It'd been awhile since the tournament had unfolded, naturally without its leader running it or for that matter any substantial leaders in any case it essentially crumpled and failed but that didn't set Jaus off. Most seemed to be there purely with the distinction to win the prize surely not a respectable standard for fighting prowess much less a means for political gain. No he knew the purpose of the Tournament in itself was a success, it drew those out to understand what leadership meant, that without such resolve and success was just a pot shot based on luck.
Sitting idly on the front lawn of the school Jaus craned his head to the sky mindlessly deteriorating as he observed the passing streams of jet fuel carry over the bright day. He'd scoff slightly tossing a brief stone to the side before picking himself up and crossing onto the walkways of the school. Things were still in shambles, they'd always be that way unless people were willing to give up things that they wouldn't normally be asked to. Food, Labor, Time; it was all a matter of perspective really but throughout time people made great sacrifices for such great leaps. He knew he was destined for such perilous triumphs. All it took was a leap of faith.
*bump*
Jaus would smack into someone as he was headed up the stairs honestly still distracted in his train of thought, too far so that he wasn't entirely sure how to react other than facing the fellow with his normal blank stare which often was referred to as scary.

(ooc: will write out a one shot thread to outline Roth's disappearance and comeback after this)
After about a week or so Roth was finally out of the hospital. According to the doctors he had been close to death twice in the past two weeks. Lovely. He didn't remember much of how he got their. He was told a few details of his arrival at the hospital, but he didn't care much. All that Roth really cared about was the fact that he was starting to feel good again.
After his encounter with the large blonde mariachi, Vetis, Roth was taken to the hospital to heal. His mentor Esau then administered the drug that ruined his life back in San Diego. The first time he took the drug he ended up in a coma for a year. The second time he was out for at least a month. Right now was the third time. And yet, Roth felt...good.
For now Roth would keep it off of his mind. Well, as much as he possibly could. He occupied himself with Marcus' antics, a truck load of strippers (the good ones mind you, not the Tuesday night C-section crew), and recovery. Now that he was back in 259 he had nothing to focus his mind on. Education here was a joke.
Luckily there was Roth's good ol' friend the hallways. Just wandering from hall to hall and up and down the massive flights of stairs is what gave Roth his cardio exercise for the day. This was the place where he thought. How this all began, from a naval confrontation with Tiao Lei Shen to...this.
*bump*
Down side of thinking and walking, you hit things a lot. Neither force seemed to stop or retract much, both of these men were strong and hardened by corporal punishment. The man starred at Roth a little bit, and Roth shot the same stare back at him. Then he was able to put a name to the face.
"Jaus? Jaus Valentine?"
Well son of a bitch. This was one of his opponents from the SLF Tag Team Tournament. He fought against Roth and Jayr with Kenin. Unfortunately Roth's single mindedness landed his team a disqualification for hitting Kenin while he was the illegal man. So much for the Ref being on the payroll.

The guy across from him would shoot the dirty glare, if Jaus had money on anything he'd bet this was about to turn into a fight. Great. He'd been looking for a bit of violence up in here, sure he was one of the more peaceful types in these parts but that didn't exclude him from a little rumble every now and then. His knuckles would crack under the pressure of his gripped hands tightening quickly settling in the dark gaze before...
"Jaus? Jaus Valentine?"
Huh?
He released on his grip immediately taken aback by the motion of this guy knowing his name, though for the most part he was on the down low. Jaus reverted back to think for a moment where he'd recognized this guy. Not Spike, he'd spent a number of months with Spike's gang of sorts, battling the overruling pillars and having little trouble dispersing them and their armies. As for the Black Knights, his time was limited there, this guy could be from there but he had to think a bit more recently.
"Roth?"
He'd reply coolly without edging towards that aggressive stance once again and rather settling into a bit of a cocky grin. Thats right he remembered the competition from which they were pitted against. In all honesty he liked the guy's style in one way or another. Authority be damned he worked fast and efficiently.
"You going to give me trouble, or should I take it that you're going to offer me a little something?"

An arrogant smile slowly crept across Roth's face. He liked Jaus, and he liked his attitude. Roth sure did have something to give him, two things in fact. 1, the 'Second Coming' of the Student Liberation Front that seemed to have been abandoned since Roth's recovery. And 2, a resolution to their fight. Roth only got to really go against Kenin in the Tag Match. What he really wanted was to size up this soon to be ally.
"I'm not here to make trouble, but troubles a'comin."
The arrogant smile stayed on Roth's face as he outstretched his hand for a shake. A manly, yet friendly gesture. Although, Roth genuinely hoped that it would turn in his favor. Roth has had a handshake backfire many times, not always in his favor.
"Take a minute to look around the school. It's falling apart, and I'm not talking about the architecture. The students are against each other more than ever. In other words, I think it's time to really step up the SLF."
The arrogant smile slowly crept away from Roth as he tone, and body language became a little more serious. 259 was slowly decaying as it's students were breaking down into gangs and territories more so than ever. It was a pattern. School gets rowdy, a group tries to keep it under control, fails, and then the Government rears it's ugly head. It would only be a matter of time before the hammer of Corporal Punishment came down hard.

"I'm not here to make trouble, but troubles a'comin."
That much was true because if Roth liked the way he looked and decided not to step down in this staring match of sorts Jaus would undoubtedly by pride alone be forced up into the saddle and take his own sort of control. His arms would cross and flex showing off his own fair amount of muscularity. Though a gesture of communion would be gifted with Roth's extended hand. Now Jaus wasn't the sort to be touchy, but he wasn't the type to be impolite either and seeing as his no-no touchy rule seemed to be falling through he'd match the man's grip shaking with a bulky grip.
"Take a minute to look around the school. It's falling apart, and I'm not talking about the architecture. The students are against each other more than ever. In other words, I think it's time to really step up the SLF."
He didn't so much like the theatrics of the whole look at your school deal but he could agree and even understand the worth of such words. He remembered Jayr's approach and how everything had such a weight to it. Though reflecting at Roth, he didn't know the man carried the same weight as she did. Not to say that his intentions weren't good or false. Jaus clinched his retracted hand settling them lightly across his chest and reflecting momentarily.
"I agree, but I gotta ask, do you have what it takes?"
He'd smirk letting his left leg inch back spreading his footing and drawing his arms apart to be utilized as he saw fit.

"Got what it takes?"Roth laughed with a smirk as his hand returned to his side. From what he had seen in the Tag Match Jaus certainly had a good deal of fight in him, but toward the end Jayr seemed to have gotten the best of him. Now it was Roth's turn to size him up. Now, how to open up? "Jaus, I'm wouldn't be in the SLF if I didn't have what it takes."Stairs were very difficult to fight on, not much room for footing, but it gave much room for experimentation. Last time he fought on the stairs of 259 Kenin had upchucked his lunch on him and ran away. Hopefully this fight would go the same way. Hopefully. Roth locked eyes with Jaus with his smirk still on his face. Not only did Roth have the high ground, but his unorthodox high flying style encouraged the high ground. Roth was about three steps away from Jaus. Roth gave a small lean forward and retracted his knees. From there he would shoot off the steps and bring his knees up to his chest. With luck and the element of surprise Roth was aiming to slam his knee's into Jaus' upper torso. Now if Roth missed, that'd be a hell of a way to fall down the stairs, but had the possibility to land on the next floor, sliding on his knees. If he hit however Roth just might be riding down the stairs on top of Jaus like sledding after a fresh snowfall. ooc: Move Example.

The ground in which you chose to fight was everything in a strategic battle. It meant the difference between winning and losing in a serious battle thats why Jaus was at a tactical disadvantage here. With the loss of the high ground he had to play this one close perhaps close enough to throw Roth into swirl of emotion and loose the advantage he had. Standing just a short distance too the game was in Roth's hands. Jaus winced knowing that, the game would be lost if he couldn't make this work right. And then snap.
Instinctively Jaus would raise his left arm upwards using it as a motived shield to guard his face from the blow of his knee the problem was of course that it was coming at his torso. Split target would hit with more weight than force as the advantage of the high ground came into play. He very well could have stepped out of the way but of course his policy of stepping into the furnace rather than backing out was overwhelming.
He'd duck under the blow now using the low ground and Roth's initial momentum to favor his move. At the point where Roth would be at his highest Jaus would be at his lowest entirely crouched and roping his right hand behind Roth's left thigh, thrusting upward with his hips Jaus would lift Roth back upwards so that he'd literally go head over heels and face plant into the ground if he didn't otherwise block his descent.
Rolling outwards after releasing him on his descent Jaus would back up so that his back right foot would touch the bottom stair. His hand raising to the goggles on his head curiously. He had a rather impressive power level really, at least compared to most standing at a total of 2,930. Still ultimately no match. Eyes narrowed and Jaus would juke down with a sideswipe to the face if his foe came up to face him. If he however kept his back to Jaus or remained on the ground he'd kick downwards with the right foot kicking off the stairs for additional force.

(ooc: sorry I took so long man, took days for me to figure out what I want to do with Roth. Finally found my answer) Swing and a miss. Sometimes when one goes big or goes home, he ends up going home. Roth barreled through the air after missing what would have been a real nice blow to the torso of his ally, Jaus. Now this wasn't completely a bad thing, until Jaus ended up latching his hand onto Roth's leg taking away his ability to land at all. Luckily, it did increase Roth's over all momentum foreword. Given he was already tucked in Roth was able to adjust his course just enough to start a small spin. Roth landed on the small amount of flat ground on his right shoulder. In a parkour fashion Roth rolled across his back and back to his curled feet. Being the flashy wrestling mother fucker that Roth was as soon as he got some solid ground under his feet he jumped. This jump would take Roth into the air once again to land on the metal rod used to push open the door to the stairwell. The rest of of his momentum would slam his body into the upper part of the door and the wall above it. While the slam hurt like a bitch Roth was still in attack mode. Once he regained what he could of his composure Roth would lean back and vault himself off of the long door handle. Jaus would soon be on the receiving end of a large man flying at him in a Moonsault]. On the plus side Roth could have a good chance to get in some major damage and perhaps from his landing he could start working on taking out Jaus's legs. On the down side there may be a kick coming from Jaus that would end up hitting him in the head pretty damn hard.

The move was expected to say the least, not the recurrence itself which would be exactly what Jaus would have aimed to pull off but rather what Roth had planned next. The boy who was now about to take the heavy impact head on could only cock his head in speculation as he'd never seen anything quite like the move but had a pretty quick reaction as to how to deal with it.
You see there were two things a fighter could do in these situations. Step down and recalibrate themselves, or step up into the fire and deal with it when it came. Jaus did the later. His right foot in stepping forward his left weighed back for support as he expected the force from the lunge itself being the strongest blow. Wrapping his left arm around the leg corresponding with its side taking a hard grip on the inner heel as well as doing the same on the other ankle this time however inverting the direction of the grip.
The force quickly however would drop him on his flank to the floor with a crippling thud. Upon landing Jaus rolled his back into an inverted arch flexing his pelvis upward and using his grip on the ankles to throttle Roth over his head and into just about the same position he was right about now.

OOC: As I am SLF, I thought I'd be allowed. Lemme know if I'm wrong. Right now I'm just watching.
"Ah, such an interesting fight. I should interfere... but I'll let Roth settle it his way."
Quite calmly hanging upside down from the railing above the fight, Orion was watching the two fight. It seemed to be an interesting mix of street fighting and wrestling... on stairs. Not exactly good fighting ground, but there it was. As he watched, Roth flipped off the wall just below Orion's head and went down at someone he learned to be named Jaus.
Now, there was four things he could in this situation. The first was continue watching the battle, and then drag the loser to the nurse. The second was to help Roth and attack Jaus. The third was attack Roth for the hell of it. And the fourth was cracking their skulls together and yelling at them that they needed to work together.
Orion was doing the first, though he was starting to favor the fourth option, the muscleheads that they were.

(ooc: Wasn't 100% sure on your move, so message me if I fuck this up =D)
Flips and spins, and turns and tricks. These two fighters were both doing all sorts of acrobatics today. Roth went for the moonsault, and it ended somewhat successful. They were both on the ground and the impact seemed to hit fairly hard on both of them. Roth could feel his legs in Jaus's grip. Not good. As Jaus switched onto his back Roth would grab Jaus's legs, returning the favor.
Now Jaus was strong. really strong as he began to lift Roth into a standing position just by his lower legs. But Roth now hand Jaus's legs as well which would take a majority of the power his his pelvis and lower legs out of the picture.
If Jaus was still able to lift Roth on upper body strength alone then Roth would fall back wards in an attempt to stretch Jaus's hamstrings while taking a seat on one of the nearby steps. If the tow men stayed in the same position laying on each other then Roth would collapse his all upper body weight onto Jaus's legs while using his arms to start wrenching his left ankle, twisting it as much as he could without breaking it. After all this was still just a friendly spar.

Now Jaus seemed to be upside down. Acrobatics, not a joke as seemingly now Jaus and Roth seemed to be sixty-nining there way about this fight. Not to make things awkward of course but things would perhaps get a bit more so before this was over.
Jaus now with his legs up in the air would squeeze his thighs together in an attempt to crush Roth's head. Granted he probably would do better just to take out Roth's legs but he feared the repercussions of landing on his head and possibly suffering a concussion. With his thighs amply clamping, his genitalia gingerly flopping to and fro in Roth's face, and all the momentum in Roth's favor for the moment he expected something to be done of this arrangement be it forcibly or aptly agreed upon that they take a break to reposition their offenses.

This certainly was awkward. For years people including Roth had made fun of things like UFC because it just ended up being a boxing match or a ground hug fest. But this was gayer, much gayer. Both men started yanking and pulling on each other's legs until Roth felt it. In the two men's struggle it seemed that Jaus genitalia brushed against Roth's face. At that moment Roth froze and tried to make eye contact with Jaus.
"B-b-Ballsack!"
Roth nearly jumped out of his skin. He immediately released Jaus and squirmed as much as he could until he met the nearest wall. Slowly Roth would get to his feet and allow Jaus to get to his feet as well. Roth looked at Jaus, then his...'private area'.
"Number 1: We never, EVER mention what just happened. Number 2: We take this to a place with more...'feng shui'."
Roth would await an answer from his fellow SLF member before taking this fight to a new location. Perhaps something more public as well. After all the SLF name had been pretty quiet since the SLF Riot. Perhaps it was time to put that name back onto the scene.

THATS ABSOLUTELY RIGHT!
Jaus Valentine's secret weapon had apparently been revealed in the arrival of his ball sack to the playing field. However unintentional it was the flailing mess of flesh caught behind a layer of soft fabric would essentially throw his opponent off his forte in this fight essentially dropping Jaus outrightly so. Now in this position once more it was unfavorable to Jaus seeing as a fall unabated would sufficiently break his neck. However being in this position with the grip he'd attained around Roth's ankles would reduce the speed at which Jaus fell decidedly rolling down and out into a roll putting all the pressure on Roth's ankles. The boy may not notice any pain now but in the long run it may play out to cause crippling harm in precise motions.
Upon the release now however Jaus had rolled out across from the boy his arms raise prepared to continue when of course Roth interrupted.
"Number 1: We never, EVER mention what just happened. Number 2: We take this to a place with more...'feng shui'."
The young man paused standing there in an embarrassed frozen position looking like the message was still coming to him before flushing red in embarrassment. He didn't realize how gay it actually had looked from another's position and now was paying for it.
"Uh-yeah course..."
Jaus muttered with the mental image now fixated in his brain, his right hand scrawling up towards the back of his head massaging it gingerly with a measure of grace as to not appear victimized or guilty.

"Good."
Roth slowly advanced up to Jaus, and then past him leading up the stairs. Once there Roth would make his way down a relativly empty hallway. These kids currently had lunch break so Roth and Jaus would have a good fifteen minutes until some of the students and teachers started to return.
Roth would wait for Jaus in the hall getting his baic stance down. Open hands and loose legs. Then he flet some of the damage done to his ankles from Jaus's earlier grip. That might pose a problem later, but for now he was ready to pick this little spar back up.
"Your move."
