid of what would happen if he didn't release all the emotions he was feeling. Chi probably wouldn't like what he was going to do, but hopefully she'd be able to stay away. She had to stay away from him, and he had to do the same for her. There wasn't any other way, it was just how things were. Though if he got his way, it wouldn't be like that for long. He would fix everything or die trying.
"Hey! Whoever wants my title as Pillar, come get it!" The Sophomore roared for the entire school to hear. Igniting the gloves on both his hands, Aureus waited for the rush of all the power hungry students.
The first to run toward him was a burly Junior who seemed to have adopted an "all out" plan of attack. All power, no speed. The Pillar thought as he stood still 'till the last second, sliding to his top right as the boy came in. Sprinting towards his opponent, Aureus attempted to drop kick him in the back. Wise to his plan, the Junior caught his leg in mid-air and threw the schizo into the clock tower.
Slamming into the brick back first, Aureus tried to focus his vision. What did he see? Another charge by the student he mentally nicknamed "The Rhino". Grabbing the sides of the crater he had created, Aureus sent his feet straight into the Rhino's face, the crushing of bones all too apparent, followed by a torrent of blood. Slowly stepping over the boy's body, the Pillar stomped down onto his ribs, breaking several with ease.
Next were two sophomores who ran at him in unison. A team, eh? They'll just fight over the title anyway. Heh... he thought before running back toward the tower with the boys close behind him. His movements flowed like liquid as he ran up the wall and back flipped behind his attackers, though they were smart enough not to be taken off guard by such acrobatics.
One left hook came in fast from the student on the right. At the same time, the one on the left dropped low for a sweep. Taking a large step back on his right foot, Aureus pulled the punches' owner along with him. Lefty's sweep met his friend's legs instead, dropping him to the ground. Quickly the schizo stomped his foot onto the boy's shoulder while twisting his arm to break it.
From there Aureus attempted to swing the same leg's knee over to strike his remaining opponent in the face. The boy was fast enough to throw up his hands in a guard and Aureus jumped back to lure the sophomore into his next attack.
Fast... The Pillar thought as he guarded one punch, two, three, four. The kid was all over the place, and actually made it hard to guess where he was going next. Stepping back further than usual, he was able to avoid one of the punches all together and step inside the boy's guard, throwing a punch to his shoulder. Following that up with a head butt, Aureus was now opponent free. Who else would there be to challenge him? He still needed to fight, to fight insanity.

Jyo having been sitting in the tree had looked up when the pillar Aureus shouted out about the chance to take his title. He watched in curiousity as he was attacked. Each foe woefully incapable of presenting even the slightest challenge. Jyo could tell there was more to all of this. Some deep emotional hurt that couldn't be easily sated. Wanting to cut this off quickly the tall young man slid from the branch of the tree and landed lightly without even a sound.
He headed over grabbing another student heading at Aureus. "No." He said softly looking at him. The kid ran off. Jyo continued walking to Aureus. Many students saw him and soon they made way for him. Jyo stopped roughly ten feet from Aureus and then looked around the crowd of stundets. His piercing gaze locked onto Aureus. He met the student once before and they had done little but talk.
"You invite these students to fight you. But you know they don't stand a chance. This isn't about a title." Whats wrong?" He asked in the calm tone that seemed to sum up who he was. Jyo wasn't phased by the actions he was seeing. He himself had done much much worse when he had been at #499. "You'll have your release against me. But I want to hear the reason. I'm not after your title. I'm just keeping you away from the others." he said.

Aureus prepared himself for the next wave of attacks that would surely come, but it seemed someone wanted to spoil his fun. Jyo...you don't understand. No one understands, I have to do this. the teen thought while squeezing his flaming fists even tighter. There was a crowd forming, and they would have posed a challenge if the Junior hadn't interfered.
It really was amazing how Jyo thought Aureus would just spill all his problems for the entire school to hear, like they were in some therapy session. No, it was none of their business, but even so the ones who wanted power would suffer...or he would. It was the only way.
"I'm doing it because I have to! It's the only way to fix everything. Now, either attack me or leave." The Pillar responded with fire in his voice. He needed to fight as much as possible, there was no need to talk things out. Talk couldn't save her.

"Because you have to..." Jyo said letting it trail off and raising an eyebrow. He knew he had been in similar situations. "Very well." He said and quick as a flash he was on Aureus his right leg coming in for a hook kick across his face. Jyo would have to press the attack and get this over with quickly It was clearly a large issue and he wasn't going to let this keep building up. he'd have to end it fast. Once the hook kick was done he'd whip it back in case it was blocked or ducked under. It would keep Aureus away from him if he backed up and Jyo could manage something else it the leg was grabbed.

He was happy Jyo decided not to press the issue further and commenced his attack instead. He had never fought the boy before, but knew from stories about his fight with Asiv that Jyo was a worthy opponent. Yes, if there was anyone that would prepared him for the future and sharpen his skills, it would be Jyo.
Already the Pillar was gaging his new opponent's skill. He was fast, about as fast as Karel. Even so, Aureus could still make out his movements. If only his body had been fast enough to keep up with his eyes. Luckily there was still some time for him to think out his counter.
The force that the red haired boy put into his kick told Aureus it wouldn't come down ontop of his head, but was meant to carry across in one felt swoop. Even before that, the positioning of the boy gave away the fact it was some sort of kick or an extremely strong hook punch.
Ducking down and attempting to counter right away, the brown eyed boy threw a strong right punch to Jyo's ribs in an attempt to break them. If the boy was able to withstand the attack, or find some way to avoid it, Aureus would have a leg slam hard into his side, forcing him to the right and onto the ground.

"C'mon, he's giving up his title, everyone's going to watch!" Shouted a frenzied freshman as they passed by Chi's locker. The Asian girl looked up curiously, her movement and gaze slow as her eyes followed the retreating kid. They were going to the courtyard. What was going on? Sluggishly, the girl pulled her books for her next class from her locker and closing it. Her next class was that way anyway, it wasn't like she really wanted to go see what the whole hub ub was about. She really didn't care to see what anyone was doing. They could all go to hell.
Her sleeves were pulled over her hands like they had been for over a week now, her long dark hair shielding her from the side as it fell to each side of her face. She pushed open the door with her free hand, blinking at the sight that met her in the courtyard. What the hell..?! Her jaw dropped slightly as she stared at the gathering students, just catching the sight of flames in the middle. And she suddenly felt sick, frozen where she stood.

Jyo saw the punch coming in and his left hand shot out grabbing the incoming attack. His arm rocked back a bit but he held it firmly as his leg swept back into Aureus' side. Jyo was very used to having to cover himself from a kick and this was a counter he was used to applying so the motions came naturally to him.
Once the kick did it's job Jyo jumped back landing lightly. For the first time in a while during a fight his arms were raised held out in front of him slightly bent and his hands were open but tensed. As usual his face showed no emotion. "By the way I'm not after your title." he said as he stood there. He was alert to everything around him. The slightest movment or noise. Jyo stood there waiting for Aureus. If he didn't move soon Jyo would attack once more

OOC: Late reply, my apologies.
IC: The kick had found it's mark despite the Pillar's best efforts and he was slammed hard into the ground. From the way Jyo expertly defended himself, Aureus guessed that he had expected that particular counter. Alright, so he would have to think outside the box. Couldn't be that hard, right? Either way, he was learning and it would help him later. Definitely fast, decently strong. He noted while looking up at the boy.
Pushing himself up, Aureus ran toward Jyo with no particular attack in mind. He would wait for his reaction and move from there. Maybe it was a mistake, but the point was he needed to know more about the way Jyo fought.

Interesting. A dead run. He must be waiting for something. Very well. As they say. be careful what you wish for. He thought and dashed at Aureus. Jyo was fine with rushing up to meet his foe. After all a headling attack had more of an appeal to it. Lately Jyo had only played defense in his fights and observed his foes. he figured a change of pace could work well for him
When in range he would push off to dart to his right side and his left foot would come in for a sweeping motion. Normally a running sweep was considered a bad idea. But that was for when you were running as a stationary foe. As Aureus was moving as well it was unlikely that besides jumping he could do much to counter it. But Jyo was still prepeared. Which was why he chose the attack. If it worked it would be effective for getting Aureus on the ground. But if Aurues countered it wouldn't be hard for Jyo to react to it.

Bam! A leg shot out after Jyo ran to his right, exactly what Aureus had been waiting for. Seeing the move, the Pillar jumped into the air, spinning to his right and extending his right leg at the same time. Even if the boy had some counter planned, he would have to deal with the leg.
There was probably no chance of the attack doing any damage, so the best Aureus could hope for was that it put him in a good position to launch another attack once he landed.

This proved to be a severe mistake on Aureus' part. As Jyo had only pushed off lightly he was already on the ground when Aureus jumped for his attack.Jyo saw the move coming in and sighed. Aureus being in the air made defense to a counter virtually impossible. Jyo had his left hand shoot out and grab the incoming foot by the ankle and pulled him out and down to slam him into the ground with all the force he could muster. Jyo wasn't going to give Aureus any breaks. The guy was clearly slipping out of control and Jyo wasn't going to let become a problem for the while school.
Once he had slammed Aureu's to the ground he would let go and leap back. he was sure that Aurues had more in him. And Jyo wasn't one to attack his foe while they were down unless his life was in danger which it clearly wasn't.

Aureus saw what was coming a full second and a half before it actually took place and a scowl tore across his face. Jyo was still faster, much faster, and that was proving to be a real bitch. Did it matter though? To be fully honest did the Pillar even stand a chance now? No, he had to admit that, but right now winning wasn't important. The pain that screaming through his right arm as he was slammed into the green, leafy carpet once more was enough to distract him from the gaping hole in his chest. Alright, it wasn't really there, but it felt like it.
Over and over images of her face flashed through his mind. Her scent, the touch of her skin, her lips again his haunted him. It was a real distraction and he just wanted to forget about her. There were more important things to deal with at the time. He didn't need her! He didn't need anyone!
That being as it may, he was still at a disadvantage against Jyo. Forcing himself to his feet, the Pillar reignited the flames on his gloves and stepped back a few feet to put some distance between he and his opponent. Attacking wasn't working, he needed to stay on defense for a little while, pick up the red head's movements.
Aureus repositioned himself with his left shoulder facing the boy, arms dangling at his sides, and feet planted shoulder's length apart. Staring daggers into Jyo's eyes, he waited for his attack. Rage and frustration were beginning to take their toll, but he had to keep himself in check.

"Finally! Boy did I pick a good time to hang around out here!"
Jacob thought with joy, moving his way to the huge crowd that was formed around and the such. He began to forcefully throw people out of the crowd, tugging roughly on random people until he got his way to the front. For some reason, nobody even dared to go and try to get their spot back. He knew who was fighting before he even made it to the front, mind reading powers can do enlighten you on things like that. He looked over at the two, and then a smirk appeared onto his lips.
"Wow! This is exciting! I've always wanted to see how the pillars fought here!"

Jyo didn't even show any reaction to flaming hands as his eyes began to glow. he didn't think the fire was Qi but he felt being able to percive any motion would be a very good thing in this case. he also noticed the look Aureus gave him and once more no reaction was shown. he had locked eyes with people who made that look seem pleasent and inviting.
He dashed in and once in his own kicking range he stopped and raised his right leg but quickly pushed off with his left switching the legs as his kick came in aimed for Aureus' right. it wasn't a complex move but he moved well enough that it wouldn't be easy to see until it was more or less done. He still wouldn't be relaxed. he had seen counters go against more adept moves after all.

Judging from the previous attacks his opponent had made, Aureus was assuming Jyo would always break, then attack. He hadn't rushed so far, and probably wouldn't. It didn't seem to be his style anyway. Keeping that in mind, when he saw the boy rush him, the Pillar took a large step back on his right leg. Because of their speed difference, Jyo was already switching his attacking legs at this point. Fuck. So fast.
Leaning back slightly, he was able to avoid the incoming kick to his side. There wasn't much time to react, so Aureus decided to act on instinct, but wouldn't make the same mistake he had before. Awaiting the inevitable, he drew his right arm back.
When Jyo's leg landed, his side was open for attack; same situation as before. Seeing the contact and rushing his body to keep up with his eyes, the schizo threw a fake right punch that would pull a sharp turn to the left, turning his body with it to allow him to aim a kick to his opponent's right knee. Hopefully the feint would distract him, if not Aureus knew he would suffer another harsh blow.
